  1. We experienced the same thing Dave stated over the weekend. We caught some really nice LM on Friday on the Ned while it was not lightening. We only had about an hour window and they were munching. These were caught on ned by docks. Saturday we had a great day but tired of the rain and mist in face all day. A few of the SM we caught had spawned but most of them have not. We found that must of the SM did not come up with the water and were a bit deeper in the 10-15 ft range. Yesterday we had a terrific day. Tons of fish caught and some nice big SM and LM. Noticed a huge wave moving and and start making fresh beds. This including big LM. Water cleared to about 20 ft visibility in the dam area yesterday in places cruisers were everywhere. 5-6 inches of rain predicted by next weekend. Hoping that holds off
  2. Thank you Wrench
  3. Can someone tell me where the ramp is located at Hurricane deck. I don't see it on the map anywhere. Fishing up at way tomorrow and trying to find a ramp in that area of the lake
  4. Hey Wrench I tried to send you a PM but it says you can't receive any. Who would you recommend my friend to service his Yamaha VMAX outboard up by LOZ? He just bought a used boat and wants the motor serviced and looked at before we go to the lake on Sunday. We are looking for someone close by the dam because that is where we want to put in. Do you service them also?
  5. My brother and I fished the event and had a great time. We caught lots of fish but could never get a bigger bite to be in the money. Both days we had about 15 lbs but nothing over 3.20. They were all right around or just slightly above the 3 lb mark. On Sunday we spotted several beds and some of them had females on the nest as well. Tried pitching to them a few times but did not have the time to try and get them to bite since it was close to end of the day. All of our fish came on swimbaits and jigs. Bite seemed to shut off after 10-11 both days for us
  6. Great fish. I like that water color
  7. (Dtrs) Dave looks kind of like Dave Lefebre don't you guys think haha
  8. Nice report. What part of the lake were you fishing?
  9. I like fishing the A-rig but only when they are really biting on it good. If you are fishing a tourney right now you better be throwing it unless you are some special pattern because it is a big fish bait. The arig was pretty magical when it first came out. I remember throwing it before a lot of people had one and man it flat out caught big fish all the time in the spring. I think the fish have become more conditioned to it now and it's more difficult to catch fish on. It's just hard to sling something like that all day and only get a handful or more bites on it in tournaments but that is how a lot are won this time of year. I hate when they get hung up too because you spook the fish where they are holding when you go to get it out. Weedless hooks help some but you also suffer hooking up with some fish as well.
  10. Trophy and the other guys with back pain, go to a good chiropractor. Don't go to one that uses the little clicky activator but one who actually manually adjusts you. If your disc space is narrowing at L5 look for a Chiropractor who has a Flexion Distraction table. This opens up the disc space and the holes the nerve roots exits out and can give you lots of relief. I am a Chiropractor and we see this type of back pain and sciatica all the time and can really help you guys out. Shoot me a PM and I can probably recommend a good Chiropractor in your area
  11. Sharpnel that's the BB1 not the BB1 pro. The BB1 does not have the settings on the outside externally.
  12. Trophy you don't adjust them internally. That is done on the outside with numbers 1-10. It takes a little time to get it it dialed in with the ranking on the left and right. I believe I throw mine on around 5.5-7 depending on the wind and adjust the one on the right as well when I throw warts
  13. I also agree with basfis. The owner #5 stingers are the way to go
  14. I use the rapala ones and they work okay but I'm sure there are better ones.
  15. I know this has been gone over before, by can someone explain why the conservation does not stock table rock with bass? I've have read time after time about how lakes in Texas are stocked every year or every other year and they are great fisheries. I just don't u sweat and why a supplemental LM population is not stocked on TR.
  16. I guess count me in. I need a password too.
  17. These are some of the biggest K's I have caught on Table Rock. Did not weigh them but I remember them being tanks and I would guess about 4 lbs. My dad caught the biggest K to date that I have saw. Was well over 5 lbs on a drop shot. He boat flipped the fish when I was netting 2 fish for nephews up front. The fish flopped off and into the jack plate hole. It was stuck in there for about 15-20 secs and he couldn't get a good grab on it. It finally got out and swam away.
  18. Nice fish on the secret weapon! It almost looks like a meanmouth from the picture but hard to tell.
  19. Vernon please let us know how that ultrex handles. I have seen it in action on TV and advertisements but I want real persons opinion on it. I really want to know how the anchor handles in the wind and how well it follows contours. Let us know thanks.
  20. Thanks trophy and Dave. Which Iwata paint brush would you recommend purchasing? There are several models and it seems the revolution have good reviews.
  21. So are you guys saying when you apply the devcon it needs to be 70+ but applying the pain won't hurt it it's below 70. I was thinking of painting in the garage and then applying the devcon in the basement with a little heater on a drying rack.
  22. I'm assuming the best way to custom paint lures is by airbrush gun. My father is retired and he wants to start painting and so do I. Can you paint as good as quality without an airbrush gun? We both are new to this and have no idea what products to buy. Any input would be great thanks guys.
  23. I happen to be staying at my gf's house in St. Clair tonight so I will see you boys tomorrow morning.
  24. I was down on the current below baptist a few years back and heard a mountain lion screeching up in the woods. It sounded like it wasn't that far away. I was by myself and I knew it was a lion from the distinct screeching call. I walked immediately back to the truck and kept my head on a 360. I never saw the cat but I knew it was around close and did. It take any chances.
  25. A jig will catch the bigger fish ?
