  1. It was the "Change Settings" button that scared me. As bad as I hate to admit it, this stupid MotoZ is my freaking LIFE ! When that sucker goes down, like the one before it that took a swim, my whole life goes into a tailspin. Calls don't get taken or made, bills don't get paid, parts don't get ordered, banks forget who I am, Mistresses think I've blown them off and retaliation begins..... it's BAD! 😲
  2. They weren't born knowing it, but somewhere along the line it was figured out before "classes" were ever formed. Now wasn't it? 😊 Education didn't begin in schools, people tend to overlook that little tidbit. The smarts came first.
  3. I almost hit that the last 3 years, but the question remains of ... WHERE DID IT ALL GO????!!! Oh yeah, 2 kids in college 🙄 On an education that will most likely not benefit either of them. What a racket !
  4. What's that mean ? I can't agree wholeheartedly because I don't know if I'm "deducated" or not.
  5. I almost totally agree ! All of the ones I've known aren't just dumb as rocks though, some are even more ignorant than that. At least a rock knows to sit still, be quiet, and not cause more trouble than their mere existence creates. Too bad you can't be more like a rock. Let's examine how much helpful and thought provoking intellect you've shared around here.... 🙄 "Deep hole, crankbait, shade".....yeah that's some seriously useful $#!t right there. GTFOH! 🤣
  6. Oh.....Woopsy 😕 Well that ruined it. 🙄
  7. No you're the perv for thinking (hoping?) that it's some snotty nosed brat. What do you see in that photo that takes you to Sesame Street ?
  8. The snowflake in the long blonde hair truly was cool. I mean at least that one sticks with you awhile, as it leaves you wondering how smoking hot the rest of her is.
  9. Right, I'm thinking that Chet definitely benefitted from the timing. Imagine being a truly experienced photographer, entering a competition, and being beat out because someone has a soft heart for a dude that lost his foot in a chainsaw accident. The road to success these days passes over the Pitiful creek bridge.
  10. Yeah, I can just set and look at it for about.... 3 seconds 🙄 Happy for the guy, that he won....but really, that's the best entry they received?
  11. Yeah what is it with people going 15-20 years into debt just to get a "career" that doesn't pay any better than an assistant manager position at a Quik Trip ? So many of my daughters childhood friends studied HARD to get into Nursing......WHY? That has to be right up there among the worst job choice's ever. I've known lots of nurses, and have had several nurse girlfriend/lovers.....they are all miserable! I honestly believe that 90% of them are only doing it because they think being a nurse affords the best opportunity to marry a Doctor, but that NEVER works out. 😂
  12. I'm glad you brought that up because I've had a question for a long time concerning that tying style. I experimented with some Intruder style streamers and spey style wetflys, my thinking was that it would nail those short strikers. But my experience with them was that anytime you tie a hook off of a shank with wire, mono, braid, (just a hook with nothing tied on it to push any water) that it totally kills the action of the fly just like you hooked a piece of moss on it. So what is the intended purpose of flys tied like that? Why did they start tying spey flys like that to begin with? It's ignorant, I hate it! The fly acts way more enticing without it.
  13. It's been 15 years since I've been to RS but we were able to wade across at that time. Those fish acted like they'd never seen a leech before, we hammered 'em.
  14. Really, which was practically every night during the Nixon impeachment. He really wasn't a crook, ya know !!!! Bedtime was right after the Johnny Carson monologue.
  15. Is it the water, or what? Surely just crossing the state line doesn't turn your brain into spaghetti.
  16. That's nuthin',. When I was growing up we actually had to get up and walk all the way to the TV to change the channel. And there were only 3 of them.
  17. The oldest kid and I are breaking my youngest into fly-fishing this coming year, she's already tying flys...has a beetle pattern mastered and has come up with one of her own that she calls "the electric bat". The goal is to have her handling line well enough to join us for Bluegill in March and spring run Whites in April. If that goes well I'll start taking her trout fishing with me. She's getting a 5wt. rod/reel/line and waders for Christmas. That's my only real "goal" for 2020, everything else I'll just take as it comes. Behold, the Electric Bat! 😲 And the beetle
  18. Turkey hunting is fun, but it would just get fed to the dog around here unless I was truly hungry and in need of food. Actually I might just eat the dog first.
  19. Cleaning/dressing a thunder-chicken with one hand sounds like a PIA. Butterballs are on sale now ! 👍
  20. That would be awesome !
  21. Ameren is predicting LO level of 654 by mid-February with a total drawdown of 652. I'm predicting 655 for an all winter low, probably occuring closer to mid-late March. Truman still has to lose 3ft. of water. That's ALOT of friggin water ! One big storm system between now and mid-February and they are gonna have a rather tense situation to deal with.
  22. Maybe, providing the wind isn't howling or the pleasure boats aren't pounding you with 3' rollers. As I said, mainlake points are undependable. Given any day, you have a 30% or less chance that you will be able to fish them effectively, and a 20% chance that the fish will cooperate when you can effectively fish them. Inside of a cove, or far up a tributary arm you can always find shelter from the brunt of the wind, and boat traffic is minimal. Plenty of fish are always there.....and you can actually FISH. I've won tournaments that way too. 😊
