Bought one. Might chuck it at some state lake fish up here if the snow will melt. I curious about what the extra length does to the wobble.
Will be well past that point on TR by the time I get down this year.
I use my ancient Zell Rowland All Star topwater rods, and a St Croix Premier medium (SCII graphite- not the crankbait blank), all 6'6".
I built a long rod for it, but haven't warmed up to it after eight or nine years.
This is a genuine problem. Everything at TR seems to be going to VRBO type deals, with fewer fishing resorts.
It's one of the factors making me consider other lakes.
I've never seen one on TR, even back when I was up the rivers all the time. Always assumed there had to be some, but you just don't run into them.
You'd think there would be some eating Neds around the 13 bridge and its riprap. Have caught channels and flathead there, no drum.
