Put in at cricket at 2:30 this afternoon. Threw some small jigs to see if I could find a crappie or 2. Ended up with 17 big goggle eye and quite a few bass. Even caught 7 keeper spots and a bunch of shorts on the little jig. Man those keeper spots were fun on 4lb line haha. All bass went back in the lake but the goggle eye went home to the fryer. Had a ball catching a little bit of everything today.

Thanks I'm planing on doing just that in the morning.

Anyone been to that area? Anything going on over there?

Anyone head way up long creek after the whites today? Was wondering if you could motor up there after last nights storms. Was going to head up after them tomorrow.

Man as bad as I hate to I'm going to have to head to flat creek sat and try and put some fish in the freezer. I figure the boat traffic is going to be bad. How's the water looking over there? Still dirty?

Finally got my mold in and made some heads for the Ned rig. Just had to try them out yesterday. Man it was cold out there. Only fished for a little bit but was able to pull 2 of the bottom in that short time. Nothing of any size. Both right under keeper size, but hey I'm just glad that my jig heads seem to work. Main lake chunk rock point in 15ft of water.

And the motor is a 74 merc modle 200. Just 20 hours but will work till I can get a bigger one

Ya I took some as I went along. Only modifications were I built side walls with storage and the casting deck. I also restored the motor. Here are some more pictures of the whole process.

Bought this 1972 terry bass boat in the fall. Got it and the trailer for $350. Spent all winter gutting it and completely restoring it. Very happy with it. Should catch a crappie or two and maybe a few bass haha.

Went out at first light sat morning. Fished top water and a fluke and managed to land 8 with 2 good keepers b4 all the boat traffic ran me off the lake.

Where is the best place, and what is the best kind of jig head to buy for the NED. Bass pro?
