    Creek Chub "Jigger": They were first produced in 1933, made in 2 sizes and 8 colors. Yours seems to be missing a line tie at the nose, or it is a very early production....or a copy (there was never a patent). Later original CC models had two line tie eyelets (one at the nose and another on the chin just forward of the lip) and the chin/belly area was more flattened than yours appears to be.

    It was a short ride I assure you. 25° is pretty much my limit for bike riding, boating, standing waist deep in a trout stream, and just about anything outdoors short of splitting wood.

    Holy smokes! We'd be out of power and the whole 9 yards if we got hit with that here. Nothing but a dusting here in the LO area. Was still able to get out for a bike ride.

    Doubt that'd do it. They'd just retreat downstream a ways and come right back in the Spring. Maybe once they (or we) get the water cleaned up the filter feeder population will diminish somewhat.

    See there! Bells are ringing all over the place. Hell yes they run up Meramec! Spring! Roubideax too! (It's better than Bennett, and closer to Smalliebigs, which indicates that HE didn't know....or "think about it") and there's no Orvis sisters hangin' out there! It's no secret so let's just put it out there and get it over with. Yeah? Got pics? Let's see that big brown!

    Well I'm glad they did. The guard rails and the supporting structure for the railing was looking REALLY sketchy, and the inspection from underneath turned up some serious unrepairable wear/tear. Hanging out with the American bridge crew some was an eye-opener for me. There's alot to know when it comes to bridges....more than I ever imagined. They truly are genuine marvels of engineering that you don't think much about as you drive across them glancing right/left at the fishing holes below.

    Well that's cool. I love learning stuff that actually pays off. I gotta salute this thread, it has made me SOUND like I know what I'm talking about when discussing these units when asked to install them. So far I've just been following the instructions in the box.....No complaints yet, thankfully. Transducer placement and alignment on these newer units seems to have a wide margin for error (which is a good thing in some applications) unlike the older dinosaurs I grew up with.

    2 limits of 10-11 inchers came from the area near Coconuts yesterday. I bet they'll get another limit today if they go. Wish I could get out before the cold air arrives

    I'm curious as to what keeps Ameren UE out of federal court for the goings on at Party cove. Although many locals complain to no end I guess the community really does NOT want the party cove goers to keep their toys, drugs, and money back in the city. Had the Zoe crowd spent a little more money in the local community would it have resulted in some immunity ?

    Nothing kicks you in the nuts and kills your confidence worse than knowing beyond a shadow of doubt that the fish are exactly where you are fishing, and yet for all you're worth you can't catch them. I kinda like having that safety net of...."well, maybe they changed locations". So since I'm gonna fish a given area whether my electronics show fish or not, I do NO scanning.

    I've never used hen hackle for a woolly. Cheap indian necks or low/mid-grade saddles are what you want.

    Those were too big for me and I didn't like the extended arm-warmer cuff thing. I take it that you hated them too. Chief just says that to keep everyone from stealing his sandwich.
