  1. When it is hot and I know they need cool water I put 4 to 5 frozen juice containers filled with water. Then fill the livewell half full. Most fish are alive when I get home. We just talked about so called fresh fish, from the boat to shore to the shipping area on the plane then unloaded then to the store or restaurant. I think to truly have fresh fish the cost would be so high most could not afford it. Thanks for the info. I guess the F & F stands for fresh fish
  2. My green sticker has 15 on it only other date on sticker was when the sticker or form was accepted by COE Aug 2006
  3. My tag is current and expires Apr 15. I think all passes issued in 2014 are green in color. I think the ones issued in 2013 were maroon.last time they were giving tickets for expired passes. The sticker should have an issued date also.
  4. Glad you had a good day and learned another thing about the lake in your quest for bass. I'm a wimp, I need the temp above 55 better 60 degrees.
  5. Something that has helped me is I have the last 3 editions of the trolling bible. They give the deeps of most lures by feet of line out and type of line. The only lures I'm missing are the newer ones.
  6. I personally like Bass Pro walleye 8.6 rods with Daiwa sealine linecounters, I have the 27's, but if I had to do it over I would get the 17's. I use power pro braid the 4/15. Well you got my 2 cents. Have fun.
  7. Cabelas did it for me. Picked out four different glasses and the salesmen followed me back to the fishing dept. and I tried all. The Amber lens of a he costa was the best. I'm glad to here the support champ received from them.
  8. When you pay a lot for sunglasses the best thing to do is pick out the ones you like, then go back to the fish finders/graphs and see if you can read them just looking at them normally. When I bought my last pair that's what I did. Does not mean you have to buy them there but you can see what you want.
  9. I've got two pairs but cannot remember the models. I do know I finally had to buy the second pair with the amber or brown lenses so I could read the graphs without turning my head. Same with gps in car. Is it just me?
  10. Maybe we should get together in the old rig and spend the day together. I have to to tell you when it's 100 degrees it drops about 3 MPH. Right now it's running good. When wide open and trimmed it gets a little fishy and the 9.9 drags a bit. It also like petro, but it's fun. Only open it once an outing. Normally cruise at 35. But for a 2000 Triton I have been happy. It was the first year for that model. But like we talked take care of the toy and it will last.
  11. Champ needs to write a book on " Who's Killing Bass".
  12. Good for you Longball 22. I may take mine off but why. I get a top end of 57 GPS with 2 and all equip. without it less hole shot and I don't think my top end would improve w/ my old 175 EFI in a 19 ft walleye boat. I don't like the looks, but who cares it's my problem.
  13. I just noticed the banana. Did it put up a good fight?
  14. Hopefully the walleyes will be coming soon.
  15. I was fishing along side of F&F, had to leave as it slowed and had an appointment. Then he catches everything. I think it must be my boat as I know it's not the fisherman in it. Ya right. Nice day and way to go. About 8 boats around us catching nothing and leaving. Hats off to you F&F
  16. My livewell
  17. Nice place to be with the Queen.
  18. Looks like I might get out for the second time this winter. Tuesday and Wednesday are looking good if the wind is not a factor. Just do not like to fish bundled up. First time out I only caught 3 small fish and a spoon that F&F threw in my boat and stuck in my leg. Thanks F&F. If not for the spoon and some training maybe no fish.
  19. Shoe fits
  20. I don't think its Beaver guys against TR guys but just a jerk.
  21. I have one on my Triton 189. In Colorado at 5000 to 8000 foot lakes I needed it when I had 40 to 50 gals in live well and all equip. Here in ar I had to go from a 21" to a 25" 5 blade prop. Because of engine rpm's. It depends on many things. Here I might not need it but I left it on. When on the plan it does not effect top end, but it helps at slow speed.
  22. I agree with walleye Jenkins. I really don't know but from what I remember that's why we had the slot limit up north. I guess to old to remember anything.
  23. I'm going to find out Sunday about the natural spawn in beaver and bull shoals. I think I was told it was pretty high in BS I do know I was told during the flood times it was pretty good. He is a supervisor for fish and game. I'll let you know.
  24. Well maybe wrong, but look at next post, Busters Walleye. Time of year does not seem to matter. Striper reports on beaver have increased activity.
  25. Powerdive I try to believe also as I would not post something that was not true. I always post the facts such as speed, lure, depth and such, but not everything, like exact location. I'll just say points or flats between point 5 and point 12. Friends that I know get everything with personnel msg. Post interesting though. And yes thanks for owning up.
