great post!i'm still dreaming about fishing out west so it was a great comparison.
i really enjoy catching both smallies and trout from the same rivers.
The river was way higher than the park.the windyville guage shows 18'!I checked 3 accesses and the roads were flooded way before I could get to the actual river.so I m guessing it ll be at least a few days if it doesn't t rain more...it looked more like the Missouri.
Just left there.the park is going down but it s still in the parking lot s.if it rains anymore I wouldn't t go this weekend.I tried black and yellow jigs in the parking lot s with no luck.the wood bridge is under water so that entrance is closed.they evacuated the campsites.
the tx is the 6th and 7th.i'm not even prefishing but my sources say it's typical late summer truman.wieghts have been down all year from what i hear.
so how was the fishin on the ln?
anybody who wants to do a day trip thurs thru mon (28th thru the 1st ) pm me before wed nite. or the bn or bennett.or even truman
it should still be summer patterns.flats and tree rows.but the channels and channel bluffs produce too.some days you just have to work harder than others.
yep tournament.sorry i forget not everybody is up on the lingo.it's also true nobody wants to spell it....
let's go with badass just for fun.... i've fished tx's on truman every month of the year but jan.don't do too many anymore but this is actually a regional.it's gonna be a grind.anymore i'd rather be on the river.
anyway i've been to barclay and the park the last weekend and the rain didn't affect the snot at all.
it is beautiful scenery.in the second photo i couldn't believe that huge tree hadn't fallen.it sticks almost straight out from the bank.
i've got some pic's to post, especially of muffin riding up front.
