My sister's, daughters, their friends, and numerous other friends have worked as waiters/waitresses all over the country. It's a very common thing. There's more to being a good server than the ability to carry a plate. Are you gonna be like Terrierman and pretend to live seamlessly among multi-cultured angels in a perfect world? There was a gentleman from Quatar (race boat owner/driver) in the area for awhile and everyone made a big deal about how incredibly RUDE he was, and how degrading he was to all the women he came into contact with......Well that was just his culture ! People, regardless of race, that have been born, raised & educated here in the U.S. do NOT get to use that excuse. They KNOW that waitresses rely on tips for their income.....They just don't CARE. And THAT, among many other similar things, makes us different. We can all live together regardless, but this whole thing about having to pretend that we are all the same, is ludicrous. Males & Females aren't the same either......in case you haven't noticed. You do know that it's not acceptable to stroll into the women's bathroom with your hand on your zipper, right ? Or to just piss on the floor like they do in India.

I don't pretend to know the specific numbers, but I know that in the Niangua, Current, Meramec, and other rivers with significant springs flowing into them that the water below for quite a few miles is never that good for Smallmouth..... except for in the coldest part of winter when that's actually the WARMEST water they can find. In my personal experience it seems that smallmouth are undeniably more active in 85+° water than largemouth are. Especially during the middle of the day with a scorching sun overhead.....A smallie will still crush a fast moving topwater bait under those conditions. Whereas a LM will be laying in the deepest/darkest shady spot acting like it's half-dead. The water directly below large springs is prime habitat for Trout, Suckers, (and apparently Stripers) for most of the calendar year. And the smallmouth and goggleeye that flock to springs in the winter are NOT fish from way down below, they are fish from ABOVE the spring confluence that have moved DOWN.

As Al pointed out, a large section of the NFOW is too cold for Smallmouth, so the introduction of Trout was a solid decision that most should approve of. Now in all reality there was NO JUSTIFIABLE REASON to stock stripers in Norfork lake.....or any other freshwater fishery for that matter. When they did it here on LO they claimed it was to help control the numbers of large gizzard shad.....which was a crock of BS for a number of reasons. Every new generation of fisheries/wildlife biologists feel that they have to come up with something they can hang their hat on. And most of those hat racks turn out to be bad decisions. This is why I carry such animosity towards "biologists".....and it's not just the ones in the fisheries departments. They ALL do it. Hell, some here won't buy meat or vegetables from a commercial grocery store, and the reason they won't is because biologists jacked things up BADLY. Right? Don't even get me started on the biologists you all are trusting with your "health care".

That ain't no lie. I ran a chainsaw for about an hour last week and the tip of my left forefinger has been numb ever since. What the heck is THAT about? 🙄 Going on day 6 of that weirdness. I used to panic....but it's beginning to get easier to ignore the ridiculous crap my body does these days. Weird nerves firing for no reason at all. You ever had the sensation that a mysterious 6th toe had sprouted inside your shoe, and there was no comfortable place for it.....but when you kick your shoe off to count your toes it disappears and you don't feel it anymore? Stupidest thing ever. I complained about it to Sugarbritches and she looked at me like I needed to be put into a straightjacket. 😅 I used to yell at Orion for leaping up out of a dead sleep and immediately chewing his tail feverishly.......but I'm starting to understand.

I've been cover to cover more than once, just to be sure I wasn't misunderstanding something. Would discuss it in depth with ya......but I'm encouraged not to on this forum. I will say though.....If it were I writing the "story" the LOVE would be easier to detect.

When it comes to hunting and fishing.....where are they? Seem to be very rare for some unknown reason. Ask any waitress anywhere if there's something they've noticed about black customers, and I bet they'll immediately say....."Well.....they don't leave tips, but I'm not allowed to mention that or I'll get fired" I don't care what you call me, and I have no hate for anyone solely for reasons of race.....but I'm not gonna sit here and be fake, and pretend that we're all the same, because we just aren't. We never will be, and there's no reason to pretend to be. The whole apologetic slavery thing needs to be let go and put to rest. We all were brought up with the same king James Bible....which BTW certainly did NOT condemn slavery AT ALL. Promoted it to be truthful. Even had instructions on how you were to beat your slaves. Which happens to be one of the reasons why I'm proud to be a non-follower. The Bible says that as long as your slave doesn't die within a day or two after a good beating.....you did good. I like that guy. 🙂 Livewell timers and stereo's are notorious for that as well. Matter of fact, it is THAT which caused many boat riggers to install a "Master Power" switch. Auto bilge float switches are isolated from the Master Power switch though. So, it's high-five time to your guy for knowing that. ✋ A little moisture/condensation in that float switch....and you can have up to 4 amps continuous draw, even if the bilge motor never hums. And it will never trip a breaker.

Yeah I know🙄 I went through a phase of hotrodding outboards earlier in my life. Shaving heads, Tuning exhaust, stuffing crankcases, maxing out ignition timing, and swaging emulsion tubes. I had a 2.4L chrome bore Merc 175 on a 188Champion that my friends were afraid to even get in.....and I was afraid to truly peg it myself. I was the leading Wiseco dealer in the 3 state region for 4 years running.....and it wasn't because I was selling them to OTHER PEOPLE 😅 There's no free lunch in the high performance world. So when you guys start telling these tales about higher performance with less fuel/oil consumption & increased engine life.....you're giving me a headache from excessive eye rolling 🙄 I promise you that the only thing you can do to an outboard ECM that improves the powerband at the "seat of the pants" level.....is to DELETE portions of it's function. And that definitely does not improve fuel economy or increase engine reliability. If by chance you can prove me wrong I can actually help you and I both to a very comfortable early retirement. 👍. So by all means, let's GO ! 😃

There's one....and only ONE.... consistent factor that I have noticed about striper locations on Lake O., and that is "Spring influence". Nearly everywhere that a spring enters the lake (even if it is just a tiny trickle) you'll find White bass, hybrids, and the juvenile stripers. After noticing that no water temperature difference was registering on my boat mounted surface temp guage I dropped a probe down.....and sure enough, a band of significantly cooler water maybe a foot or less in thickness can be detected right along the bottom during the hot summer months, and in some cases that narrow band of cooler water runs out for about 100 yards. During the coldest periods of winter those same areas are EASY to find because the same areas, if they are relatively shallow, will usually be ice free (warmer water rises). Back in the 1980's when they actually stocked stripers in Lake O the guides would book trips during the full moon periods of December-January and take their clients to HaHaTonka spring to troll huge Jerkbaits that ran 3-5ft. deep over 10-30 FOW for stripers.....And they caught them like crazy! You wouldn't catch them anywhere else, or during any other time of the year, not consistently anyway. But they were active within a mile of that spring during the winter. Where I'm going with this is....as a student of striper habits, I'm beginning to see a location pattern of "Spring Influence" of which the upper NFOW is loaded with. So that's probably why those stripers are there throughout the Summer. Where else on lake Norfork has substantial spring runoff ? I don't know that lake at all.

What y'all are talking about is NOT ECU TUNING.....it is partial ECU deletion. Your control system is ignoring O2 data, MAP data & engine temp data. Perimeters of injector pulse and ignition timing are back to a preset analog. It is basically not being an ECU anymore. Might as well scrap the vapor separator and air plenum and just install carbs, because you gave up fuel efficiency and emission control......which is what you initially paid for when you bought that Hi-Tech water stirrer. And mark my word.....that sumbitch is gonna blow quicker than it would have if you'd left it alone. Promise ya that. And the warranty on your replacement powerhead......might as well not even consider it. I bet they didn't recommend a different spark plug for your new "ECM FLASH" did they ? If it was legit then they SHOULD HAVE.
