Went out Tuesday evening with my son and grandkids for crappie caught 23 most over 10” caught them on Bobby Garland baby shad in blue thunder. Went out yesterday morning with the brother in law bass fishing had 2 around 2 1/2 lbs and 3 or 4 small keepers and a few sub legal fish all on plastics in the bushes. Water has a little stain but pretty good visibility and temperature was right around 75. Quite a bit of trash floating yesterday picture is out in front of Wheatland ramp. Also an algae bloom going on lots of green algae floating on the surface.

I will take the Revo MGX and probably the Lews I will check with my son on it today.

Haven’t been able to get out for awhile. But when I drove across the dam yesterday it looked fairly clear up there. We had almost an inch and a half of rain couple of days ago but didn’t really affect the lake level.

844.22 as of 5:30 this morning looks like it has pretty much peaked so that puts us right at 5’ about normal pool. We had around 3” give or take.

Looking for a Yamaha SHO T1 or T2 24 pitch prop and also looking for a Lowrance HDS 12 Carbon. I have a SHO T1 26 pitch I would trade for a 24.

Leaf blower definitely works good on a dry snow like this one.

Friend of mine has this motor for sale. It came on a pontoon that he bought he said it ran good. He took it to a dealership to have it tuned up and serviced and they told him that they thought #1 injector wasn’t working right. He really wanted a 4 stroke so he bought one and wants to sell this one. Each cylinder will jump a 1/2” spark gap and all cylinders have right at 95 psi compression. Lower unit has no water in it and shifts as it should. Comes with top mount controls, cables and oil tank. He’s asking $1000.00 obo. I have more pictures with cover off but could only put 2 on. Also has clear title.

The Minn Kota is Sold

Clearing some stuff out of my shop. Have a Minn Kota 12/24 Maxxum 42” 65 lb thrust and a Motorguide Magnum 12 volt 48” 52 lb thrust. Both work good just don’t need them anymore. Asking $300 each. Located at Pomme De Terre.

Last Saturday was the best day I had had for a while. Caught a lot of fish till about 10:00 am. Had 10 keepers biggest were around 2lbs and several shorts but most of mine came around 1/2 way back in coves. Most of the fish were caught on plastics. Most shad are still on the main lake a few are starting to move back shallower.

Why not just drain them through the drain plug it’s easier than pumping it out by hand.

From what I’ve heard crappie have been pretty slow. My son has been up the last 5 days so we’ve been bass fishing every morning. It hasn’t been that good for us, been catching a few mostly early on topwater. But not as good as it usually is this time of year. Probably find some out deep but we’ve mostly been fishing shallow. I guy I know has a 1981 Ranger 375V for sale with a 1986 Yamaha ProV 150 outboard. Motor was rebuilt 2 years ago and sat ever since. It just had carbs rebuilt, gas tank drained, water pump and thermostats replaced. It runs good boat and transom are solid but needs a good cleaning. He’s asking $5500. Let me know if you are interested. I have more pictures but exceeded the limit and couldn’t put them on

Was out this weekend water cold is actually really clear around the wheatland ramp area up to the dam. There are a lot of floaters and some big ones. We struggled on bass this weekend couldn’t really get on any and my buddies that were crappie fishing said they were tough this weekend also.

Just seen the first one here at Pomme De Terre this morning.

Never mind I just talked to him and he’s got a friend of a friend that is a retired mechanic and says he would rebuild it for something to do and I’m sure some money.

A friend of mine lost the top cylinder on a 1992 60hp Johnson. You can look in the plug hole and see the side of the piston has a hole burnt in it. He was wondering a rough estimate of what it would cost to have you rebuild it. He’s trying to decide if he wants to fix it or find another motor. Thanks.

Will post back when he gets the title. He has a title on the Yamaha since it was his personal motor.

Just talked to him he says he it from an auction company and they just sent him the paperwork to get a title. So he says he will get one as soon as he gets the paperwork.

A friend of mine wanted me to put these motors on here for him and see if there’s any interest. He has a 1984 Yamaha 175 that broke an oil line and took out 2 cylinders it was on his boat and everything worked right before that happened. The other is a 1994 Johnson Fast Strike 175 it was on an old Champion that he bought for the trailer he knows nothing about it other than the lower unit shifts and it has fire on all 6 cylinders and the head bolts were loose when he got it. Not sure what they are worth he was thinking $400 each.

I personally haven’t had time to get out but a friend of mine told me yesterday that he had been doing pretty good and that they were starting to move up shallower. Not a lot of help but until I get time to get out there it’s the best I’ve got. Good luck

I just got back home and went and looked all I have is the motor and the foot pedal. I either gave the mount to someone or got tired of it laying around and threw it out sorry.
