  1. I call Bull$#!T, SB I hereby challenge you to try. If I ever quit fishing you might as well dig a hole, or alert the buzzards....cuz it wont be long 'til one or the other is needed.
  2. The dude speaks what he thinks. He's not a phoney PC repeater of obvious logic. I can appreciate that whether I share his thoughts or not. This whole... "I can't post in this thread because I can't reveal what I feel" line that can't be crossed is BS. Y'all should quit PRETENDING to be offended just because you think you're supposed to be.
  3. Lemme check the application of that Mac's RR..... I think I want it, unless it's gonna hamper the sale of the little 4hp that is. Edit: Ok if it's the model A Mac's RR I need that puppy ASAP (if you want to pull it off that is....I understand if you don't )
  4. LMAO! You think fishing is bad, just wait until the PGA refuses to take immediate action on a questionable birdy.
  5. Try bending the wire upwards in front of the head about 30°, if that doesn't do it go to a smaller body or a heavier head.
  6. LMAO! That was great. What a good boy!
  7. I should be good to go then, cuz my couch is nothing more than a place to pile clothes when they come out of the dryer.
  8. Here's the seat mod I did on my Guide, I strap a sit-backer to it and it's pretty comfy. Made from an old paddle shaft and some ash strips, no thwart moving required.
  9. I get that, but if MDC doesn't pick up the ball first then the state has no case. The prosecutor likely doesn't know a bass from a hole in the wall so he/she will botch the case, the defendant will get off....and the only one who wins is the lawyer. In my county a case taken in that fashion will only cost the defendant about as much as a defective equipment citation in the end.
  10. So you think the prosecutor and the prosecutors judge will allow him to defend himself without paid counsel? Not in Missouri, they can't negotiate a plea deal without a middleman.....and from what I see that would be the prosecutors only hope.
  11. HBD! It's been a period of constant change hasn't it? 10 years ago only yuppies had cell phones. 20 years ago nobody I knew owned a computer. 30 years ago I bought my first micro-wave, but cordless phones hadn't made the scene yet. 40 years ago we still had a 19" B&W television, a dial phone as heavy as a 4cyl.engine block, and the only 4wd vehicle in my area was a Dodge Powerwagon that didn't run. Now I can't go anywhere in 2wd, hate television, my phone is a computer, and I only use the "stove" about twice a week. Whaddaya suppose life will be like in another 50 ?
  12. If stability at drifting speed is important look at the OT Guide series. I have had a 147 for years and while it's a bit heavy (compared to the Royalex models) and not a great tandem for 2 big boys it is a solid craft and paddles well solo. I can't even count how many miles mine has floated, and been dragged across rocks. In my mind OT only makes 3 styles of canoes, Guide, Disco, and Penob. the others are pretty much in-betweens that are not any improvement over their closest of the big 3
  13. What and help feed a lawyer? The defendants defense is solid, is it not? (Heresy, a misunderstood prank, ect...ect.)
  14. darn, ya mean to say that I broke a buncha bolts for nuthin'?
  15. I hate the fasteners used on Japs outboards, the alloy reacts with the aluminum block and seizes bolts and screws routinely. If you can change a head gasket or even a thermostat on a Nissan/Tohatsu, Yamaha, or Suzuki without breaking bolts you are darn lucky.
  16. Very cool! Awaiting Details and story. Let's hear it!
  17. Hell I haven't even made it to 50 yet and I can't trust my eyes anymore.
  18. So the PC term is now "inword" ...... got it. This truly is a country full of people with nothing else to worry about, isn't it? Wow
  19. There's all kinds of descriptive terms for people that are obviously "different" than the majority, or that stand out in a crowd. The dude (or gal) that you can't pass in the grocery store isle is.....a Lardass. The dude in front of the Lardass with high heels, spandex and lip gloss is....a Fag. The dude (or gal) covered in tatoo's and making a scene at the convenience store is....a Freakin' Crackhead. The people behind the counter at the license bureau and most are.... Dickheads and Cunts. A dude(or gal) from my neighborhood, when in the city is....a Hick. A child being obnoxious in public is....a Brat. And a black dude(or gal) when out in the country is....a Nigger. They are nothing more than slang terms used to describe someone that stands out in any given place due to their appearance, actions, or personality. You never hear the word "Polock" anymore. That was a big one when I was a kid. Who's gonna throw a BF next? Blondes?
  20. ^^^^^ What he said^^^^^
  21. By "detonate" I am talking about piston damage caused by pre-ignition (igniting the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber when the piston is still moving upward). It can be pre-ignited via improper or unstable ignition timing, or by a hotspot or glowing hot carbon particle in the combustion chamber. Over-oiling and poor quality fuel increase the odds of hotspot.
  22. Force powerhead design is categorized as big bore/short stroke, providing easy starts and smooth idling....But...low on torque and more prone to detonate. They are very sensitive to precise ignition timing throughout the throttle range and it is important to use the "closest to perfect" prop for the load it is pushing. They "appear" easy to work on but the difficulty lies in the details that most average mechanics and DIY'ers overlook. IMO Merc screwed the pooch when they adapted their own ignition system to them. They should have stayed with the old chrysler ignition system. The TRUE POS was the 5 cylinder/3carb 150, if ever there was an engine designed to fail....that was it!
  23. Somewhat true, but if you're running in shallows or thru stumpfields that 15 is just enough extra torque to break that (same) driveshaft, whereas the 9.5-9.9 will just bounce off and keep going.
