  1. This is not mine. I am posting this for a buddy of mine, the actual kit can be seen at RZ's Antiques and Flea Market on Business 65, downtown Branson. The kit has a ton of items, whole capes, thread, hooks, tools, etc,, etc even the original sales receipt from 1966!
  2. nice fish. too bad it was it guided by CW, they probably did a little shuffling to attract the fish. oh wait, did i say that out loud??
  3. Simms Headwaters Goretex XLS. Taken out of the box only to try them on, tags are still on the waders. I am in a jam and need the cash. Retail $349 I will sell them for $300 http://www.basspro.com/Simms-Headwaters-GORETEX-StockingFoot-Waders-for-Men/product/12100405411333/
  4. Spent a few days in the woods last week with my brother and his buddy, they flew in from Vegas for the hunt. Saw a ton of deer and turkey, but they were never able to get a shot off. This is my very first season ever using a bow and i am an addict. I missed my first shot at a doe opening morning. I am going to wait until the weather cools off, my legs are full of bites and those skeeters were thick in kissee mills!
  5. our tomato plants are doing the same thing. our cucumbers are growing to about 2-3 inches then they get a "ball" type growth to them. any ideas on what is up with that? still getting plenty of okra and cherry tomatos. big boy and roma have just kind of stopped producing. we FINALLY got some poblano peppers. the plant has grown to almost 6 ft and just in the last week or so the first peppers have shown up, there are a total of 6 on the vine last time i looked on thursday.
  6. Well we have stuck a giant middle finger to the groundhogs that tried to wipe out our garden. It has come back strong.the melons are growing a little each day, cuccumbers are starting to sprout again(i forgot to get a picture of them) still havent found the groundhog that i stuck the other day, but also havent seen ANY groundhogs for 3 or 4 days now
  7. shot one of the groundhogs the other night. stuck him right behind the shoulder with my bow from on top of my deck, about 55 feet away. 2 left.
  8. Freakin groundhog did major damage to our garden. Ate the melons, cucumbers, hopefully the cucs can be salavaged. Had the bow at the ready last night to take care of the groundhog, i shot just under his chest from about 60 ft, standing on my back deck about 10 ft off the ground. I will get that big rodent soon.
  9. Thanks. Instead of fishing, I had to go get mama some chow. I didnt want a hungry wife complaining that i went fishing instead of getting her some food. that area looks pretty nice though, not a long drive from hollister either
  10. My boy has a baseball game tonight at Galena. there will be some down time in between games and i want to wet a fly or two. does anyone know if i can access the James River near the high school withiout trespassing? thanks
  11. where did you get them?
  12. Looks good. Semper Fi brother
  13. Left the house in Hollister around 915pm for a night attack on Taneycomo. Got past the nursing home and realized I better stop and get gas, had to turn back around go to kum & go. went inside to get something cold to drink and a snack, where is my cash? i lost a $20 bill somewhere between the house and kum& go. 1 gen was running. when i got there no gens were running. Got rigged up and walked into the lake at outlet #1. had an olive hibernator ready to go. 2nd cast, BAM hard hit, brought this to crappie hand. I turned on my headlamp to remove the hook and the stupid thing fell apart in my hand. the on switch wouldnt stay on, so changing the fly was a pain in the rump. i had one more hit on a white wooly, and then said screw it. I fished a total of maybe 35 mins with 1 in hand. But on the upside, I know what I am getting for fathers day and I was the only one out there fishing. Not another car was in the upper lot, and there was 1 SUV in the outlet 2 lot when I left.
  14. why cant we just read the reports?
  15. works for me. i looked at it before seeing this thread
  16. Speaking of bears..we had a bear reported in the area of Mt Branson early in the morning saturday. no the caller was not drunk
  17. carp are nasty, but fun to catch. glad i had my camera handy, otherwise.....no picture no fish
  18. They did a hell of a job on them! I work there part time doing payroll/hr stuff. I walked upstairs to get a coke and saw them hanging there right at the front door. have they done any on line stuff with these? check out the http://www.therogueangler.com/ maybe they have a market for the earrings
  19. For a night of fishing, and dancing with the wife. or just troll her behind the boat Found these at RZ's Antiques on the strip (Carolina Mills) near White Water (they are earrings)
  20. I was speaking to a conservation agent(not from around here) and he said "i doubt that there will be any felt shoes patrols. the first year of the regulation, we will probably educate the fisherman about the violation" So I am really not going to worry too much about this regulation and continue to fish my NEW simms boots with felt until they wear down or until I get enough tickets to justify buying a new non felt pair. How does the non felt boots grip on the slimy rocks around? do they work as well as felt?
  21. I blame the agents. They are trying to get the player all hyped up and tell them they can get to be the highest paid player at X position. Does Albert really need 220 million on top of endorsements and incentives? does anyone really think that he and his family is going to spend 400 million in their lifetimes? probably not. For the last couple of years all you heard from pujols was "i want to retire a cardinal" BS. There are very few players anymore who play for "love of the the game" and in all honesty, i hope pujols does well in LA, however on the other hand, i hope he breaks his leg in spring training and throws out his shoulder the day after he comes off the DL. Then he can retire as an angel becuase the Cards fans wont want him to wear their uniform in the HOF. By the way, i am not a cards fan, in fact i hate the cards. i just love baseball and good ridance to pujols
  22. i guess that video would make perfect sense as long as you are on a 3 day meth binge
  23. no picture....no fish
  24. Hey Buzz, How is the fit on these? I saw them last week at the store in Springfield and thought they looked like they were decent waders, but didnt have time to try them on. The ones I have now have HUGE feet, sometimes make it pretty uncomfortable with the material bunching up.
  25. bass pro has waders called caddis waders for $159 I bought a pair eariler this year, the feet run BIG, so if you look at them, keep that in mind. but for the price they are ok http://www.basspro.com/Caddis-Northern-Guide-Breathable-StockingFoot-Waders-for-Men/product/10219691/140889
