  1. Sweet road truck! Three on the tree?
  2. It's basic trajectory really. What type of gear are you seeking more distance with? Typically heavier (yet compact) baits or smaller line will increase distance. But spool tension and/or how full your spool is has a mechanical effect on your casting abilities. All in all though, accuracy is more important in most instances.
  3. Regardless of what is covered I'd like to experience ACCURACY minus the reaction mining speak (keywords). I'd rather hear reports of current events via a computer generated voice incapable of emphasizing all of the attention getting little terms and phrases. Just once I'd like to hear someone tell me something without making it obvious how they FEEL about it.
  4. When I was 16 I worked full time in a bait shop/marina, and part time for a music store (moving pianos, polishing instruments and sweeping floors). Hated the music store but I loved the baitshop gig! If you have one fairly close just start hanging out there until someone finally hands you a minnow bucket or a flat of nightcrawlers. And forget what you learned in school....A dozen = 15
  5. This is true, and is completely logical thought.... as of TODAY. SOMEDAY though, we may not have a friendly happy go lucky leader who farts rainbows and pisses silly string. SOMEDAY we may by accident end up with a real SOB in charge, with a nasty agenda. Will we at that time want all of these forsaken rights and liberties in memory only, or should we try to hold onto them a while longer, as long as we can, just in case. Is everyone REALLY scared of terrorists that can't be detected any other way? The way I see it is; If your life is more effected by the FEAR of terrorists than it is by actual "terrorists attacks" then there's some F'd up Chicken Little mind control going on in your life. Seriously, we are gradually getting closer to the point where a guy spotting vehicles in remote locations and floating to them in a canoe might seem REALLY SUSPICIOUS!
  6. As long as they don't start screwing with innocent folks over rediculis assumptions, or allow personal financial access slip out to god knows who I could care less what they data-mine. There was one incident concerning a guy posting photos of a dam that got pretty stupid. The guy finally got fed up with being jacked with and started being a smartass (which obviously didn't help matters) but in all honesty I probably would have reacted the same way. I tried to find a link to the fiasco but forgot where I read about it.
  7. As many mistakes that are made (typos made, wrong numbers dialed, credit card fraud, inaccurate gossip spread, ect.) I am really surprised that most folks are ok with their every move being recorded. It's bound to cause incrimination of more innocent folks than it is true criminals. Hell, if the info hadn't already gotten into the wrong hands we wouldn't even know who Snowden was. Unless the NSA is going into the business of busting cheating spouses, retrieving lost passwords, and providing alibis for defense lawyers I can't imagine how this "operation" could possibly pay for itself.
  8. Whoever trusted a 20-something single dude with "highly classified and vital info" should be the one with a foot up their a$$. Seriously, that dude shouldn't have even been trusted to fetch lunch.
  9. I'm a Bower's man TYVM, and I don't vote
  10. "We are collecting profile records of everyone and we need it to be a secret". Why? Not why collect info, but WHY is it important for it to be a big secret ? Who didn't already assume that this was going on anyway? Treason by snowden? I don't see the harm in what he did.....just seems stupid and a waste of time. He should just waited until he retired....not that him disclosing it NOW is gonna change anything.
  11. For me the big key is to get it out ASAP using a little adrenaline to my advantage. If I wait too long I'll get queasy and might actually black out. The worst I ever had was directly under my thumbnail with a Johnson Silver minnow spoon (big gnarly hook with a big gnarly barb) and there was a pork strip attached for extra salt injection qualities. I just grabbed the spoon and ripped it out as quick as I could. It hit a nerve and there was no way in hell I could have waited even 10 seconds, much less the time it would have taken to walk back to my truck and drive somewhere.
  12. I saw the ER "procedure" for hook removal once.....Not ME, Not EVER! I'll do it myself, thank you very much.....and spend the money saved to buy more hooks (a lifetime supply at that). Did Penn &Teller ever do a BS episode on "doctors" ? If not they should have.
  13. Right......It works Better ! Which TM are you wanting to attach to? The "pucks" are/were plagued with skeg interference issues, which is prolly why they ditched them.
  14. Jumper cables on boats are a no-no with me. I have pull started 150-200hp outboards with a mooring or anchor rope. Nice fish btw!
  15. Glad to hear it. Try to blow it up sometime about late November though if ya can.....so we have something to talk about over a pot of chili.
  16. Can you not leave the house WITHOUT tearing something up? I think you're just trying to move permanently into your man cave.
  17. Finding active fish on a ML point (or other structure) during a generation cycle isn't a rare happening by any means..... but you sure can't depend on it.
  18. Attach a digital volt/ohm meter on the BLUE harness wire, you'll notice that there is "some" voltage present (probably from 0.7 to something less than 12v) Now go wiggle some switches and relays while keeping an eye on the meter..... When the voltage reading goes to zero (no voltage) you found the shorted switch (or relay). If it turns out to be a relay be sure to replace BOTH of them, and not just the UP circuit side. If none of this makes any sense to you.....Take it to a qualified O/B tech.
  19. I have an ex I'd feed one to.
  20. Well, I don't consider releasing them "throwing them away". I keep hearing how delicious they are "when prepared right", but whenever you hear that disclaimer attached to some form of "food" that usually means it is on par with possum and buzzard.
  21. This one ate a Sparkleminnow And this one took a clouser....well kinda I'd trade ya both of'em for that green bass.
  22. Finally I understand your screen name Nice lizard!
  23. The Osage river is ate up with them, but it's hard to say whether or not they've had a negative effect on the bass. They do have a habit of congregating heavily in the eddys spooking easily and dramatically, obviously spooking any gamefish nearby in the process, which makes fishing for bass in areas with asian carp pretty much a waste of time.
  24. LOL, Just assuming that you top out about 3 times what that 9.9 does
