  1. I saw one eat 4 trout in about 30 min once and try to fly off. It could get off the ground. It was pretty funny to see
  2. Yep, one of the expensive ones too
  3. Can you imagine how embarassing it would be sitting on that island looking at you 150K+ boat sitting there
  4. Almost all the crappie i caught that i mentioned earlier in ths thread came off a brush pile that was well hidden that i found with the Garmin 2d. Flat creek gets hit pretty hard this time of year every visible pile gets fished 10 times a day.
  5. They have all made their way upstream a ways now. IT is still a zoo. Hardly anywhere to even park the truck
  6. On the opposite side of the pond in Flat creek i had a pretty good bite. I Went on Monday and didnt get a bite throwing little plastic. Hit the same spots yesterday with minnows and caught probably 40-50 with only 11 being keepers. We threw them under little floats. Most of them were on trees in 10-13ft. We saw 65 degree water up there
  7. I had to replace a couple of those O rings too. I found the at Ulrich in Branson west for $6 a piece......As of last weekend i noticed a little bit of oil coming out of my oil pump. After some research it appears that these pumps are non serviceable per Mercury and they suggest buying a new $700-800 pump. But there is plenty of info out there with guys saying they replaced the O ring in the pump for 59 cents and have been trouble free for years
  8. Dont they let you trailer your fish over if you fish on the opposite side of the lake?
  9. Not cool to ask for info and then never give any out, I havent heard of anyone doing very wel yet up there. Usually Buster posts lots of pics on Facebook when its really happening of his clients whcking them
  10. Heres what in front of Aldrich boat ramp. They are stacked up like that all in the main channel for a long ways. Assuming they are whites. Couldnt get any to bite, threw an a-rig threw them, trolled flicker shads and nothing. Pretty sure my line was hitting some of them while trolling
  11. I caught some crappie up flat creek today. Using 1/32 ounce head with a bobby garland baby shad under a small weighted bobber around brush
  12. I was there today and saw them doing it. I went in to investigate and one was hitting a big gizzard shad, there my a-rig in next to it and a big ole sow ate my rig. I had on 1/8th ounce crappie jig heads and when i set to hook with the braid it bent my hook strait, woops, forgot to set the drag..... I got a good look at the fish though, it was a nice one
  13. Why!!!! I watched all my fish swim off just fine. A livewell isnt a death sentence.
  14. Im just giving guys crap, but there is some truth to it. I heard some older guys bad mouthing at the USA Bassin tourney yesterday. I threw it all day long and only had 11.36. I did miss a lot of fish on mine with 3 hooks. I think the fish just go blasting through the middle of it sometimes with their mouths shut. I figure between baits and rigs i have about $25 a piece in an a-rig. Ill tell ya wht, my hound dog retriever saved us 7 times yesterday. I never thought a retriever would work that well on a rig but it does great.
  15. No one over 40 years old likes it.
  16. ANother thing, i have used the Terrova and the pedal is much easier to use than the motor guide pedal. The Xi5 foot pedal is pretty tough to get the hang of.
  17. Ive had th Motorguide Xi5 for 4 years now and love it. Spot lock i dead on. Not auto deploy though. Only issue i had was a motherboard went out while it was under warranty. IT was a horrible experience trying to get the part. I got the run around about it being on back order of 2 months. Then i finally got mad and called and called and somehow they found a motherboard and sent it out to me. I will by Minn Kota next time just because of customer service. Or may check into the new Lowrance troller that is coming out soon
  18. My head turner has a spinnerbait tied on it 90% of the time, i also throw a lot of warts or squarebills with it too. If i see you out this spring ill stop by and let you take the Deep Cranker for a spin. I feel like i saw your Legend a lot last year either on Taney or Bridgeport area, and also In Ozark driving by. That boat kinda stands out to me for some reason
  19. I love my 6'10 head turner, you can use it for a lot of different things, Ive been using my 7'3" Cara Deep cranker for the plopper the last few years and it has worked great
  20. Hopefully soon. Im ready for some Bull slabs. I never do worth a hoot on walleye unless its August or September. Im gonna try to get down to Big Creek mid April.
  21. I dont know what to believe anymore, i caught my biggest bag ever on 4th of July this year. 4.5 and a 6 on back to back casts. Usually the 4th is when i swear off the lake for the weekend
  22. When i crappie fish Bull and catch some spots ill keep them, throw then in the same bag as crappie. No one ever knows the difference.
  23. I guess they havent updated it everywhere on theor site yet. I checked under "Stockton Regs"and it still said 15". Thats great though, they need to do it at Table Rock too
  24. Im still seeing 15"
  25. Mixed gas, a few tanks strapped on them. not a lot of bottom time before the long slow ascent.
