  1. (Dtrs) Dave looks kind of like Dave Lefebre don't you guys think haha
  2. Nice report. What part of the lake were you fishing?
  3. I like fishing the A-rig but only when they are really biting on it good. If you are fishing a tourney right now you better be throwing it unless you are some special pattern because it is a big fish bait. The arig was pretty magical when it first came out. I remember throwing it before a lot of people had one and man it flat out caught big fish all the time in the spring. I think the fish have become more conditioned to it now and it's more difficult to catch fish on. It's just hard to sling something like that all day and only get a handful or more bites on it in tournaments but that is how a lot are won this time of year. I hate when they get hung up too because you spook the fish where they are holding when you go to get it out. Weedless hooks help some but you also suffer hooking up with some fish as well.
  4. Trophy and the other guys with back pain, go to a good chiropractor. Don't go to one that uses the little clicky activator but one who actually manually adjusts you. If your disc space is narrowing at L5 look for a Chiropractor who has a Flexion Distraction table. This opens up the disc space and the holes the nerve roots exits out and can give you lots of relief. I am a Chiropractor and we see this type of back pain and sciatica all the time and can really help you guys out. Shoot me a PM and I can probably recommend a good Chiropractor in your area
  5. Sharpnel that's the BB1 not the BB1 pro. The BB1 does not have the settings on the outside externally.
  6. Trophy you don't adjust them internally. That is done on the outside with numbers 1-10. It takes a little time to get it it dialed in with the ranking on the left and right. I believe I throw mine on around 5.5-7 depending on the wind and adjust the one on the right as well when I throw warts
  7. I also agree with basfis. The owner #5 stingers are the way to go
  8. I use the rapala ones and they work okay but I'm sure there are better ones.
  9. I know this has been gone over before, by can someone explain why the conservation does not stock table rock with bass? I've have read time after time about how lakes in Texas are stocked every year or every other year and they are great fisheries. I just don't u sweat and why a supplemental LM population is not stocked on TR.
  10. I guess count me in. I need a password too.
  11. These are some of the biggest K's I have caught on Table Rock. Did not weigh them but I remember them being tanks and I would guess about 4 lbs. My dad caught the biggest K to date that I have saw. Was well over 5 lbs on a drop shot. He boat flipped the fish when I was netting 2 fish for nephews up front. The fish flopped off and into the jack plate hole. It was stuck in there for about 15-20 secs and he couldn't get a good grab on it. It finally got out and swam away.
  12. Nice fish on the secret weapon! It almost looks like a meanmouth from the picture but hard to tell.
  13. Vernon please let us know how that ultrex handles. I have seen it in action on TV and advertisements but I want real persons opinion on it. I really want to know how the anchor handles in the wind and how well it follows contours. Let us know thanks.
  14. Thanks trophy and Dave. Which Iwata paint brush would you recommend purchasing? There are several models and it seems the revolution have good reviews.
  15. So are you guys saying when you apply the devcon it needs to be 70+ but applying the pain won't hurt it it's below 70. I was thinking of painting in the garage and then applying the devcon in the basement with a little heater on a drying rack.
  16. I'm assuming the best way to custom paint lures is by airbrush gun. My father is retired and he wants to start painting and so do I. Can you paint as good as quality without an airbrush gun? We both are new to this and have no idea what products to buy. Any input would be great thanks guys.
  17. I happen to be staying at my gf's house in St. Clair tonight so I will see you boys tomorrow morning.
  18. I was down on the current below baptist a few years back and heard a mountain lion screeching up in the woods. It sounded like it wasn't that far away. I was by myself and I knew it was a lion from the distinct screeching call. I walked immediately back to the truck and kept my head on a 360. I never saw the cat but I knew it was around close and did. It take any chances.
  19. A jig will catch the bigger fish ?
  20. This is why I always fish a jerkbait fast with only maybe 1-2 sec pauses unless the water is under 47 degrees. I get more strikes and cover water faster by doing this. This past weekend I was letting the bait sit for 4-5 secs on Table Rock after not getting any bites for a while with the 1-2 sec pause. I got a few bites but not much. I then sped up the retrieve with hardly any pause and immediately started getting bit. Watch KVD that will tell you a lot.
  21. Well they are not biting very good @Bill Babler or we are just not on them. We had 9 bites yesterday with 5 keepers for around 14 lbs. We had to work very hard for these fish and caught an equal amount on jig and jerkbait. Could not find any pattern and most of our bites came early. I saw Stacey King a bunch around where we were fishing and did not see him boat a fish. Tough fishing
  22. Signal stations off of 65
  23. 2 of those XD'sare probably ones I have lost haha. I don't know what the older ones are though.
  24. Nice report. I was down there today for a couple of hours in the point 1 vicinity. Caught a lot of nice fat brown fish on a jig. Had 4 keepers on consecutive cast. Also caught some keepers on a jerkbait. Fished a wart a little but they seemed to really want to jig so I stayed with that. Even though I wanted to be cranking. Ended up with 12 keepers mostly on jig and 4 shorts. it was a really old day but miserable being out in the rain. My hands don't usually get cold but man they were hurting today in the constant rain. Forgot to mention all fish were smallmouth besides 2 K's.
  25. Yeah that is pretty far up this time of year. I'm surprised they made it up that far past yoccum because that flat is filled with logs up long creek.
