From what I saw the other night (around 10 different bucks and 15 or so does) the balance where I am hunting seems to be ok for now.

I was judging by his body size/composition. You never want to judge by antler size as that can be very misleading either way.

This is in Kansas. Wish I had a place to hunt in MO too.

Passed up this guy tonight hoping he grows into a really big one. He appears to only be 3 1/2 years old by looking at his body. Sorry for the crappy video but he was 70 yards away and all I had was my iphone to video with.

Oh I will never give up and always keep hunting. Reality is that will more than likely be the biggest deer I ever get.

I have already resigned that I will never shoot a bigger deer unfortunately.

In an effort for full disclosure on the scoring: I had the deer officially green scored today. I feel stupid as I made a mistake. When scoring a deer you only get the first 4 mass measurements per side and I thought you got all the mass measurements between all the points. With that said the deer officially gross scored 198 5/8ths; so the extra mass measurements that are not allowed added up to 10 3/8ths that I stupidly added that I shouldn't have. All my other measurements were right on the money.

It is 7x6 typical and 9x7 with the extra junk. Me and a buddy are definitely not official scorers but we try our best to follow the Boone and Crocket guide to try and do it as accurate as possible.With that said we came up with 209 gross. Not sure what the 'net' score would be as we say 'nets are for fishing; not scoring deer'. I will eventually have this one officially scored but it will be a while.

While not a MO deer I do hang out here on the forum so thought I would share my personal best deer. I shot this one in Nebraska. After seeing this guy Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and not being able to get a shot; he finally gave me an opportunity Wednesday. My personal best by far!

Was out to around 12:00 today. Was down by Indian Point and point 5 area for a while. The conditions were what we deal with all the time up where I come from. It did seem kind of rough for down here but would be considered halfway calm up home. LOL

We have been on the Ducks and yes there are pfd's. I am sure during a crisis people panic which doesn't help the situation at all. Prayers for all involved and their families.

Good to hear it didn't affect the bass. Still a bad deal to have any kind of die off.

Anymore news on this? We are/were planning on making a week trip there next year and was going to make reservations for our camper. Has this hurt the bass population at all and if so how bad does it seem?
