  1. Lol. I will go check it out now.
  2. Just checking to see if you got my PM about ordering some more jigs?
  3. Yes we did. We had a ton of fun and caught lots of fish thanks to Bill taking us out and showing us the ropes the first day. Right now we are planning a 2 week trip for next spring; looks like the last 2 weeks in April.
  4. Guess I will throw my 2cents in as well; I think the big shad die off has more to do with the fish acting 'differently' this year. I know up here when there is a big shad or alwife die off the fishing is definitely different for a year or two.

Hope you have a quick recovery and not too much pain with it!!
  6. I have one of these as well. One of those purchases that you say probably won't work at all but have to buy it just to see. LOL Guess I need to tie it on and actually give it a chance.
  7. I obviously don't know squat about TR. With that said however here is a thought. It seems you all had a huge die off of shad this year; maybe the K's are not in their usual places due to this? On our trip down earlier this year(first part of May) we caught about the same number of K's as we did smallies. Most all fish were caught between 5-20 feet of water with the K's coming on the deeper end.
  8. Yep easy mistake. I knew it and still for some reason typed it wrong. LOL
  9. Hoping and praying for the best for them!!
  10. The best thing you could do is line up a guide to take you out! Bill Babler and Pete Wenners are 2 I have fished with before and both were great!! I am sure there are other really good guides as well but those 2 are the only ones I have personal experience with.
  11. Thanks guys.
  12. Finally got around to uploading pictures. Here are the 2 biggest we caught. Each were right at 4lbs.
  13. Just got back from our week long trip. We had a great time and did pretty well thanks to Bill pointing us in the right direction to get us started. If you don't know the lake I would highly recommend getting a guide for your first day!! Stayed at and fished around Kimberling City. Fished from around 7:30ish until noon-ish everyday then took a 3-4 hour break and fished again until about dark. Caught around 30-40 bass a day mostly smallies and spots; also had some google eyes as well. Those google eyes are a cool looking fish. Lots of short fish with some keepers size mixed in. Biggest fish were a couple of 4lb smallies with a decent amount of 2-2 1/2 pound smallies and spots. All fish were released. Fished gravel points and pockets. Had boat in 18-20 feet of water most of the time with bank a cast or cast and a half away. For us slower tapering points were not as good. Caught fish from a couple feet all the way out to 20 feet of water. Seemed that most were in the 5-15 foot range. Caught most all fish on 'Ned' rigs and little carolina rigs. Did catch some jerkbait fish on really windy points as well. The usual pb&j and green pumpkin for colors on the ned rig and green pumpkin and watermelon/red flake fish doctors on the carolina rig. Jerkbait colors were elegy bone and ghost table rock shad. Wife has not downloaded pictures yet so will have to post them later. Can't wait until we can make it down again!!!!
  14. For our first day down here on TR the wife and I had Bill take us out for a 6 hour trip. We would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to get pointed in the right direction if they are unfamiliar with the lake like us. We did a good amount of catching but was very happy how he took the time to take us to different areas and show us different technics to use while we are here. We put that information to use this evening and did well on our own without having to have Bill hold our hands. LOL. Thanks again Bill for being a great teacher!!! Caught most of our fish on the Ned rig and a splitshot rig. Probably be best if I let Bill fill in the particulars on our day as he will do a much better job of explaining stuff than me. Hopefully he can see to type as he took a bee sting right by the eye while running back at the end of the day. We are not going to want to go home after our trip as we just love it down here!!!
  15. We are really hoping for some decent weather. Seems like whenever we take a trip there is always some storms and a cold front. Hopefully we missed that by a week this year!!
  16. Has anyone actually compared these to an old wart? As Champ said; they could be promising if they act like an old wart.
  17. Good luck to you as well!! Our boat is kinda hard to see in my avatar; it is a blue/silver Charger.
  18. Wife and I are leaving early Friday morning for a week fishing trip to TR. Staying in a house on the lake at Kimberling City. To say we are getting really excited now would be a HUGE understatement!!! If any of you see the boat (blue and silver Charger) in my avatar; make sure to swing by and say hello.
  19. They look really good!!
  20. Wife and I are coming down the week after you guys. Make sure to take that cold with you when you leave.
  21. Anyone else think it was kinda funny when they were talking with Mark Davis on the phone and he was having a bite on every cast he was using a wiggle wart and not the wobblehead.
  22. So you wouldn't give up the info about the hardhead and beavertail but you now want people to give up info you don't know about??!! LOL just giving you a hard time.
  23. Wife and I are going to be down the first week of May; staying at Kimberling City. Do you all think this stuff will be gone by then or will it be worse? Do you think it will be around the K.C. area?
  24. Got my order today. First time I have ordered from you and I must say they look great!! Will definitely order more stuff in the future.
  25. That is a great video.
