  1. Nice fish Jeff! You boys had a good day.
  2. I think Table Rock is about to explode into a world class smallmouth fishery. I couldn't believe how many 3 + lb smallmouth I caught last spring. In the next few years we could be looking at tons of 4 + lb smallmouth here. There is so many of them in the lake. I think we have some fantastic smallmouth fishing ahead of us gents.

What a shame. Those looked to be some nice smallmouth as well. Reminds of a time when I was on the current River serveral years ago trout fishing below baptist and seen a guy with a stringer full of big smallmouth he caught up one of the creeks. Can't believe people take them out to eat since I hear they have worms sometimes and taste bad.
  4. I've always heard the opposite T. I use brighter colors on cloudy days and more natural on sunny days. It does depend on your preference though and I have switched this around vice versa as well. Mostly stick with the first thing mentioned though.
  5. Nice report. I fished down there as well and managed to catch 2 in the 4 lb range and had one that was close to 5. The weekend before the river was getting beat to death. Vehicles were stacked at tan vant and baptist. It was crazy.
  6. Just be glad it's not on your carpet bill like it is on my nitro carpet. Not a good deal at all. Super glue stays home from now on.
  7. Please no more steez talk my wallet can't handle that right now haha
  8. I caught some fish on the new colors from BPS but didn't get to use them that much. The conditions were not right at the time but they did work a little. The paint schemes are great but still the older warts out fished them ?
  9. I just wanted to thank the guys that have been posting all the recent reports. I haven't been able to get out because the boat is in storage for now. Sounds like there is a decent bite developing out there and if it stays fairly warm the late winter and early pre spawn bite could be on fire this year! Thanks again guys
  10. I don't want to get into a heated debate over this but I would recommend doing the reel trade in and getting the top johnny Morris reel. Not the black one but the chrome ones. I have 5 of them I have had for years and they still are some of my favorite reels. They throw a mile almost as far as my lews reels. This is just my opinion by the way.
  11. Quill is right. I remember I picked some up at I found a few old v37 color patterns at cricket creek a while back. They only had a couple but I can't remember if they had old v37 on them.
  12. Those winter guys know how to get it done. Some great fisherman fish those tournaments. I'd also suspect the arig on tree tops or a spoon
  13. No need to worry about flooding at all. Last time I was there it rained quite a bit and it didn't come up that much.
  14. It's a catch in almost everyone's book. According to how the rule is written it is not. I think it's bogus and he was robbed especially because he was reaching for the goal line and I bet if he crossed the goal line it would have been ruled a touchdown.
  15. Ordered 3 last night. I limited myself to only 3 and it was hard to pick only 3 colors since they all look good haha
  16. Nice fish! I live going there this time of year. Not many people and beautiful scenery.
  17. Thanks guys it was fun for sure. Abkeenan I caught them on the current and some at meramec springs.
  18. Decided to give the river a shot while I was on break from school. Took five trips and hammered some nice Browns 4-5 lbs. had one on over 7lbs and couldn't get him to fit in the net twice and he jumped off right in front of me. Man I was mad. Been killing me not to get out and bass fish but it was a nice change of pace and worked out perfect. Here is a few pics of me and my friend. Would of had more pics but it is hard to take them when you are out there by yourself.
  19. I just texas rig on a shaky head with a screw lock and it works great.
  20. I love that cove Good job
  21. I've had around a 4lb rainbow on a wiggle wart in the back of Beardsley about a month or so ago. Really surprised me it was that shallow and in that part of the lake. He jumped off right at the boat too of course.
  22. That's a bummer danger. Several of my friends up here in St. Louis that I go to school with have had their car broken into and their $1500 doctor bag and supples stolen. It's a shame.
  23. They are a better team for sure but Ray being out hurt us. Also no like it would have mattered anyway but the refs hurt us as well.
  24. That's a great day smbasser. I managed 2 good keeps on a jerkbait but never could get more than that. Both came out of a brush pile. I tried throwing it and everything else yesterday on main lake and secondary points with only 1 fish from those locations. It's been the worst fall fishing I have had in a while. Tomorrow morning is the last time I will be down for quite sometime. Hope we can manage some to turn the trip around a little bit.
  25. Funny you said that. We fished a jig yesterday as well. That's mostly what my dad was throwing and didn't even a bite on it. Didn't understand that either. When the water is this temperature I catch most of the fish on reaction baits like cranks spinners and the jerkbait. They are just scattered I think a bs not really biting for some reason.
