  1. I caught more fish yesterday on the standard 110, but did catch some on the plus one. The plus one does go alot deeper, and has pretty good action, but to me it didn't have the action that the standard 110 had, the price of having a big bill on the front I guess, but it still looked good!
  2. Thanks man, we need to meet up one of these days and chase some smallies. I have to say, I was making fun of myself for paying that much for a lure, but it does have some great action, very impressed.
  3. Thanks Cody, maybe you can get your rig lined out! We didn't catch any monsters, think 16 incher was the big one today, but caught several around that size. Don't feel bad, my time is coming where my boat will probably set up for all of spring until planting is over....
  4. After both our wifes telling us we where crazy, my buddy Chad and I headed to the River this morning. We haven't been up here in over a month, and thought we needed some aqua therapy before we start putting in 80 plus hour weeks before long when corn planting starts, which could be awhile as long as it's this cold. It was spitting snow once we entered Missouri, and my truck showed it to be 25, and a guy on the radio said there was an 18 degree windchill. We had a pretty good day of fishing, at least a half day anyways, the first two hours of the day was colder than a welldigger, but we did manage to catch some smallmouth during this time. I started out pretty hot with my new Megabass I bought about a month ago, Chad was using a KVD, but the Megabass outcaught it 3 to one early on. I even caught a double on it, two 15 inchers on the same lure, that was a treat for sure! I saw the other one flash, so i let the fish that was caught run a little bit and hooked the other one, which was very cool! Chad went to a jig and float and did pretty well doing that for awhile. I caught one on a flyrod, but the 30 mph gusts at times didn't bode well for my 5wt, so basically stuck with the jerkbait. After the smallmouth got lockjaw, we tried another stretch and managed to catch a few goggleye. It was very cold, but was fairly productive, especially at first. I hope next time I go it's a little warmer!!
  5. Dandy Crappie siusaluki, holler at me at the fish fry! Was suppose to go Saturday, but my fishing partner canceled on me, so i stayed home, but I'm heading out tommorrow, been getting my boat ready while it's spitting snow, wind chill suppose to be in the teens in the morning in Southern Missouri where I'm headed. I'm not crazy, just crazy about fishing, there is a difference....
  6. That will be a sweet setup! If you ever need a winter fishing buddy, you know how to get ahold of me.....
  7. Only a face a mother could love.. 4 state area? Your gonna give away your fishing spot....
  8. Great video as always Phil, wish I could make it up there, those trout are hitting good. Taney is a great place to throw jigs! Was curious, I noticed you had really good audio with that vid, I take it you where wearing a mic? Is that with the Gopro?
  9. That's the video I was referring to, that thing is an absolute monster, thanks for posting that!
  10. This is a really cool topic, love seeing all these Pigs. Mine so far would be 19 and a quarter, would love to break that 20 someday. Someone put a video on here this spring of a married couple fishing in March on one of the Larger Rivers in the Ozarks, that thing was huge, has to be pushing 21, but the girth was what was so impressive!
  11. Finally got all the footage together!!
  12. Finally got this together from my Brown trout trip with my friend Kyle, on the White River. It was really an unforgettable day for me, espicially at the end! Turned out a little longer than I thought, but there was alot of footage, wife said if it had commercials it could fill a slot on TV..lol
  13. Wow! i'd say at least 6 pounds maybe 7
  14. That's good stuff!
  15. Got more I'm working on from the trip, but threw this one together of that big trout I caught Monday. It was a load of fun all day catching those Browns. Thanks to David Capps for putting us on the big ones!! White river is a truely special place!
  16. Also, he was mentioned the other day in a discussion on here. I remember Virgal Wards later shows, good stuff. Gotta love Youtube..
  17. Thanks Man, although was fishing with Mr. Capps today, this guy can put you on the big Browns! Used a combination during the day Gavin, but the big one came on a Shiner. Being my friend kyle was new to this, we did a spin fishing trip. The way the generation is right now, i'd say for the big browns the sculpins and shiner combo is hard to beat. I really wanted to sling some jerkbaits bad, but was hard to mess with a good thing!!
  18. Well guys, had a great day, and a milestone on the White River today. I met up with my good friend Kyle, who has a place in Mt. Home. A couple months ago, we decided to book a trip with David Capps to chase some big Browns, which is something I've been wanting to focus on for a while now. I've started targeting them more on the Little Red River, but haven't fished the White much other than at Calico Rock. We were fishing on the river today near Gastons resort, up and down the river from there. Anyhow, we had a steller day on the River, at one point during the middle of the day, when the generation was just right, there were Browns coming in the boat like we were fishing for Bluegill. Then this big one hit, took a bit to land him to, 29 inches. My buddy Kyle, this was his first ever trout fishing trip, so he's probably ruined after today, he boated several nice ones as well, and like myself was on cloud 9 on the drive home.
  19. Sweet Video, might have to check out powerdirector sometime. I've been using pinnacle studio 14, i'm just now getting the hang of it, but there's alot more it can do I haven't discovered yet.
  20. I to just ordered a 110. I"ve been using RC STX's and having pretty good results, but hear all the time how good these are, so going to try one..
  21. That was awesome! Wish I were there!
  22. Thanks! We had a fun time despite the rain. It won't last, towards the end of the month i'll be getting busy again. Headed to White River Monday to stay at a buddy's place in Mt. Home, gonna chase some Browns!!
  23. Just had to, hope ya'll like it! My 4 year old son gave it a two thumbs up, so that's enough for me! Best part might be the first 30 seconds....
  24. Dad gum Man, you tell it like you feel it don't ya, have to respect that. Making these non oscar winning films is what I do best I guess, as my last one I made had about 7 or 8 off your top ten list there. Like someone said on here earlier, I make my videos mainly to look at for myself on a later date, when I have cabin fever, and probably when I'm old and can't do this anymore. But I do share them on youtube these days as I do have people that enjoy them, as well as on here. I enjoy all the stuff guys put on here, Brian's stuff is awesome I think. I do enjoy the conversations and excitement while fishing, that video's can capture. I can't speak for others, but the reason I put music on mine at times, is the audio is sometimes not so good on a GoPro, although on a video I'm working on now, I found out on my editor I can turn up the volume. Might have to post that one later and see if it gets a two thumbs up....lol
