But you do tie more flys, and buy more expensive fly boxes.
There are a several reasons that I like barbs on hooks that have nothing to do with landing fish. What do you do with a soaking wet barbless dry fly? Or any soaking wet barbless fly, for that matter? Might as well just throw it on the ground or in the stream...... because that's where it's going to end up.
Oh I'm making fun of it too ! π
My second marriage was the stupidest thing I've ever done. The fact that I'm capable of laughing about it NOW, I feel is a testament to my mental health. I feel like most guys, if they put themselves in the same situation, would go suicidal.
Actually this is the 3rd, but while we had a really big "wedding", and consider ourselves married.....I refused to sign yet another marriage license and register it with the state.
It only took the bowfishers about 4-5 years to put a noticable dent in the carp & buffalo population here at Lake O .
The flats used to be lousy with them....but I haven't seen a single one out on the flats over the last year or so. They are just gone!
Oh I was once married to a nympho. It was cool, but in the end it cost me 164k and put me on the MOSOP list.
Learned a lesson that I'm sure I've shared here before....... If they are crazy in bed, then they are crazy when out of bed too. π
Public health officials say these are the first two bats to test positive for rabies in St. Louis County this year.
Really ? The STL "Public Health Officials" routinely capture, and test, bats ?
What other critters do they chase around and monitor?
I was going to start charging for parking on my property during the weekends because people always ask to park there when going to the party spot down the road. AND THEN I learned that if I charge them to park I may be legally responsible if their vehicle gets broke into or damaged.
So I just gotta let them park there, or gate it off.
So...... remember that, if your vehicle ever gets damaged in any way while at Quarry Park. π
I don't think his butt has a basal cell carcinoma, and I'm darn sure not sharing this 400.00/tube medication with him. He'll have to settle for this 14.00 stuff....and coconut oil.
He had a dry flakey area there that he kept knawing at. We shaved it off so that I could better inspect it, and treat the skin without greasing up a bunch of hair & fur.
At a place like Bennett Spring the sketchy wading spots, or places where the walking is risky to access the stream, are usually the premium spots to be.
Most casual visitors prefer well manicured paths, and easy to wade areas, with ample backcasting space. They seldom challenge themselves.
They WOULD HAVE. Luckily their plan went south. Any KNOWLEDGEABLE biologist, that had any fishing experience, would have realized that putting an exhaust water pipe in that spot was detrimental.
Hopefully the NEW PLAN will abandon that for good.
No, that hussy wouldn't help me ! π
Had to do it all myself, and I'll be the first to admit that "manscaping" makes me as nervous as walking through a mine field. I've got a genuine case of PTSD to deal with now. π₯
If you've never busted your @$$ tripping over a greased cannon ball boulder in the High Bank hole.......then you've never actually fished Bennett Spring. π
I'm not sure what the thermometer said earlier, but everyone in the area could tell you what I said when I grabbed the wrench and steering bracket that I had left setting in the sun for 30 minutes π€¬
