  1. Super glue the thread to the hook before tying in the yarn. Likely the thread and all are spinning on the hook shaft.
  2. No better, nor no worse. Change it when it gets dark and discolored or when its viscosity changes.
  3. I'll have to start studying the sticks in my yard from now on. I assumed that they just broke off in the wind, but maybe not. Interesting.
  4. Woah, that's an alien that I've never been introduced to before, and you just threw that out there like they are as common as a junebug. Knock it off!
  5. If y'all really think those fish in Crane cr. have been self sustaining since the 1800's you're higher than the grocery bill. ☺️
  6. What's a tree girdler ? 🤔
  7. Harder than just ignoring the post, apparently.
  8. Large enough for what?
  9. It's odd that Suburbans have lock actuator failure, because I've had 5 other Chevy trucks with the same exact actuator and have never had one fail. I guess it's because Suburban's have 5 of them, and other trucks just have 2 (law of averages). Love the way it rides, and I always feel like unless I have a fight with a giant Peterbuilt or a freight train....I will win. And the Delco/Bose sound system, for a stock unit is pretty amazing. Fuel mileage isn't as bad as you'd think, about 16 city/18 hwy. whether loaded/towing or not. Same as my other 2 Chevy 1/2 tons. If I didn't need another open bed pickup I would happily keep it, and I very well may if someone doesn't buy it. I know darn well that if I was looking for something in the 4k price range I'd never find anything better. Since I don't pile the miles on like others do my limit on vehicle purchases is always under 10k.
  10. Hell you can't even do it with beetles.
  11. You are in a "freshwater management class" and the only thing you are concerned about is Carp ? The best fishery management protocol for Connecticut waterways (or anywhere else in the United States of America) is to destroy carp. That's the answer which will lead you to a diploma the quickest.
  12. I'm gonna take this opportunity to point out (for the umpteenth time) that tournament weigh-in's likely have the same effect on our bass. Also not a good practice. 🤔 #MLFformat
  13. Very cool ! That's a pretty Smallie.
  14. No but it comes with a 1/2 tank of gas, which amounts to about the same value. She has a HUGE fuel tank.
  15. Ok fine. 3750.00 And it was only a 4.00 fart. 🧚
  16. Here's a pic of the other 2 sides
  17. You missed it? 4k to you! 😁
  18. Takes you fishing, serves as a campsite/motel, hauls boats of any size, and is 100% mechanically sound (well, wait....it has a bad door lock actuator, and those are wired in a series so you have to lock/unlock the two back pasenger doors manually unless you wanna figure out which actuator is fried and replace it). What more do you need? 1999 Suburban, 5.7L 4X4 I bought it from a respected fly-fishing guide so it comes with plenty of positive mojo.
  19. Is that a challenge ? 😎
  20. Well since you are not appreciating it much these days..... Wanna sell it ?
  21. Back in my internet dating days I was spending time with a nice (but rather odd) gal that was totally coo-coo about butterflies. Her house was filled with butterfly stuff, her screen saver was a butterfly, and she even had a beautiful butterfly tattoo on her shoulder. So we go out for a boat ride on a gorgeous fall day, and as we idled along a bluff bank we came across a tree that was loaded with Monarchs that all took flight as we passed under it. She took it as "a sign" and cranked up the Love volume to a whole new, and unexpected, level. It was great for a week or so but after I had a chance to think things through it began to get kinda scary. I finally had to send her a pic of a praying mantis eating a butterfly....just to slow things down a bit. A week later she took a job in Texas and we parted friends. Now everytime a butterfly hangs around me I tell it "Hey there, the one you're looking for is in Lubbock". Isn't that a cute story? 😊
  22. Migrate may or may not be the proper word. I guess you could say that I migrate to the grocery store when I'm out of food, migrate to the bathroom when I need to poop, and migrate to the bank when given a check. When snakes and turtles migrate do they all move in the same direction, like birds and fish ? I'll have to pay attention the next time the turtles are on the move and see if they are all crossing the road in the same direction.
  23. The greatest thing would be to own 3-4 homes and be able to switch between them at will. Whoever said "money can't buy happiness" was wrong.
