    Above the water surface I can only hear a ticking transducer if I am less than 6ft. away. I think it's obvious that his mic results are amplified drastically, but nevertheless we will likely never know how well fish can hear.....or which fish hear better than others. An interesting observation that I've confirmed personally is that Carp & Buffalo are more easily spooked with a trolling motor than they are with an outboard.

    They'll suffocate a Coleman lantern in no time at all, on the Salt river. Those particular mayflys are "burrowers", and if your in an area that has a sandy/silty bottom it's not uncommon to have literal blanket hatches when the conditions are just right. You might expect the fishing to be GREAT....but typically it's just the opposite. I think even the fish get overwhelmed.

    Oh yeah! About this time every year on the middle portion of the Salt River. It's pretty gross ! I've camped through it before. Tents, trees, and cars covered like that the morning after. So thick you can smell them.

    This is definitely true.....and it's frustrating as hell. If you have a friend/relative at the license bureau they can make anything happen without a hitch. But if you don't they will 100% try to ruin your day.

    I was thinking about this again over the weekend. One difference might be in the knots. I'm not using a loop knot ever, and you use them all the time. Could the loop knot give it more freedow to get things moving? Probably 🤔 Next time I tie one on I'll cinch it down and see if that's the culprit. Good thought.

    Just for the record, my state voted the way that I would have. So my choice to not participate in the voting game had no effect whatsoever on the outcome. Same deal on the upcoming one.

    I'm the opposite of a "tough guy". If a doctor tells me I have a serious ailment that I'm not aware of..... I'll worry myself to death over it, and my quality of life goes to $#!t. So I'd prefer to not know, and just flop.

    Well hell🙄 The fact that you woke up, and still knew where the bathroom and the coffee pot was, should have made you feel like you were still in good health. Why did you need to pay someone else to tell you? And don't say "it didn't cost anything"..... because YES IT DID ! It cost all of us.

    I'd say that Pickleball is to blame. Once a dude takes up pickleball they seem to lose their desire to seriously fish, or even talk about fishing. A few I know have even sold their boats. There's a couple of douchebags on here that I'm anxious to see join a Pickleball league. 😅 Babler certainly wasn't one of them though.😢

    100% 👍 I've had to stand on my fingers a dozen times, to keep from questioning the faith you appear to have in your doctors.....But I know if I go there I'll get piled on by this bunch of politically correct nimrods.🙄 Regardless, I hope that you're doing (and allowing) what you truly feel is the best for YOU.

    I have a hard time recognizing the good that came from us participating in any of the foreign wars. I feel bad for all the boys that got forced to be killed in all of them, and wish they hadn't allowed themselves to be forced into going in the first place. By my personal standards, our military should defend our borders and our way of life.....and stay out of conflicts elsewhere. I'm sure there's probably good reasons why that isn't possible, but I don't know what they are.

    I'm not a big night-time pisser, to be honest. I hear everyone talk about waking up in the middle of the night, sometimes several times, because they have to pee......but I piss before I lay down, and I'm usually good for the night. 🤷

    "Should be". Her version of keeping your hands washed, and YOUR version.....are likely very different. I know that my version and my wife's version are nothing alike. She'll wash her hands because she tossed me the rag that I wiped mine on.

    I had the air box cover off a 4 cylinder outboard yesterday, syncing the carburetor linkage, and just as I blipped the throttle a cicada flew by and got sucked down the throat of carb #2. The motor immediately started running like crap, and I had to remove the carb and use hemostats to get the little bastard out of the reed cage. Had I not been looking at the time, and saw the cicada get sucked in there......I would have been chasing that sudden issue for Lord knows how long.
