  1. The fact that the lake was at (and still is) at 655.xx has alot to do with it. The rain fell on alot of bare bank. Miles and miles of bare bank, as in equal to the coast of California....or so I've heard. That's a lot of silt for a lake no wider than this one is. Then we had several windy days, which added more. The clear water coming in from the creeks now is pretty much staying on top. Here in the upper Gravi the first 10inches of water is clear, but the water underneath that surface layer is still heavily stained.
  2. Yeah, the pens don't work for the 1322 pistol, and they tend to swell up the skirts..... especially the last 4-5 if you aren't real gentle about it. Can you snap a pic so I can see which pin it goes on. I don't think mine has room for it, I may need a longer pin also.
  3. It's ok, Robbie with the sheared flywheel key is covering it.
  4. On another note, I think I may have crushed that Simmons scope this evening. If so it didn't even make it through 100 shots. My POI went haywire right before I was ready to quit and go inside. Shot big guns all my life and never had a scope fail. Been into airguns for only 4 months and have already destroyed 5 of them.
  5. Noooo, I made that a couple days ago, just didn't get proud of it until I had a chance to try it out. I was actually doing my real job when you started pestering me. I'll tell my customer to send you a bill for the 0.2 hr. that you cheated him out of.
  6. Yeah. Very handy for the pumper pistol and the single-shot break barrel. I was kinda proud of that.
  7. Whaddya think about this handy dandy contraption I invented? Just some craft foam from WM. Works great!
  8. I want a sling on it, but I'll need one of these. Problem is I'm not sure if this is the right one, or if this type of front sling mount will install on the Prowler. JD, do you know?
  9. I have figured out that of I don't spend it on airguns, fishing stuff, or SOMETHING, then my wife will spend it on Scentsy, Tupperware, or LuLaroe. The airgun will definitely last longer than the 114.00 pair of cleats (for softball) I just bought yesterday.
  10. Hidden messages are everywhere.
  11. You're probably gonna get blamed for wrecking that Jon boat. "It was in fine shape before YOU got ahold of it". This is why it's hard to get permission to fish so many places.
  12. I've always heard that, but the best fishing always happened at the ones that hardly ever get fished.
  13. This one is considered a "Magnum" which is what I thought NP2 was, but I'm still a bit confused on Crosman's terminology. As far as cocking effort and recoil goes it feels like the same ram/piston as my Gamo Swarm, and it seems like it hits just as hard. I haven't chrony'ed it yet.
  14. I think this one takes the same kit? Same piston, gas ram, and barrel as yours. So I assume it's the same trigger assembly. I can actually live with this one, I think. Nothing rough or jerky about it, just a bit creepy. I can actually get it right to the let off, steady up, then pop the shot with another light touch. Looking forward to shooting some tomorrow in less WIND.
  15. A "low speed collision" shouldn't send anyone to the hospital. I reckon since the boats will run mid-70's then anything below 50 is considered "low speed". Probably another case of eyes on the electronics instead of where they're supposed to be.
  16. Is that not enough?
  17. I woke to calm cool partly cloudy skies. My first cup of coffee I enjoyed a nice pretty sunrise. My 2nd cup was sipped under dense clouds and a high wind that you could hear but couldn't feel or see. The sun came back out for breakfast, that was nice. Then more clouds, and wow was that a snowflake? It's flurrying. Nope the sun is back out. Dang, getting kinda windy. Snowing again. Snow quit. Just cloudy and windy now. Now the sun is shining again, wind has laid down. Doesn't feel too bad. Sun still shining but now it's snowing. Really SNOWING. Like blizzard business. Sun's shining again. More clouds. Looks dark to the West. Major freaking blizzard, can't even see my mailbox. Sun came out again just in time to watch it set. More wind and heavy snow. Oh look, the moon and stars! I mean Good Grief!
  18. Advise against it? Hell they are still doing it. Creating them to boot !
  19. If someone has never experienced a good scope then they might be able to tolerate it. The Simmons I put on mine, for a cheapie is nice and clear and has surprisingly good turrets. The rifle is solid, feels good. I'm still kinda blown away that they are dumping them that cheap. Might go grab another one just cause.
  20. Found one tucked back under the shelf at our Wal-Mart, had my wife do the price check thing and I'll be darned if it didn't come up 67.99 Needless to say I snatched it up, and grabbed a Simmons 4x32 to put on it for 30.00 while I was there. Gave it a good bore scrub and took it to the back yard. Even in these gale force winds the thing only took 5 shots to sight-in and 3/4" groups at 25 yards is no problem. The gun feels solid, and aside from needing some trigger work I'd say this is the buy of the year. Pretty darn nice! Hits like a hammer.
  21. There wasn't anything "clear" about it when I was there. It was settling some but there was only visability of about a foot, if that.
  22. It was 53° the day before. The cool night and cloudyness took a bit of the edge off, but the fish didn't bail out because of it.
  23. So they wanna compete.....they just don't wanna compete against anyone that's actually good. LMAO! There's a name for people like that ...🐈
  24. Well in a nutshell, the thinking is that they'll draw more boats if the "hot sticks" are kept away. The more boats that participate, the greater the "benefit" amount.
