  1. Fishinwrench's shop and home is on that arm. When he see's this you'll have the best information you can likely get on the net.
  2. Don't miss the point. It's a tradition going way, and I mean way, back. If you think it's about fishing and keeping trout you have missed the point. Taneycomo hasn't always been a trout lake and it is by far the youngest of the trout destinations. There was a long time when you had to wait the winter before you could catch a trout in Missouri.
  3. Yup, the gubmit needs their credit cards cut up.
  4. I was under the impression that there was some spawning on the NFOW and the 11 Point?
  5. Don't overlook ostrich herl for the collar on midge patterns.
  6. that is always tough. We have a cat that was dumped off, or ran off from at thunderstorm, 10 years ago. She was full grown and fixed. She is now extremely thin and deaf and I know her days are numbered and she will be missed.
  7. I didn't realize that. The dam is a great indicator of the crowd and the stream. Once you figure out what normal is the rest is obviously easy.
  8. I wonder if information is available from the spring electrofishing at the Pothole concerning size. I watched them return the fish one year for 5 or 10 minutes and there were some "nice" ones, but I didn't see any really big fish. Obviously I could have missed them.
  9. That area in the video isn't what I would call a good area to film. I wish they would turn it about 90 degrees to the right.
  10. Well if there are so many otters they are decimating the trout population they may crowd out the fishermen. They put a lot of trout in that spring branch. In my experience they always lose some fish during the winter, but not necessarily to predation. Some fish move out into the the river where they can move up or downstream in the winter.
  11. I don't think Smith will hurt them, IF, they have an effective QB coach. I think the D line could use some help. They need someone to take pressure off of Hali. They obviously need some players for smith to throw too also.
  12. Some people have all the luck, I've never seen a cougar on that stretch.
  13. I'm not knocking their walleye program, but now that it is well established I want some of that money and revenue used for Hybrids in BS. Oh, and that's good info Mic, good post.
  14. Look at the 7'- 9' salmon rods with 2oz on the top of the lure weight range range. With a lot of weight you will get more distance with a longer rod simply because they give the lure more time to come up to speed.
  15. I would imagine Rogers would be interested in that. He and Larry's staffs are right there.
  16. Can you be more specific about what you want to know?
  17. I'm a long time fan, back to the beginning of the Chiefs actually and I have serious doubts. While he wasn't a bench sitter per se, he did get beat out and that offers up doubt. The good side is they can get rid of the career bench sitter Cassel. I think there is probably a major league QB in this class, it's just hard to know who it is, but I hope they draft one, just not until they take Joeckel. They need to replace some wide receivers and take a hard look at some defensive lineman who haven't made a good move from the Tigers to the majors.
  18. No, make it more like about the mid 80's, maybe a little farther back. The "improvements" were initiated by Sam Welch with a lot of help from Jim Rogers. Needless to say Rogers has made a fortune off the "improvements"
  19. No Charlie hasn't fished Bennett in probably 40 years. I don't know exactly what information you need, but someone at Larry's or Weaver's would probably be your best bet. Jim Rogers, maybe? Larry's still has the same owner and most of the same crew. Weavers has changed hands a couple of times and I know the present owners aren't newcomers to the area, but I don't know if their knowledge fits what you need. Rogers is another old timer, but you might have to take what he tells you with a dose of salt.
  20. What very little I know about eyes is that the tend to associate with the bottom and if that is true I would think carp, in shallower water, during the night would seem most likely. Wouldn't they have problems with H2O below the thermocline? I would think another possibility might be that they hide under predators who are under shad. I know that cats sometimes turn up under bass who are targeting shad. This is all speculation of course.
  21. When does that normally appear?
  22. Very nice. Care to share the dimensions and angles?
  23. How much have you had from the last two snows Wrench? Did you still have a lot from the last one?
  24. We lived in the park for a a year and it is a beautiful place when it is quiet and snow covered.
  25. Sounds like it was fun in spite of the weather. I see the old Queen Mary is still floating.
