  1. Launched at Blue Water Resort at around 9:30 on the hunt for crappie. Water temp 59-60 main lake. 57 way up the creek. 2 hours in with nothing. Wind was howling so i switched to bass mode and had a good day. Shoal creek was a bust. Went into 3 fingers cove and started throwing a Rock Crawler and they were tearing it up. Only bass fished for about 3 hours but my best five were 2.77, 1.85, 2.38, 2.91, and a 2.07. Pretty much stayed in feet of water paralleling the bank, draging that crawler across the bottom. Left around 2:30 Trim motor was messing up on my motor yay!!!!!!
  2. Since were on the spinning reel subject, I know myself and a few others have been very let down by Lews spinning gear. Anyone have the new stuff? I have a Lews Tournament gold i got for $79 half off last year. It is ok but even with 8lb braid on it i can still outcast it with one of my cheap shimanos on the same rod. It started with the lews 20lb braid....yikes that was another mistake, and now with power pro 8lb and it cast fine for what i do with it but not half as well as my other reel brands
  3. And didnt you just buy 4 Air rifles. HAHA when your an addict there is never enough
  4. Enough is never enough. Ive got to the point where im to lazy to re-tie. My boat may be the most loaded down little tracker in the world. (Youve seen the way the ol girl sits in the water)
  5. Well i got bored enough and went to bass pro and looked at the presidents. Ended up with the President XT, the other wasnt on sale in the store. I had a gift card so i wasnt out to much. I got the 35 and it is pretty much identical in size to my Daiwa 3000. Loos like a good set up. Spooled it up with a whole bunch of P-line TCB 10 lb braid.
  6. You couldnt pay me to use straight flouro on spinning gear. I fish to much, and would have to re-spool every week
  7. Pe Thats a good enough answer for me. I have a Daiwa Procyon 3000 now that i use for neds, I just need a comparison
  8. which size is a good one for a ned rig set up, i wanna order one just dont know which one without going in and looking, I swore off ton for a week
  9. Ive pulled up a couple clumps of mussels the lat couple trips. Usually hook some old line and it will have a wad of mussels around them
  10. Not much to report today, 6 crappie and a whole bunch of little bass trolling in my normal areas. Never got a walleye to bite. DuckyDoty, how did you do? I saw ya out there. I think it was to nice of a day for the walleye. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day

  12. Ive caught quite a few over the years around cape and in flat creek. Seems like they are usually keepers, Def not like the kimberling to dam area where you catch a million shorts to one keeper
  13. Do the fish care is my question too. I know a guy that fishes straight braid on everything in table rock and does really well.
  14. My news feed is clean as of last night
  15. Thanks guys ill probably try the place on Kearney. I just wasnt sure if they were a distributor or if it was a retail store. Or i may even give the big Duracells from Sams a try
  16. Anyone know where i can find Interstate marine batteries in the springfield area?
  17. https://www.fishusa.com/Lures-Bait buy 1 bait get 40% off one. I stocked up on some flicker shads and minnows
  18. QUIT JUST QUIT WITH ALL THESE LINKS. Go fish and post something useful for crying out loud. All the real providers quit posting since the only topics are about worthless crap fish
  19. Put in at Beaver and went up stream a bit. Only had about 4 hours to kill. Water has dropped significantly in the last two weeks. Water temp 55-59The courtesy dock is about 3 feet out of the water now. Started trolling flickershads in 15-20 feet stared catching crappie and bass instantly. Uncle Rico was by far the color of choice, they wouldn't touch my Racy shad which is not usually the case. caught about 1 crappie to every 10 bass. Couldn't troll 50 yards without catching a bass, mostly small spots and an occasionally a largemouth or two. It was all I could do to run two rods by myself with all these bass. Ended up with 3 walleye and 5 crappie. Two of the walleye were 22" and one was 19". Every walleye was in one little 50 yard stretch. Most the crappie were just a little over 10" with one being 12". Pretty fun day to be out. Walleye came on the #7 Uncle Rico flicker Shad and two of them were on a #7 flicker minnow in the Firetiger color. I rarely run those bright colors but I was feeling lucky today and it paid off. Wish I could have stayed a little longer to get 1 more walleye but had to get home for the trick or treating duties
  20. Best crappie fisherman I know uses yellow line and he catches the heck out of them. Maybe one day next summer when it gets warm, ill get all different colors of line and make a dive and video different colors at different feet
  21. The theory is that they dont see the red line because it is the first color in the spectrum to go away as you go down. At least thats what they teach in scuba classes. I could see things that were solid red no problem down deep. Never took any fishing line down to test out that theory
