  1. Originally I didn't, it wasn't my intent, but they do fit better if I am bulked up with long johns and a fleece jacket. I actually only wear them when it's raining or snowing. The matching overcoat is sized the same.....and fits the same. (XL in my case). You are a bit taller than me, but otherwise pretty much the same size (I think).
  2. I wondered about that. Looks like they are all about stupid crappie crap now. How guys get so ate up about crappie fishing is a mystery to me. To each their own. 🙄 If there ever was a gayer fish than a Crappie......I sure don't know what it could be. 🌈
  3. 👍 Good on you!!!! 😊 My girls are fishing experts (for their age) but I never could interest any of them in hunting AT ALL. 😔 If they could cuddle them, kiss them, and then let them go......it would be different I'm sure.
  4. I have Cabela's Guidewear bibs, and I like them, but I bought them a couple years before the sellout. They are probably different now. Mine don't have a barn door for your peter....so you have to get completely undressed to take a leak. Only downside.
  5. Hmmm, I can't either, now. 🤔 Figures. 🙄
  6. IMO the Garlands are more of a Smallmouth bait.......but then again I have had a couple of 15-18lb. largemouth limits using them.
  7. https://chompers.com/contact-us/ You've gotta call them if you want plain grubs (no salt/garlic).
  8. Get them without the salt and slimy garlic juice, and a single grub body will stay on a jighead and last all day. Plus they are less expensive that way. Bobby Garland also still makes the original spider grub.....The one that started it all. They're cheap ! Yamamoto's always have too much salt in them, won't hold their color, and the tails rip off too easily.
  9. Ya know, you can call TR tackle co. and get them minus the salt & garlic for a bit cheaper. And they work even better. 👍
  10. It's hard to tell how much "debris" (leaves and crap) is on the surface, but if it's really clean I'd love to see you fellas show those shallow cruisers a dry fly. Specifically a #16 Coachman Trude. Or a Royal Trude....if you're feeling fancy. I betcha they'll eat it. 😊
  11. I figured that in order to get your "degree" you had to answer the test questions in the way you were taught to.
  12. have gone to a whole new level. The Covid has shrunk Phil, and now he's fishing from the top of the trolling motor. 😳 Bygod he's catching them too! 👍 Top THAT, Blake !!!
  13. If you can beat the heavy hitters that'll be participating......then you're definitely on that level. It's scheduled on a Tuesday to filter out the rif-raf. 😁
  14. Doesn't matter. A biologist once said that Threadfin shad and cottonmouths can't thrive north of a certain line.....and that's all there is to it. To debunk either would ensure a place in hades for you, and all of your lineage, for all eternity. 😊 So just spare your great grandchildren the grief. 👍
  15. One of my closest friends is one also. Let me just level my statement by saying that Outboard/Marine mechanics are often full of misinformation too. 👍
  16. Oh FFS, not the Threadfin debate again. 🙄
  17. They don't always leave.....they just quit biting. All of them, in unison. That's the most irritating thing about temperate bass IMO. You can be right in the middle of them for hours and not get a single one to even chase a bait.....then all of a sudden, for some unknown reason....they just turn on and will eat anything that moves. I'm almost 100% convinced that they communicate telepathically, or something. I've ballooned enough of them to know.
  18. Information like this (from biologist's) is where you need to use some discretion in what you choose to believe......if you want what you believe to be accurate.
  19. No. Absolutely not. This is part of "Hunting". Learn to properly care for your game.... or DON'T go hunting. Period.
  20. What are they busy doing ? Just curious. 🤔
  21. Not sure if I can buy into that theory. There's a lot of creeks and rivers chock full of shad between there and Nebraska. 😂
  22. What is in the "restricted area" that's so precious ?
  23. Where's the closest stocking point ? I'm curious where MDC would say those are coming from. 🤔
