  1. Amazing thing is that that kind of classroom antics will bring you before a judge if it isn't "cerified".
  2. Mic I think the lesson for the girls is simple, when in the wild look ahead and to the side of where you're going. If you see a snake don't run and become a victim, just observe from a safe distance and wait until he leaves or give him a wide berth.
  3. Chief I think she's talking about some barricades to block access to the old restaurant grounds. Ozark had some complaints about late night noise and are going to close it at night. I'm not sure what the daylight street barricades were up for?
  4. I wish I could remember exactly where is was when we floated it, but I belive it was a little higher and wr had some long drags on the lower end. I remember one bed rock are that was a long slick walk. Camping gravel is everywhere and generally on a nice long pool with a lot of fishig water to work in the evening..
  5. I'm not buying the disenfranchised gibberish. When haven't we had disenfranchised? The biggest problem in this country to is lack of a future and that pretty much sums it up. This country has run on the concept of getting a better job, not just any job if you're lucky. The political partiess lay blame on one another as if neither cares and even down to grade school remarks of ridiculas proporportion. This just serves to insulate them from their transgressions. THis country needs the middle class back with adequate income and peace of mind. Some money needs to be shifted back from earnigs gained in absentee to earnings in the weekly envelope. There has to be a future for every high school grad that is more than 4 more years of school. We have to get back to the point where you lose your job today you're working smewhere else in a week or two. The country needs leadership that understands you can't put all the resources towards the lower end and the needy of the world. Our goal shouldn't be lower ourselves to even it out, but help the others rise up. All that ahs to be done from what is needed to fuel the income generting working class. Confidence in the future, that's what fuels patrotism. We had more disenfranchised in 1941 than we knew what to do with and it didn't effect patriotism.
  6. Wellll? Forsyth to Branson, 10 miles? I assume they skipped around alot. Therre are a lot of old docks giving up and at least one boat that is half sunk on the lower end. That's a good start and I hope they stay after it, the lake needs it.
  7. It would likely be a salmon if it were anything to get over the dam and that far up? I actually can't imagie what it could be to make you think trout, hog mollie maybe.
  8. Sounds kind of late unless there are some good rains. You Might check with Miles at Riley's Station. He has always been pretty open and he knows the lower Buffalo. If you need a shuttle they used to do them pretty reasonable. You drive to there place at Buffalo Point and he rides back to Rush with you. You take out at his place on The White, across the river from the Buffalo, where your vehicle is kept on private property.
  9. We always do best on two colors of Power Bait. By two colors I mean two at a time on the same hook. I generally don't fish spring, that's when the whites run, but I assume it would still be valid. A simple rig with a sliding sinker, swivel, 6" leader and a hook. They will generally swallow the bait so I just cut the leader and re rig the hook.
  10. UCF might or might not be strong this year, but they recruit quality and they are well coached
  11. And if only life was that easy. First off the first release of the video was probably illegal. Then there's the liability of showing the world something before all the P's and Q's are followed. The list goes on. It's easy to buy into some "news" persons BS when they hide behind the first and another for someone to follow leagl protocal to keep the situation from turning on you. Nothing wrong with the way he handled it wheter some nosy news person thinks so or not.
  12. About 10'. With the stable water temperatures that's plenty. Bull creek nearby is a good place by boat, as is the area where the lake turns to follow 160. By car the Empire fishing dock and the area around it can be good. It often depends on the gubmit. when RB gets a good stocking it can be good for awhie, but that isn't written in stone. As far as breakfast goes, the old Longhorn in Forsyth reopend and it's the place for breakfast I think. It has a good dinner menu also There are a couple new places Two Fat Daddy's BBQ is good and Charlie's, an upscale, by Forsyth standards, place with a reasonable broad menu is good. Of course there is also Sonic and McDonalds.
  13. I'm surprised and amazed that it took so long for Vietnam to enter the debate. If it didn't change patriiotism then I don't know what did! The uprising that was badly mishandled by authorities and turned into a sport for many who turned it toward those who obeyed the law, whether they agreed with it or not, was somewhat of a solvent for patriotism. It meant it was what ever you wanted it be without any standards. Vietnam was different, it was one of the first times we we tried to help a government overwelm an internal philosophy threat with are own militray. We saw failure in Cuba using stand ins, but in Vietnam we had the majority and the military to work with.there were lots of errors. Many of them were repeated in the Middle East. All of these have simply left our patriotism on hold where it will likely stay until we feel a threat as group, a large group. For the most part we don't really know when to apply it and maybe that's best because when it's spontaeous it holds more power. As far as the 9/11 conspiracy, frogs wouldn't bump their butt if the had wings.
  14. Fishing can be very good at Empire Park in Ozark Beach. To be honest there isn't much in Rockaway anymore. You'll have to rely on other areas if you want carry out beyond Pizza. You can get a good pizza.
  15. Yup. Not much civilization going down lake from the bridge. It's all COE well back from the shoreline.
  16. I like the spiders also. I think Wrench has a propietary fly he swears by.
  17. I don't remember using most of those, standby and squared away is still in my vocabulary. I shot on an AF pistol team and taught small arms so lock and load has been with me a long time.
  18. I see you found Empire. Empire can be "color" critical. I'm not sure what you mean "North of town"? All of BS is COE and none of Taney. They do boat hunt Taney.
  19. How does anyone know that?? They predate most fisheries biology in this country!
  20. I think you're premature. Weak line, short receiver and the play called from the sideline. Makes it hard to arm chair.
  21. I know some get excited over games that lack substance, but if a team knows they have no threat you aren't seeing anything. OU steamrolled Tulsa, mostly with a game plan that was a perfectly executed complicated high school plan. .
  22. I think that is an aspect that we fans don't fully understand. It's a guess, but I would imagine OC wasn't seeing lanes that could be opened and he wasn't going to beat up a million doller back.
  23. It might not be the right breed? Kidding aside hair is an old doughbait strengthener better tha cotton I would imagine.
  24. And a receiver who can go up for long passes. You can't send Avery down field where he has to fight a taller D back for a long ball.
