  1. Not mine. It's been nothing but a bed of roses.
  2. There's always the day after tomorrow.
  3. OK, we're all stuck home. We all need to eat. We all can cook like mad. Let's get outdoors and a little old timey with it. Pictures required. Tomorrow, I'm getting the tripod out and doing something in a dutch. I promise to post pictures. You have to too. Recipes are always welcome! Let's have some fun with this.šŸ˜Ž

    What's Cooking?

    Nature's most perfect food.
  5. Pretty sure anytime the phone is on location can be determined with a ping or two.

Basted is the term I use for that method. Yeah they're good that way.

    What's Cooking?

I've recently started doing eggs sunny side again. Kind of a blast from the past. They were over hash browns with a side of crisp bacon and some grapes. Pretty good if I say so myself.

    What's Cooking?

    You're right!
  9. I just cut the roof out of a stocking hat to make a mask. The fabrication project wasn't going well.šŸ˜Ž
  10. There's probably going to be a "covid" generational bump. Then 50 years from now the young people are going to hate them.
  11. Lovey is getting ready to fabricate some masks from the brightly colored microfiber towels I keep around for fish grabbing. They are in the washing machine right now. šŸ˜Ž Cannot begin to imagine where she found the elastic that she did. She is not a sewing person.
  12. I have $5K still in equities. Everything else in cash, bonds and bond funds. Gave back almost 17% before completing that move several days ago. Since then, gained back almost 3%. These are very uncertain times - who knows how far south this will all go and what recovery will look like both in scope and time frame. I am not optimistic. I am very thankful that we don't need that money to meet our relatively modest (and getting even more modest) living expenses. As others have correctly said, it would be tough to have to sell now to have $$$ to live on.
  13. I sprayed roundup on a little spot that I plan to garden this year. Till it next week when everything is dead. Cleaned out the herb planter too. So yeah the itchy is gritchy.
  14. It would be a very bad time to try to retire with any kind of money problems at all. Or worse, be a young family living paycheck to paycheck like a lot of them are in today's world.
  15. That's how it went once 2008 found it's bottom. This is different in a lot of ways though. The whole world is dealing with a medical problem that's the root of the investment problem. Previously the investment problem was an investment problem start to finish.
  16. Not until people go back to work, at the earliest. IMHO
  17. Same here. People for the most part are being careful too.

    What's Cooking?

I'm eating it right now. And it is goooooood.
  19. It's kind of a moral dillemna for me. I'll spare everyone the bloody details.
  20. If I was you and thinking of fishing Turnback, I would be thinking more walleye than those stinking white bass.
  21. We're debating applying for such a loan. Fortunately do not need it immediately. But, as Jim Morrison famously said, the future's uncertain, and the end is always near.

For Pete: That's what she said.

    What's Cooking?

They look Okay. I'll put a big ole venison burger, half an avocado and a slice of onion between a couple of pieces of the bread, add some Heinz 57 and let you know.
