Yep. I love fun fishing. But man there's something about the competition. I'll probably be down sat trying new spots and seeing if this high was pushed those fish shallow.

No Friday night torney due to weather. What am I going to do now? 2nd week in a row. I'm a lost puppy dog. Thanks wormman. This kid is ate up with fishing. It never gets old. Looking forward to maNY many more trips together. really makes me slow down from everyday life and enjoy these times together.

I took several over the nose of the boat over the weekend. Not very fun scared the crap out of my son. It's definitely a challenge trying to stay put on those suspended fish. Thanks for the report

I'm the same way fish 98 percent of the time solo. Try to help when it's needed. But I'm sure in the heck not going to be any part of 500k worth of equipment. I'm there helping and he hits something. I smell trouble. Just my opinion on the guy yelling and acting a fool. What does that accomplish? Sit there and watch them make mistakes they will learn. Bill I don't blame you for leaving. I personally would of done the same in that situation. Maybe you should try a private launch the rest of the year lol. Now the keeping of the short fish that kinda hit a nerve. But there again people are going to do that they do. All we can do is teach as many young men and women to C&R and select harvest.

Well I had the chance to take some family from Louisiana out on tr. Along with my son. We let out let out in wolley. Left the cove running towards cape fair. The water was aweful full of trees and logs and the water was really muddy. Decided that isn't what I was looking for. So went towards piney stoping at a couple main lake points catching fish along the way. Fished mostly main lake bluff ends and catching fish the hole time. My cousin couldn't get past that we were fishing so far off shore and catching as many fish as we did. He was like back home our lakes are 6 to 10 feet deep. We are fishing 30+ feet deep and how we were catching these fish. After we got done fish the deep fish I decided right at dark we would throw some top water on these bluffs ends. Caught several. Over all we caught 20 fish and had 8 keepers best 5 was probably 12 lbs. Didn't get alot of pictures but did get this one of my son and a decent fish he caught before dark. Water temp was all over and color was too depending on where you where. I hope everyone had a great safe 4th. Please take time to thank the men and women in uniform and take time to teach a young kid C&R. thanks cody

Well the wife's birthday was this past weekend. So we desiced we were going to go do some camping at mill creek. We got down there at the site around 1230 or so set everything up and was camping. My dad's friday night tounry partner had plans. so i was the fill in. So we hit the water at cape fair around 1800. The lake was full of full sized trees and had to change our game plan since we didnt want to be trying to get bacm after dark with the floaters. Hit our first spot and had 5 keepers before dark. Depth was 5 to 20 ft. Figured we had around 10 pounds. Fished closer to Cape and culed a couple of times. (Not much). Weighted in a limit for 11.28. .2 oz out of the money. But like always had a great time fishing with my ol man and made some great memories. He caught one at 3.30lb that just topped the trip. Really figured we had a chance since fishing has been so hard. But it took 14 lbs to win. We did what we could and had nothing to hang our heads on. So got up early Sat morning (around 6ish) ran out of mill creek just looking since I haven't fished that area in so long. Really didn't have much to go on. Hitting main lake points and bluff ends. Finding fish along the way. Left the water around 10sh (boat traffic was awful) finished with 12 fish and 5 keepers lucky if they would of went 10lbs. Went back out sat around 6ish with my son trying to put together more pieces to the puzzle. That sure didn't work out for me. We fished more secondary stuff with little luck. Was off the water by 845 and my son had 2 shorts and I had 3 and no keepers. Loaded the boat up and put the kids asleep. After that me and my wife sit around the camp fire holding hands and talking about how lucky we are. Got up Sunday made my beautiful wife a great breakfast and we went swimming for a couple hours then loaded up and went home. Over all had a great trip and got to enjoy this wonderful lake we are all truly blessed to fish. Remember thank a man or women in uniform and please C&R. SO my kids and his kids can enjoy what we get too.

Wow. Awesome. My uncle Joe isn't doing to bad. He's been in the money every Friday nighter. Guess I should take some notes Man those weights on sat really jumped. I was down there sat and watched them boys let out. Glad to see some weight. Thanks for sharing.
