  1. You can advertise this on the Show-Me Kayak Fishing Association FB page.
  2. Call eric @ Ozarks Extreme Outdoors, he'll do it for ya.
  3. It was a freaking grind today at the lake. Only top 4 managed to catch a 5 bass limit with a 3 way tie for big bass(longest fish). We had a great practice a month ago, but I guess the recent weather may have stirred that up a little bit.
  4. It's a few days away from our 3rd event of the year. Same prizes are available to the top 5 winning anglers, with 1st place winning $950 in prizes plus cash. Meeting/launch is at the CC bridge north of Greenfield, meeting @ 630am, tournament starts at 7am There's several ways you can check out our rules and register for our events, on Facebook ( https://www.facebook...51936645049167/),at Ozarks Extreme Outdoors kayak shop near Silver Dollar City or at showmekayakfishing.org under the Mo-Yak Fishing Series tab.
  5. i fished the Rockaway Beach area yesterday. I caught one 17" LM on a white swimjig up the bull creek arm. Then caught 4 keeper size LM and missed a few more on a booyah weedless frog right around the area near the fishing island/pier, walking the frog across the weed mats.
  6. I wouldn't be so sure with all the 40 and under size fish, we'll see in the future. At least now we'll have little ones to play with too.
  7. he even moved the Z-man stuff to the very front of an aisle so that it was the first thing you see when you walk in the door.lol
  8. Don't forget Ozarks Extreme Outdoors near Indian Point
  9. So I met a cat-fisherman down at PowerSite throwing some kind of cutbait (found out it was gizzard shad), as i was rigging the kayak he hooked up. So i paused to help cause it looked like a decent fish, that ended up being a 39lbs striper. So i get out on the water hit a couple of spots (no generation yesterday morning) will nothing. So i came back to the Empire side and he hooked up again. I beached the kayak and helped out again with a slightly bigger striper (43-45lbs, i weighed the smaller one in town). He gave me the "smaller" one to stock my freezer. He had only been there about an hour before dawn and i got there just before sun up and left with the fish before 8am.
  10. I caught 2 bass like that in one day up James River. Not sure
  11. I'm not even thinking about it... My money can definitely be spent better on something else...
  12. I did really good with either a trick worm or a magnum finesse worm (with a rattle pushed into the tail) with about 12-16 inches from hook to sinker. Watermelon with red flake worked for me. Spooks and redfins are still getting bit in the mornings, usually anything with a white belly
  13. Are you fishing Norfolk?
  14. Cool nice Castaic rock hard. It's odd that i haven't even caught a small one yet. I was there Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
  15. I think you maybe throwing slightly smaller lures than I am. That's a size 10 sandal in the photo.
  16. I actually prefished Stockton on the 11th, then the OBBT. And since the OBBT at Grand lake was rescheduled, I've spent 5 of the last 8 days/afternoons down at PowerSite dam in my kayak trying for another striper (no luck yet...)
  17. 8 inch Spro bbz1 floater? I may come down this weekend. The striper bite is failing to produce on Bull Shoals up at PowerSite dam. I'm itching for another big fish.
  18. If i keep up my top 5 Aoy points standing in the Mo-Yak Fishing Series, I'll be fishing Fork in November for the Tournament of Champions(TOC) kayak fishing tournament
  19. I saw one splash behind me at PowerSite yesterday. Looked to be upper 30lbs range. Fished the area for a while and no hits. A co-worker was fishing up from me last Wednesday and had a big one follow to the boat without a strike.
  20. Just married on May 9th.lol (after 6 years together) I love her because we work together and she still let's me go fishing.lol
  21. There's a few possible factors other than hooks to look at. Too slow (topwaters) or too fast (crankbaits) of action on the rods. A tight drag with braid could cause hooks to pull out. May need to make a few adjustments and I'm sure you'll land a few more of those key fish.
  22. I just started paddling when i took this picture. Had a few hits but didn't hook up.
  23. Receding flood waters, what's that?lol
  24. I know Bass pro shops in Springfield carries them. I don't recall seeing them in SFO, but not impossible.
  25. Yep new record. 65lbs 2oz caught on a "minnow". He also caught 2 more weighing about 30lbs each.
