  1. Do I know that Lil'Yammie?
  2. OMG, Have you lost your mind?!!!!! Never ask Chuckles about crap like that unless you've recently been fed and have nothing in mind to do for the rest of the day.
  3. The hillbilly capri's took Chief right over the edge. LMAO!
  4. Pretty. Fish?
  5. Don't leave the Smokies without your Yallerhammers and Tellico's. The flys that scream Ozarks to me are the Crackleback, Mohair leech, and anything Whitlock.
  6. No zoo for me, thanks. I'm petrified of monkeys.
  7. Uhm yeah, how far is that from the corner of Hwy.5 and Twin bays rd. ? LOL Considering the milage I get in the wrenchwagon it'd prolly be cheaper to mail myself there.
  8. I wonder how much longer before someone seeing one isn't front page news anymore. I saw my first one in 92-93 and have seen one other big tan cat and a big black long tailed panther type sucker prior to 99, and now everyone and their dog has seen at least one. They are here, and I think just about everyone is done being excited or freaked out about it. What I wanna see is a gator or an elephant. Maybe a python....now that'd be cool !
  9. Nice job! The vid was cool
  10. Seasonal shift front moving in. Somehow they know before the meteorologist do, and for some reason it shuts them down before anything actually effects them....or so it seems.
  11. Have you ever noticed that gar are everywhere....Until you head out specifically to catch some?
  12. Ever do any chip skippin'?
  13. Looks like a teeny tiny blue cobra taking a poop ?
  14. So.... Flyrodable? Sweet!
  15. Now that's inspiring! Any clue how deep the bites were?
  16. In lieu of trailer hooks I use Zoom split tail trailers on all my spinner/buzzbaits and misses are never an issue. The legendary Tom Mann, along with Ricky Green, did a lengthy experiment years ago (back when spinnerbaits and buzzbaits all had really crappy hooks) and determined that a soft plastic trailer that covered the hook totally cancels out any need for a trailer hook. Seems to work great for me, and has for many years. Newer buzzbait/spinnetbait skirts are built with "trailing strands"....which I cut off before I even get'em wet and glue on the old reliable "white fork". I guess it causes them to eat the hook instead of just head banging the mass of the commotion. I'll add that the straight fork trailers are way better (IMO) than any "action trailer" like curled tail grubs and such.
  17. There's a somewhat similar case beginning here close to home, where a female attorney from KC has recently been arrested in connection with her wealthy father and his g/f's murder here at a lakehouse 2 years ago. If she is guilty of it you know darn well that she covered her tracks quite well, and it'll be a case where heresay may be their only evidence. I'm not even sure what grounds they arrested her on.
  18. To hell with the grenade, it's even harder to find those red striped socks. That was some quality s#!t wasn't it? That red dye hadn't faded one iota, and the elastic even still looked good.
  19. Yeah, I've heard how compliant they try to be.... Always wanting to please.
  20. Can't imagine what would keep them from it. Planning a trip to Pomme?
  21. Wonder what he caught it on, crankbait, jigging spoon ? What are the odds that he only disposed of One? Are they gonna examine the sock for DNA (doubt it was a new one) and scour the lake floor for more ?
  22. Kieth, what are your strengths? The bass don't know which body of water they are in, so do what you do best. The water is cooling down and by next week there will be strong patterns both deep and shallow. Shad are everywhere so the fish don't have to expend much energy to feed so regardless of where you're fishing you'll probably do best by trying to elicit reaction strikes vs. trying to coax fish with slow retrieves or repeated casts to the same spot. Fish can and will be positioned around shallow docks and wood, suspended under the deeper docks, and ambushing shad from brushpiles at any depth from 4-20ft. FWIW, My personal confidence baits for big fish this time of year are a 3/8 jig and craw for pitching shallow stuff, a 5" swim bait for fish that are suspended right under the docks, a DD-22 on 12# line for bumping deeper brushpiles, and a full size Super spook. Hope you get the bites you need (You Will) and good luck at the following Championship
  23. Have you tried shaving your head and pretending to be a rich gay dude ? Just theorizing that what would keep older married guys OUT OF your boat might possibly fill it with bikini clad hotties.... It's worth a try.
  24. In the video it looked to me like everyone was inside the boat. I didn't notice anyone riding that out on the swim deck, but yeah, if he was he's a flipping idiot. Pretty cool that there is water here that's rough enough to crash an off-shore boat if you make a mistake at the helm, yet with some common sense you can navigate it in a 16' jon boat.
