  1. I will admit it has to be one of the dumbest projects I think I have heard of. "labels on packages of fresh cuts of pork and beef are confusing to shoppers". Worry not after 2 years of what was probably expensive research for those who didn't know what a Pork Butt or Boston Butt was, it's now simplified, it's a Boston Roast, and probably pork. for the old pork chop lover there will be no more rib, loin or center cut pork chops, now you only need to remember a simplified description, porterhouse chops, ribeye chops and New York chops. I'm excited. No more confusion and who would have thought simply renaming the cuts would clear up all the confusion.
  2. I think the only real difference in the yearly life of a smallie is in where they are and how aggressive they are.
  3. Ky3 says he fell off of a dock and the autopsy showed drowning.
  4. I know where the NY comes from, but what's a Denver steak, is that the same as a Kansas City strip, only bought ib Denver? Truth is it was the fillet that brought about new steaks, once you cut it out of the Porterhouse or T bone, you have to call whats left something. After you rename it you can charge more for the two pieces then the cost of the original.
  5. Justin do you catch many meanmouths around Cook? It's been 3 years + since I've been there, but I caught 2 the last time I was there. They're the only 2 I have caught in a stream.
  6. Thanks guys. I'm not familiar with the stretch from Tecumseh to Cook. I've paddled upstream, but never down from Cook or Dawt.
  7. Justin do you put in at Tecumseh or Cook?
  8. It might be mudding getting to Saunders today.
  9. Don't overlook the Finley and the James.
  10. Wow, I missed this earlier, nice pictures.
  11. It hasn't rained hard here, but it hasn't stopped either and a balmy 36 degrees.
  12. It's going to depend on where you use them also. The 8's will do a lot better in slow or still water than they will in a current.
  13. I might. If the weather stays decent for camping I'll probably come over. I'm really more interested in the Bryant myself. I wouldn't mind a slow trip from Cook for one. I think it's only about 3 miles?
  14. I was checking the long term this morning and it appears that in a couple more days it will be over, finally! I haven't seen a serviceberry yet, but I haven't been out in a couple of days.
  15. I'll send you a PM in the morning.
  16. Stuart if you fished only at Shadow Rock it's hard to say if you were in the best area. SR can be iffy in my experience, much more so than some other areas close by.
  17. Well Archdale I do it because I want too, and If i was so poor I had to eat what I caught I wouldn't depend on fishing for my food, too expensive.
  18. We're you able to get up towards the fence, or was it good all the way down?
  19. The 10' would be the best choice. They weigh around 40# and anything shorter isn't going to offer any advantage in weight. You might as well go for the storage and better speed and tracking. You give up speed and tracking when you chop off inches in a yak.
  20. My theory is that it's a good substitute for mayflies or caddis because of the colors. I suspect that in Missouri it could be the only dry needed if the pattern colors were bent a little to create bi-visibles to match the naturals.
  21. It's tough to go 12 months with 5 or to all the sites in the state, but if I was forced to limit myself. More realistic might be 5 nymphs, 5 streamers, and 5 surface. Ostrich Leech Prince Hare's ear Renegade Elk Hair
  22. So what's going to be for dinner for all those hives?
  23. Doesn't sound like they will be happy campers come Monday.
