  1. Yeah, thanks, I will look into quick snaps.
  2. I recognize this is a minor thing in the world of fishing gear, but years ago after buy/using some Lucky Craft stick baits, I got into the habit of changing out OE standard split rings to the ovals on many other baits (Spro, Megabass, Wiggle Warts). Wonder why other manufacturers don't consider these? Can't be much of a cost thing or more difficult assembly. Sure like being able to tie on to the end of the ovals and not be concerned about being up against the cut wire. And, by the way, it is fairly difficult to make the split ring swap out with my old eyes and fingers. Thoughts?
  3. Hi Bill, we've never met but you put these stories together with a very unique spin. Hope you have considered consolidating some of your comments into a log of some sort for preservation. I am sure that a compilation of some of your posts could make for a pretty amazing book of Ozark's fishing/lore. Thanks.
  4. Like your photos and water color/clarity is really good.
  5. Yes, not that I've fished the rig extensively, but when I have, used the setup of an old 5500C with 20# InvisX and an old Shimano 7'6" flipping stick. Very comfortable and casts a mile with a soft lob cast. All day usage, well, maybe.....maybe not.
  6. I always fish all day. Doesn't everyone??
  7. A few key details I picked up on here that I hadn't considered before. Will add these to game plan this year. Thanks!
  8. G Money Swimbait heads, Tackle Warehouse, good looks, good hooks, good price, catch fish, what more can you ask for?
  9. Well, having a plan to start the day is a good thing, but be prepared to change that plan abruptly as the day plays out. Fish will let you know, one way or another, if your planned locations/baits/depths/presentation speeds are worth sticking to or not. And, as you know, that's how to help prevent your day from "quickly getting away from you".
  10. Thank you all. Here's wishing everyone Christmas & New Year joy and happiness. Bless our military men and women around the world and patriots everywhere. And God bless the USA.
  11. OK, this is top-secret. As an alternative, try this with a single 4 - 5" Keitech attached. Now don't tell anyone.
  12. Babler, Pretty exciting and informative report. Still looking for that elusive big buck with my muzzle loader or I would be out there. Maybe next week. My jerk baits have been talking to me saying, "It's time, don't you know. Let's go."
  13. Those were deep fish again? Nice!!
  14. Beautiful fish!
  15. Has there been any discussion of specific topic or agenda?? I'm interested.

    NED Rig

I see, just trying to make me buy some of every stinkin' color out there, right? And I will. You can bet on it.
  18. You forgot "Original Wiggle Wart" discussion.
  19. Pretty common occurrence. I have a few locations where the last (deepest) stalls hold fish much of the year. You can count on it. Yeah, mostly spotted bass. Don't know of any significant structure/cover other than the dock that holds them there.
  20. Fat Gitzit - Those may have been the original tube bait. Don't know though. How long ago were they introduced. Haven't fish one in years. Yeah, certain excellent baits get lost in the fishing tackle shuffle. I hear a lot of folks fishing tubes successfully though. May have to dig some out.
  21. Tell the truth now, you've never talked to a fish?? Now having one respond is another matter.
  22. "Who Wants to Live Forever"
  23. As always, good insight. Thanks.
