  1. think that water will ever clear up?? what was the temp. went to table rock and caught some small Ks and that was it, lost one on a jig and lost one on RC, better luck next time, I imagine the water in the gravois is stained also, as long as it isn't like mud, nice fish also!!
  2. I seen them yesterday evening out at the end of a long run off, and this morning from out in 60' of water to 20', caught some kentuckys in the bunch but no blacks, been a few years back I found a good school of nice Ks and blacks in the back of a deep cove, all on grubs, Water temp at that time was 42, right time right place
  3. I was in the same area today, nut much luck for me either, had one on a jig, lost it, had one on a RC, lost it, going to give it a try tomorrow again, good luck!!
  4. I was hoping to get down this coming weekend but apparently Ford put cheap rotors on there new trucks, I just ordered power stops today, may still come this weekend despite, and I still plan on coming down on the 12th to hang out and meet some of Your Gang!! Hope you guys aren't to ruff on newbies!!! Looking at the weather now, Saturday into Sunday, 40% chance of storms Sunday, the opportunity is there I would think.
  5. nice fish champ, looks nice and healthy, hoping to get down soon. been doing a bunch of tackle organization and some repair on trolling motor this winter, looking forward to get down. Good fishing to you all.
  6. Thank you Sir for the info
  7. nice fish, I seen your article in BBC the other day, you guys did a good job in tough conditions, Big Bay is where one of my bigger fish has come from, again, nice fish!!
  8. Looks like you had a good day being out and about, I am not much on the A-rig, but thinking about coming down soon, anybody know what the water clarity is in the gravois??
  9. Nice fish, glad to see you 2 got em, I haven't used the quick 5 but I have been using the Snowden jig for some time and have had some very good luck with them. Keep on gettin after em!!
  10. He gave me some helpful information also a while back, very cool of him, we all have one thing in common and that is the outdoors and fishing, aint nothing like helping a fellow angler out. Make it sometime in spring Wrench, we'll all load up on some crappie and have a feast.
  11. happy birthday and thanks for all the post and information you have supplied, I for one appreciate it
  12. very nice fish indeed, looking forward to getting back, probably in Feb. I myself think one needs a whole different mindset when his end goal is a trophy, ya someone always gets lucky while fishing but the big ones don't get big by being dumb, whether or not there are any like that in TR, I believe there are, I hope there are, and when I do come back that is going to be the game plan, I don't care how many I catch, I'm just looking for one bite. Been thinking about this for some time and the challenge is on. I personally wish it would get cold and stay that way for a while, cool that water down more and then get a few warm days, Ole big mouth would be looking for one big bite. I see on the 6th at campbell point the water temp was still 48.6, wish it was colder. It sure is nice to have that access to the water temp.
  13. nice fish, way to go
  14. The floating rapala is one of my go to baits in the spring, particularly when the right weather, water conditions are met, It will flat tear em up
  15. Thanks a bunch
  16. when and where will these be available??
  17. how about this one, I can't seem to find this color,
  18. sure you all have seen this,, http://www.scout.com/outdoors/wired2fish/story/1520787-introducing-the-chicken-rig-for-bass-fishing
  19. I have a Phenix X-12, 7'6" crankbait rod I am willing to sell. This rod is as brand new as your going to get without buying new, I took it to TR twice, I bought it in spring of 14, I believe this rod is better suited for throwing medium to deep diving crankbaits, This rod list for 199.99, I have the box it came in and will ship it also, If interested shoot me a price and see if we can negotiate a price. Thanks SOLD!!
  20. As many people that fish for crappie down at the lake I can understand why the abundance of slabs can change from year to year, along with spawning problems, wether Ameren afflicts that problem or not, I'm not sure. And I'm sure that many people are way over there possession limits also, It wouldn't matter if they changed the limit, a 9" crappie is just a dink anyway, you put some time and effort into it and you'll find some nice keepers, JMO
  21. Well to be perfectly honest I never put no thought into it, I should do a bit research and look into finding a rod that would fit the bill. Thanks for the advice.
  22. try this out, http://www.missourigeologystore.com/home.php for custom topo maps try this out http://www.mytopo.com/index.cfm
  23. great information no doubt, only downside is spending another $400 to throw 1 bait in particular, the things we do just to catch fish!! Thanks for the Info!
  24. Thanks QB, sounds like fun
  25. are your rules stating that this is just a 1 fish weigh in per person, not a 5 or 6 fish weigh in as such in most tournaments, never been to eagle rock ramp, if I stay at play port resort in shell knob, how long of a drive is it to eagle rock, it doesn't look to far.
