  1. The old pair I'm replacing are these ... And I also ordered a pair of these... Same blades, I think, just heavier handles. I can't even tell you how much carpet, fiberglass, wire loom, stainless shim material, wire, gasket material, ect. that they cut over the years, before they ever started getting dull. They snip off squirrel and bullfrog feet really well too. I tried to sharpen them about a year ago but the blades are micro-serrated.....so they never did sharpen up like when they were new(er). Best pair of scissors I've ever had my hands on.
  2. It looks cool. I'm a bit confused about the hackle (type and angle). 🤔
  3. Well that's cool 👍 I never actually looked, to be honest. I asked another lineman and he said "Yeah those were great, they don't make them anymore",.... and I just took his word for it. Ordering 2 of them right now. THANKS 😉
  4. Uh oh, it's time for a Weigh-in around here. Everybody go grab your bump board and camera. Let's settle this. Sugarbritches says that I probably need to cull.
  5. A family up the road (migrants from New York City) got all concerned because the mom saw a "bear" 3-4 times back behind her house. Finally they called the sheriff and the sheriff requested an MDC agent to go out there and investigate it. Later that night her son text me and wanted to know what a "Barrel Hog" was. I said ,"OMG is it a BARREL HOG?? Oh man, I'd rather have a bear !" His mom started hyperventilating so I couldn't keep the entertainment going any longer.......Told him that I was sure the MDC agent had said "feral" not "barrel" and sent him a Google link.
  6. Get this lovely creature to escort you !
  7. It sucks that you are. Otherwise you could make decent cornbread.
  8. The only logical answer is that they are trees that can momentarily come to life. And then turn back into trees at will, and obviously when they die. When you consider the life cycle of some insects, that theory isn't so far fetched. And besides..... there are illuminati clues 😉 Careful where you hang those tree stands, boys !
  9. If a tree can "know", then a tree can throw. ☝️
  10. No surprise. They don't have to be wired ABYC coded (and many aren't)......but it sure makes things easier when they are. https://www.boatingmag.com/abyc-color-codes-boat-wiring/ Yours is at least partially coded, as GRAY and GRAY/BLUE STRIPE is coded to running lights.
  11. The blue wire is for illuminated switches, or for little lights next to the switch (indicating that the switch closest to the light is ON). Not to confuse you with technicalities.....but the purple stripe on the RED (12v+) wire tells me that you also have a MASTER POWER switch (or should have) that powers up/down the entire switch panel. The rule is....., any wire with a stripe on it....is a wire that is only hot (or grounded) when SOMETHING activates it (switch, button, sensor, ect.) and that circuit is always fused or has a breaker associated with it. Solid colored wires are always hot (or grounded) and often unfused.
  12. Where does one find a pair ? I need a fresh pair for my toolbox. The 20+ year old pair of Klein's that I was gifted by a telephone lineman need to be retired, and it appears they don't make them anymore. Those things, when new, would cut a battery cable like it was a piece of licorice, and they are only 5-6" long.
  13. Zantac I believe is just a concentrated calcium bicarb (the mother of all Tums). We have a fairly well schooled pharmacist here, but he never has an opinion on anything but math. 😅
  14. Noooo no no! The Weiner wouldn't like electricity. I'm certain of it. If this dog of mine doesn't stop getting into stuff he knows he is not supposed to I'm gonna stick these probes to his nut sack and light him up ! He started off acting like he felt sorry for me......but now I notice that he is strategically capitalizing on my temporary weakness. 😡
  15. Americans worked hard, trained hard, and paid out the rear-end so that nothing like that would ever happen. Then SOMEONE failed us. Failed us AGAIN. Failed us a 3rd time. And then a 4th. And then a really big 5th !!! Because it's all "confidential and classified" to ensure there are things we commoners can't be trusted to know. And laws put in place to terminate anyone who attempts to share that information. Then a brown man (the alleged bad guy) was allegedly thrown in the ocean......to settle the score. 🙄 Hmmm, ya reckon? Because it was important to honor his religion ya know. Yeah. Right on. The "SPLASH" heard 'round the world.
  16. Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do, no doubt. Especially when you work for a company that will just replace you if you're absent for a period of time. The human body has amazing healing abilities though, and I am a firm believer that if you can allow it time to heal itself then you are way better off. Personally I'm more comfortable trusting that then I am trusting "health professionals". And nobody can fire me for not making it to work, so......
  17. Pharmaceutical drugs are bad news. When I was 17 I saved a girl's life that ate a fistful of Quaaludes and tried to swim across a strip pit. If you're familiar with Quaaludes then you know that a "fistful" is only 3. They don't make them anymore.....for good reason. If I get a severe laceration, get shot, or break a bone then I'll go to a doctor/hospital right away......but I don't like the idea of going for some inconvenient ailment so that I can be medicated. I grew up in a house that had the latest PDR on the coffee table, and prior issues on the bookshelf. There hasn't been a truly beneficial medication invented since penicillin.....and they couldn't even leave that one alone.
  18. This thing is actually great. For 60.00 everybody should own one. And you can't even cast a shadow on the door at a doctor's office for that. Definitely put a stop to my sleeping problem. 5 minutes of this and I'm sawing logs. Trust me. Get ya one ! It's gotta be better for you than gobbling pain pills and muscle relaxers. 👍 I'm not so sure that the full moon isn't making it worse. I've heard people that have migraines suffer worse during the full moon, and I always thought that was BS......but I'm starting to believe when you have an ailment of this type there's something to that.
  19. I would.......And it ain't. He may have done it ONCE, for about 1/4 mile, but I guarantee he isn't likely to try it again.
  20. I know, I know.....🙄 But what the hell is a doctor gonna do? Prescribe me the same pain pills that I already have ? I'm trying not to load up on anymore narcotics than is absolutely possible. If taken as prescribed I will be fighting constipation next. It ain't like he can wave a magic hand over my rear end and fix anything. I think I just need time to heal. I should have taken a few days off back when it wasn't so bad.......but who knew it was gonna get THIS bad 🤷‍♂️. Ugh! 😞
  21. Bought a "10's unit" today, so I'm currently being zapped. Feels really good when it's hooked up, but the instant I turn it off the pain returns. Might have been a total waste of money, we'll see. 🙄 I'll tell ya one thing.......if you ever want to see your pecker shrink down to the size of a 3 year old.....just attach electrodes to your hip and turn it on HIGH. Pretty scary !
  22. Our trucks almost made love once on an icy road. And I've met his son. Seemed like a good dude, dependable hard worker. 👍 Noooo, that's ME! And don't you dare attempt to take the title away and give it to someone else after all the work I've put into it. 😉
  23. Today I'm alternating Advil/Tylenol, and I'm not going to make the mistake of tackling a project when/if the discomfort subsides. Gotta have a few days to just chill I think. When I look across the yard I see all these things that I am supposed to be doing, and people are depending on me to get them done.....but I just fricken can't. It's bumming me out !
  24. Well I grossly overdid it yesterday 😥 A dig through the medicine cabinet revealed some leftover Hydrocodone from one of the kids wisdom tooth extractions. Score!!! Down the hatch!! 👍 30 minutes later I'm dancing around the shop like MC Hammer, slinging gearcases around, and just living my best life. It wore off in about 4 hours, so I shoved a sandwich down my throat and popped another one, but an hour later there was no relief at all, and the muscle in my leg was uncontrollably rumbling like a bag of popcorn in the microwave. An hour later I'm hiding from wife and kid in the shower because tears are rolling down my face. Had to beg the wife to dig out a pair of crutches from the attic just so I could move around the house. Managed to sleep in little 1.5-2 hour stints last night, and it's obvious that I'm gonna have to take a few days off. I'm not even answering work calls today.....cuz someone will invariably try to talk me into doing something......and I ain't gonna. Period! If you could see how my dog looks at me and softly whines when I'm in serious pain you'd know why I love this jackass. What a good boy! 🤗 That "sciatic nerve" is nothing to play around with. That MFer will flat put you DOWN.
  25. Are you really hesitant to publicly name Cedar cr. ? 😅
