  1. Instead of becoming someone prepared to fight a "tyrannical government" I think it way easier to become someone impossible to find. For less than the cost of an arsenal and huge supply of ammo I can become a ghost, and alleviate all the stress and worry of being involved in a gunfight.
  2. 3/32 drill bit, cordless drill, slow speed.
  3. Oh ok, my bad then. They culled through 40+
  4. Wasn't 4th Stonitch and Shadrick ?
  5. What, you don't think I'd be a cool teacher ? 😎
  6. Awesome! You've got it. We don't need a derby though, all we need is a day with no school or broken boats. 😉
  7. And he was CAUGHT. That's the key right there.
  8. I figured that you would be. And I think they do too. I'm kinda anxious to get back into competitive fishing but I've pretty much vowed to refrain until a better method of scoring that doesn't involve taking fish from their homes is adopted.
  9. I know the guys that took 4th and they culled through 40+ keepers. Shrapnel culled through 20+ keepers. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place guys likely did the same. That is a lot of relocated fish for just one little derby. Then add in all the others from 5th place on down.... I hate to be a jerk but do y'all really not care? I know MDC doesn't and I'm not surprised, but I am surprised that the guys that I know just keep doing this. It aint like there's any real money to be made ! The 4th place guys didn't even make enough to buy a decent reel. Congrats on your success and all, But C'mon you guys, please start pushing for changes in the scoring format.. ..Or at least openly admit that YEAH THIS IS STUPID, BUT WE'RE GONNA KEEP DOING IT ANYWAY. 🙄
  10. I'll never be pro gun confiscation regardless of the type of gun. But saying "I want an AR15 because it's the best choice for the type of game hunting I do"....is a giant crock of bull butter.
  11. Running the blower clears normal fumes that can cause a flash fire (the type that goes out on its own, or can easily be extinguished). But when a boat becomes a raging fireball then there was a fuel leak, and when there's a fuel leak running the blower only feeds the cocktail. Water seperator filters (that everyone is convinced that they MUST HAVE) are the biggest source of raw fuel leaks in onboard and I/O boats.
  12. Cheesy scales. They might as well score by measurement.
  13. That sounds rediculous. Can you give me an example of a few of those? Who could possibly stand amongst a pile of guns and sort them as such? Every action needs not be either a right or a priveledge. Those are just made up words, and putting context and discussion to those words just shows that you are ultimately mind-controlled. I'm fixin' to go poop, and whether I have a right to do it or it is a granted priveledge has never/will never be a consideration of mine. Try to stop me from doing it....and things are gonna get messy. People who haven't harmed anyone yet need to be left alone. That's the thing that the government and the laws of our country are getting wrong. If a policeman wants to just shoot the bull then that's cool and fine, but the moment they start being authoritive without a good reason they are breaking the rules of peace.
  14. The frog bite is good on the lower end of the lake. Should be good up there, but it's worth considering that they held the lake very low right up until just a few weeks ago..so much of that upper end stuff has been fishless for quite some time (since last October). It'll take awhile at the current level for some fish to move back up.
  15. You aren't required to carry ID everywhere you go. I don't carry any identification when I bike ride and have had a cop ask for ID. When I told him I had none he asked my name, so I told him, but then asked him "are you gonna take my word for it?" LEO's lie all the time so I can't imagine them taking anyone else's word for anything. As to being shot for fishing without a license, or failing to identify yourself to a MDC agent.... Never! Not around witnesses anyway.
  16. Um, no, you have a permit to be revoked because you've already paid for it. It aint like they give you your money back. The ignorant thing about it is that hunting/fishing permits get revoked right before drivers licenses get suspended. After that you technically don't have any ID to carry, so if you're fishing and an agent approaches you he can't really identify you, and basically all you have to do is turn your back and walk away. What's he gonna do, shoot you? I saw a guy pretend to not understand English and just walk away when a MDC agent asked to see his permit and the agent just stood there looking stupid for a minute....then went to check someone else. It was kinda funny.
  17. Inboards and I/O's are pretty much a bomb looking for a reason to go off. You can't just bury a high performance V/8 engine (or 3 of them), plus their fuel supply and batteries under upholstery, and pipe in only enough fresh air for the intake, and expect things to remain safe.
  18. In all reality Bearing Buddy's are nothing more than a glorified dust cap. There isn't enough spring tension to push grease past the outer bearing and into the hub. There is always going to be an air pocket, and the air pocket is always going to suck water when you dip the warm wheel into cool water. A properly packed hub with a plain old dust cap will last 4-5 years. Bearing Buddy's truly don't extend the service interval of wheel bearings, but they look cool and it makes you feel like you're really doing something to pump grease into them. If they worked like everyone thinks they do then they'd pop out on hot days from air expansion.
  19. Yeah I dunno. If I have to spend more than 5 minutes on it then it gets brand new bearing buddy's. Usually a tap with a drift punch gets the ball unstuck. Better to have new ones than to pay my time to fix old ones. 😎
  20. Pop it with a tiny drift punch to unseat the check ball. If that doesn't work remove it with a 8mm socket and replace it with a new one.
  21. I have seen what I feel is an equal amount of all brands and types of on-board chargers fail. I used to buy high dollar 2/10/50's for use in the shop...and they failed too, earlier than I expected. It's just the nature of them. They don't last long, and returning for warranty replacement is a huge hassle. I buy fairly cheap battery charger(S) so I can keep at least 2 that are working. Currently I have 7 in a pile that don't work, and 3 that do. Someday I'll think of something cool to do with the ones in the bone pile.
  22. Now you've come down with Alzheimer's. Cuz surely you went "Streaking" in the mid 70's.
  23. When are we gonna have a fun day? I wanna get one of these ....
