  3. I ran into a tourist filling his motorhome at a gas station who told me he was going to Dodge City, Kansas to visit the mountains just outside Dodge. He told me he saw them in an episode of Gunsmoke. He got very angry when I told him the nearest mountains to Dodge were in Colorado.....the conversation still makes me smile.

Nice safe quite community. 2 MINUTES FROM THE LAKE, 40 Minutes to Branson less if you want to fish Table Rock. 40 Minutes to world class trout fishing in the White River. Diamond City puts you at mid lake between East and West Sugarloaf creeks. If you are interested in real estate give Kaleb Moon a call @ Capstone 27 Realty 870-422-3010.
  15. They are really thick in the Lead Hill area. When the water went down last year mussels covered the entire shore line that was under water.....picnic tables, fire rings and everything else. I have also caught a few on jig hooks. They do not seem as thick this year as last year....or maybe we are just getting use to them. These photos are from the Lead Hill Park after last years flood.
  16. Barry Stokes with Fox Southwest Outdoors did a show on Bull Shoals a couple of weeks ago. It is now posted on You Tube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4sYr5Zkcxs He caught some nice smallies and Kentucky's....

  20. Now that the water is down in the campground at Lead Hill Park in Diamond City....we can see just how bad the Zebra infestation is. I shot a few pictures with my phone this morning of the picnic table in one of the campsites. In previous years when the water went down we did not see this on the ramps and the campground. Looks like the Zebra's are here to stay.
  21. Learned this morning that Jim Gaston passed away this morning. Jim was the owner of Gaston's resort on the White river. No details yet on arrangements.
  22. Lake at 690.3 this morning. http://bullshoals.uslakes.info/Level.asp
  23. Launch is open. You can also launch from the road at the Corp ramp to the right of the campground, but parking is limited. The high water ramp is really steep, so be careful. Good fishing.
