  1. i put my spinner bait box back in the boat too. i'll be interested to see how much it rains and what the water temp ends up to be. ive got cold water and pre spawn baits rigged up. i'm thinking when they make the move its going to be a very fast move.
  2. ive got two tourneys this weekend one on the rock then reeves bros out of hartley sunday. hope to got some meat in the freezer come tuesday. i'll pm you before i come up if you want to go chase them hopefully water comes up a little so i can get farther up the creeks. i'll probly put in at CC.
  3. will be in a burgandy r93 ranger with a blk merc on it.
  4. 5bites it's on!!!!!!! papi ray and I have been building a few things in the shop for me too. I've still got the crankbaits for you in the backseat of the truck for you so remind me because I may forget after weighing in the winning toad !!!!
  5. I will be there monday taking a couple guys i know bottom dragging for a couple hours then plan on taking them back to flat creek inn then doing some fish myself if it isnt too crazy down there.
  6. Champ Lews on Bennett Street had a good selection last week. I bought half a dozen in blk/chrome and blue chrome. if you want a couple of mine get with me saturday I can always pick up a couple more
  7. Bill those are some the nicest spots ive seen in a long time. footballs like those are what has made this lake famous. they are my absolute favorite to catch.
  8. Thanks to Babler those maps have helped me tremendously over the years. I'll look at an area he has marked then find it on the MDC map then zoom in on it and study it carefully. Its kinda like pre fishing from your recliner.
  9. Stacy we heard the whites made a move up the big sac today. Dill talked to a local that said he caught 23 up at Halston bridge today. Cant confirm but the info is pretty reliable. take it at its worth but since you live so close it might be worth a try.
  10. another hint for thowing a jerker is to sit down because you will be more relaxed and not as tempted to twitch too soon or twitch too hard. 15 seconds feels like a long time but actually at times its way too short a pause. walcra ive never put the rod down but ive paused at times for three and four minutes and it can be misery hahaha!!!!! think i'll try the rod on deck technique next cold snap hopefully next january and sit back and puff on a good cigar for luck.
  11. Here's links to OAF maps from west end to the mouth of the Kings. I like to use them in conjunction with the MDC fish attractor map. http://www.ozarkanglers.com/table-rock/files/2011/09/holiday.pdf http://www.ozarkanglers.com/table-rock/files/2011/09/big_m.pdf http://www.ozarkanglers.com/table-rock/files/2011/09/mill_creek.pdf mdc map link http://egis.mdc.mo.gov/statewidefishattractors/index.html# Hope this helps.
  12. yep the rains coming out of the south and posed to start late this afternoon or evening. FYI Dill said theres very little water in sons creek at Campbell Ford and the channel has swung to the south side of the low water bridge. We get some water coming down Sons it should be good by the weekend.
  13. talked to a couple Greenfield guys today and they put over 75 crappie in the boat at CC yesterday mostly dinks tho. They did manage a decent mess in fact I ate a few for lunch today. it wont be long now with the warm rains coming this week. We are thinking the walleye should already be on the move but like you say Turnback is awful low. i didnt dare try last time i was up there and that was feb. 13th. We went below spfld. cove and caught two limits on a traditional spring staging pile in 14.6 fow right on the edge of the channel that broke into 30 fow. Good luck and hope you get on them good this week.
  14. Quill dblades pm'd me this morning so looks like ive got an OAF member to fish with me. I couldnt be more pleased. Looking forward to meeting all of you next weekend

  16. you guys dont have to worry bout me if I have the results Ive had on Stockton lately I'll be lucky to put a dink in the boat hahaha!!!!!!
  17. I have a saying that if you put a young person in the woods or on the water you keep them off the streets. I have developed an interest in the local high school fishing programs and have helped when I can. Parkview High School has started a program and could use our help. they could use everything from fishing equipment to even life jackets. I've gpt a couple new BPS life vests I can donate but what I've realized after helping a couple other programs is every little bit helps. p
  18. I'm kinda holding out in finding a partner just incase an OAF non-boater would like to fish with me. I will be making the run up the Kings River may be as far as sweet water then working my way back down if anyone is interested in fishing with me plz let me know by the end of the week end so i will have time to get one my buddies to fish with me. i know not everyone fishes for bass and may not have alot of gear so if a trout crappie or other species fisherman wants to fish with me dont worry bout gear ive got plenty.
  19. great to hear!!!!! I'll let papi ray know because papi just made some baits for Stacey he was planning to throw!!!!!!
  20. springfield has had them everytime ive been in so im well stocked on all the colors and cant wait till it warms up so i can try them out.
  21. champ my friend dave works over at the outlet store and he showed me a pick of a very nice fish he caught down there a month ago. when i worked at trout hollow lodge a few years ago i used to run below bull creek and chase green fish around whenever i could.
  22. if a list of what still needs to be contributed food, paper plates, plastic silverware and cups, ice, napkins, trash bags and ect. could be posted it would help alot.i'd like to bring something too and am really looking forward to meeting all of you.
  23. I been chomping at the bit to get back on the rock because of the polar bear my attention has been focused all winter on stockton and pomme. pretty disappointed it got cancelled for my friends that had fished very hard to compete in that series week in and week out prefishing and ect. . Looking forward to getting back on the water this weekend, think i'll go hit my old stomping grounds down around baxter and the indians i heard theres been a pretty good spoon bite down that way. might see ya down that direction on sunday
  24. Polar Bear Tournament Series 2 hrs ยท Mother Nature just won't give up! Stockton Lake has lots of ice with only 2 ramps open. Pomme is froze solid, and with the latest winter weather, roads are bad. Sorry to say that we will need to reschedule the championship. With prior commitments and other circuits' schedules, the championship will either be at the end of September or in October. Will let you all know asap. Cut and pasted this off polar bears facebook page.
