  1. Any one read the article about the man and his Ned rig in the January '17 issue of Bassmaster? My largest came in late February on a jerkbait. So many options. Good luck
  2. Very nice fish, way to get them
  3. Has he given any indication when the web site will be up and running Champ?
  4. Sorry to hear that RPS, I reckon as you say to try and look at the bright side of what they didn't take, is that a new boat you have & if so be glad they didn't do cosmetic &a or structural damage to it. My regards to your situation & keep your chin up. Thanks for your contribution to this site.
  5. How about heck Bender??
  6. nice fish, good job
  7. Thanks Ham, appreciate that, I sent him a pm, we'll see what happens. Happy New Year to ya!!
  8. Which Griz Ham, there are a few of them
  9. It's a shame Uncle Josh went out of business, sure would like to get more of the jumbos, b&b, anybody have any stash they would like to sell or know where one might get them, I've looked everywhere with no luck
  10. 7.12, Feb. 1999 Deep Diving suspended Rouge, Black & Silver
  11. Merry Christmas to all & your family.
  12. Don't feel bad, a couple years ago as i was getting ready to walk into the house a six pack slipped out of my hand & I reached for it and had a couple old jerkbaits I hung on a shelf in the garage next to the door, well one of them went in deep enough to go to ER & I wasn't even fishing.
  13. Nice fish Hammer. Thanks for sharing
  14. A bit more pricey, but the last two I purchased were the Stradic c14+ 3000fa & the quantum pt speed freak sl25 Xptia. Very smooth performing reels & have had no issues with them.
  15. Phil, thanks for posting that article about the state parks, brings back a lot of memories as I have a old friend of mine that lives down there & we hunted that Pigman Ranch for years where they are planning on that Eleven Point River State Park. The total size of that ranch was 18000 acres before Reed Pigman sold it & real estate company got it and sold off lots. Larry Latham & his late father ran that ranch for quite a few years & we had some great times down there. Larry's father passed away years ago & Larry lives just outside of Alton MO. Was able to see him a few years ago and thank him for all the times we had.
  16. wouldn't much matter, he already caught it.Nice fish
  17. Very nice, & great eating!
  18. Nice fish, them whites seem to be hanging in there.
  19. Fisherman, went and fished sheer bluffs as you described and caught quite a few, had to work some stretches of bank at times before I would find some but when I did they were a few in the area. I can see where a person could get a good one fishing that way, As you go down those bluffs your going to come to cuts of shallower water to the bluff side with broken rock and deep water to the other side, perfect ambush points for a lunker. Somebody will get one somewhere.
  20. It's like a bad drug!
  21. It is very difficult no doubt to put that jerk bait down, we can't or will not put it down or constantly keep picking that darn thing up. Seems every time I cast it I can't wait to feel that tap on the end of the line, I think the anticipation makes us work the bait to fast then, if I never got a bite on it I would probably present the bait better. It's like a bad habit fishing that thing. Sure is a lot of fun though. I had a few swipe at it the last couple days and how they didn't get hooked I have no idea. Anything else it touches its hung, crazy.
  22. Nice meeting you to Jared, good to hear you caught them & had a good time, take care and we will see you next time. Good report & thanks for the info.
  23. Went back out today, caught a few smallmouth on JB this morning, no keepers, caught a few on spinner bait, no keepers, caught a few on RC, no keepers, came back and got some coffee and went back with wart, caught about 6 or 7 then finally hooked up with a keeper. Have had a heck of a good time. Bald eagle rooster in tree right in front of me this evening.
  24. Not sure what to expect here on TR today. Weather man says the clouds may stick around, maybe not. Light wind. Rather have the cloud cover, with the light wind hoping for another jig day like yesterday afternoon. Good luck.
  25. Good job on getting them.
