  1. That might be the first pic of a drum from TR I've seen in the 25 years I've been fishing here. Honestly not sure whether to be excited, or horrified 😂. Fun time though, I'm sure.
  2. 😑
  3. That's what I was thinking.
  4. I almost ran up there with my old digital Tour this afternoon. Might yet this trip, depending on the weather.
  5. Probably a Wrench Q, but does anyone know if an older 36v Tour will fit the collar on a bracket for the new Tour. Asking because I am looking into getting my old digital Tour 109 fixed, the used Tour 109 I am fishing with is pretty solid, and I have a new Tour in the box at home. If the old ones fit the collar, and lay correctly in the new bracket, I'd think about putting the new one on this summer, and keep the old ones as spares. If they won't, I'll probably return the new motor. Thx.
  6. Same. Those were the luckiest crappies and gogs in the lake yesterday.
  7. Must be on Truman. Stumbled into a brush pile or three full of these critters, and gogs. Plus a few little spots. Some really good crappie hanging out around the older dock floats.
  8. I have vague memories of that 😃
  9. What are those green fish in your pics? 😉
  10. It was a great day to fish. Not sure I'd have hit 15, but I'd have scared it awfully badly. You know, provided you like drowning while standing up.
  11. Kimberling is rapidly clearing. Watched a little spot eat a Ned in about 8' this afternoon. Think you'll be fine. Just mind the junk floating around.
  12. Bingo. Plus the cut ZinkerZ is cheaper. 6 to a pack (12 cut for anyone mathematically challenged) vs 8. And...you can cut them to different lengths than just the half stick. Wink wink, nudge nudge.
  13. They didn't bother me a bit. I just figured they had to be in a derby, to go blazing around in that weather. Hope they whacked them.
  14. Or Cops For Kids, whatever it's called now. Is it today? Awful lot of boats out acting like they're fishing for a check.
  15. I'll make an offer. There's a reason Drew designed the TRD to look like that end of the ZinkerZ 😉. I use both ends, but if pushed, it seems like the stubby end catches better size.
  16. That swimbait toys with me.
  17. Sometimes things are better kept quiet 😉.
  18. The action of the Zell rod was perfect. A Saint Croix SCII 6'6" M isn't bad. I have a factory Premier with that blank. Works well for walking baits, chuggers. The Triumph would be the same blank, different components.
  19. Great work. The swimmer bite still mystifies me.
  20. Until they inevitably run it.
  21. It's hit and miss. Plenty of reasonably clear water if that's what your after. Some with color, some with mud.
  22. Hope you dodged the twirly clouds on your trek today.
  23. I did catch a pair of blacks yesterday, that in hindsight were pretty obviously paired up. Not a bed you could see with the wind, but it made sense after the second one ate it. But no stripped fish.
  24. Totally understand all of that. I had to clip one jig Monday, with the Jann's cutters, and one split shot fish yesterday. But that was with a lot of wind. And of course the split shot is a problem child on that anyway. Guarantee what I've been doing is going to take a hit, at least over the next few days. But it's good weather for pot roast night in Lampe.
  25. With weather clear down towards Dallas still coming. I've got that old familiar feeling about this one.
