  1. Heard about a nice walleye (6-8#) caught on the 6th or 7th by a guy fishing 3" grubs for Whites/hybrids. That's all I've got.
  2. Why America isn't the greatest country in the wor: http://youtu.be/ZPHSXUS0_1c
  3. As much as I love boats I honestly dispise long boat rides. Having to launch at one end of a lake to fish the other is a big reason why I stopped fishing competitively. 10-15 miles is about all the distance I care to go from my launching area, but on some lakes you have to put some serious miles behind you if you truly want bigger fish/more bites.
  4. Living in a house with 4 people, someone is always gonna be somewhat disappointed with what is being cooked for dinner. So how the hell can a whole country operate together?
  5. Probably 90% of them end up not even going, or going somewhere totally different.
  6. http://m.bizjournals.com/stlouis/morning_call/2015/03/british-billionaire-branson-to-explore.html?r=full
  7. NRO ? Now that's too far to walk.
  8. I'm not sure what the amperage draw of the newest sonar units is, but keeping your cranking battery at its peak condition is a really big deal when running ECU controlled outboards. If you are running 2 sonars, a livewell pump, ect. at all times then you truly need every bit of that outboards charging system devoted to the cranking battery. Especially since you (hopefully)are spending more time fishing than you are running down the lake @ 3500+ RPM's.
  9. The "big motor" charges the cranking battery anyway. Using the outboard VR to charge your trolling motor batteries ain't gonna fly. It would overheat the stator and VR, and void any engine warranty I'm pretty sure. 40amp Outboard charging systems are TOUCHY and EXPENSIVE to repair.
  10. So is Sand Spring....ya lazy bum! That's the thing with "park fishermen"... LOL
  11. Gray over Lt.blue sounds sexy, I'll have to try a couple of those.
  12. Hmmm. As of late January Redbeards was still doing their thing. Can't speak for today though.
  13. What component does Stealth solder into theirs that makes it so much better ?
  14. I buy plain lead dumbbells and paint them either White, Chart, or silver, with black pupils. I've caught plenty of whites on fly's with the paint knocked off the eyes though, so that prolly only matters to the guy casting them. I totally dislike red eyes on a fly for some weird reason. But it must work because almost all the commercially tied fly's are sold with them.
  15. #6 and 1/60oz. is my Spring size (2.5"). #4 and 1/40oz. in the Fall (3.25"). I have tried to warm up to synthetics so they can be trimmed, but natural bucktail is best....the fish tell me.
  16. I can always tell if my customers frequent this board, by what's rigged on their rods and/or laying in the floor of their boats. I have yet to work on a boat with an official OAF sticker though.
  17. There's a thought that never occurred to me.
  18. Ruby ? Hey, it's only fair. Orion chews everything that doesn't belong to ME. He is such a good boy Everyone else is sick of him.
  19. Yep. So who wants to be the first to help that ?
  20. Not telling anyone what to do... but you're better off having a cleat inside the gunnels to lash the anchor line to, rather than having a locking mechanism such as that ON RIVERS.
  21. If you know the extent of the damage I can tell you if it would be better to repair/rebuild your lower vs. replacing it with a used one. Need serial# as well.
  22. What could our purpose/reason be ?
  23. Onboard chargers are Onboard chargers. Not a nickels worth of difference between brand names IMO They all last about 1/2 as long as they should, considering the cost of them.
  24. Depends on what (fly) you are throwing, and where. Tippets from 6lb. to 2lb. (4x-7x) are the norm. 7x is sketchy on a 6wt. setup.
