  1. A cold rain would have effected the thermocline. The warm inflow shouldn't have effected it at all.
  2. It is the same way here, the radio stations and lake area newspapers are clueless to the lake itself. They don't even know what mile marker things are or which arm of the lake they are on. They do seem to know which bridge they are closest to though, so you have to decipher from there.
  3. We're all still friends, right ? What's the problem?
  4. I won't lie, I was a toker but the guy I was with wasn't....so we were both quite straight. We were a tad dehydrated maybe, no room for a cooler in the little pond hopper boat.
  5. I think I'm back on track now, just needed a little presentation adjustment. Had 4 that weighed over 13lbs in a little over 3 hours this evening. I'm dragging a 3/4 jig along until I come to a piece of cover and RIP THE JIG through the cover agressively, then let it fall back. Bites are coming immediately after the rip. When you get one throw back in there again because there's usually at least one more good fish with him.
  6. It is (or was....may still be), had redear too.
  7. I've done quite a bit of handgun shooting in the past and that was with nice 6-8" barreled pistols and revolvers. I never really got to where I felt I was very good at offhand shooting with them. Oh sure I could hit a person at rock throwing range....but I can do THAT with a slingshot. Honestly, with some 3-4" barreled POS like you C&C guys carry I'd be better off throwing rocks.
  8. Whatever. They shouldn't be throwing their space debris at me !
  9. Yeah well, if anyone with imaging equipment wants to look for it, its right about here...
  10. A friend and I was fishing a 15 acre MDC lake in Montgomery co. from a little 8' plastic Bass Tracker. We hadn't done much good and were back at the truck contemplating whether to call it a day or just chill until later in the evening and try again, when all of a sudden something the size of a small car fell out of the sky and landed in the lake making an enormous splash. The water was turned to a froth where it splashed down and 2' wakes lapped the bank for what seemed like forever as we stood there repeatedly asking each other what the hell just happened? We decided that neither of us was comfortable going back out on the lake so we loaded up and left. On the way through Martinsburg we stopped at a gas station and used the pay phone to call MDC but couldn't come up with the number so I called the county sheriff's office and told them what had happened but they seemed very unimpressed/uninterested. Meteor? Space debris? I have no other ideas, but if they ever drain Marshall Diggs lake there is something pretty big laying on the bottom of it.
  11. Hey, don't drag God into this, Phil will get cranky. If God had intended y'all to pack heat he would have given you a kangaroo pouch.
  12. Psyop. Vote for WHO ?
  13. OK well maybe I panicked too soon, I did alot better this evening. I believe the bass are bunching up. Once you find a good one there are more good ones close by. Just keep moving along until you catch one....then bear down in that general area for awhile. I'll find out tomorrow if they are staying put in the same areas or if they are just roaming around in schools.
  14. I'll be glad when they come up with a buzz word to replace "tactical".
  15. Yeah I'm using bronze hooks. I can pre-rig them but once they get wet....or even damp from dew...they start rusting like a mofo.
  16. I can't imagine that Truman is fishing any better than Lake O right now. Prolly best to target hybrids or cats and forget the LM.
  17. I wish I could be prepared for engine work by simply putting a screwdriver in my pocket.
  18. So usually you are only prepared to shoot someone. You are NOT prepared to get shot at yourself, right? If I was as concerned about armed confrontation as you guys are I'd pack a gun....but FIRST I'd be decked out like a gladiator/swat team member. I mean if this is war, then lets not f#c& around ! Comfort is secondary.
  19. My extended family Douchebag comes into my house and goes to plop down in this chair... His daily carry flys (rips) out of its holster and hits the floor because his @ss is too wide. I'm not friggin happy about that crap. It ain't funny no more. I'm not worried about meth heads, I am worried about Douchebag like him !
  20. Have you taught them all to wear a vest ?
  21. Since when do opinions need to be educated ? You're a friggin' cop, WE bought it for you. If you had to buy it yourself I bet you wouldn't have it.
