You and everyone else knows im right, im not going to dig around for primary literature proving how badly we are destroying the oceans (I imagine you would dismiss it anyway), and im not going to play childish semantics games with you. Do what you wish, and so will I.....Either way youll still be catching fish on table rock when you go.

Idk that i can agree with "heavily regulated by government officials with a firm knowledge of the resource and its viability". We are depleting the oceans biodiversity at a much faster rate than the bass fisherman are depleting the bass fishing at table rock. That cant be questioned. I think its much much better and more sustainable to eat locally caught wild, prolific, and abundant fish, than it is to eat incredibly over exploited, highly toxic, and depleted ocean fisheries. Not to mention that the oceans are much more critical to people/life on earth than the lake. It is irresponsible to eat ocean fish, as they do not replenish themselves as fast as humans are taking them out. Look at tuna populations...or any other ocean fish, they are doing much worse off than table rock spots. Farm raised fish get a big fat giant thumbs up from me. That is a great way to feed large numbers of people.

Thanks. I didn't/dont wanna start arguments. It seems all the lm ive ever got outta table rock has been scrawny except my brother in law got a 22 incher that was fat. Those spots r such footballs!

Ya thats the only way i can really rationalize it. Probably a little of both id guess. I know when the meremac floods ull see tons of crawlers right on the bank. You could fill up a bucket! Also....speaking of weights of these fish....I only ever measure length. My biggest spot was 19.25" ill try to post a pic. A few that are 18" or bigger. How much to those weigh? I always assumed an 18= about a 3lber for spots n smallmouth.

What really amazes me is that a bass, Sitting in 20-100 fow, where there isnt another worm for a half mile, will eat a nightcrawler suspended indefinitely in front of their face. Ive had times where I couldn't get fish to look at anything that wasnt a 3/4" shad. Yet theyll readily eat a crawler floating around?

Ill most likely take you up on that offer, i could sure learn a thing or two!

Well thats good, I hope to find a few eyes myself this year. Im giving up on the lower end. Im just gonna trailer up lake for a day or two and try the unfamiliar water.

Thats a great outlook, good on you! If someone pulls up on me that close, I simply ask how they are doing, and if they are having any luck? If they arent having any luck than I try to help them as best as possible, although usually my advice isnt any better than what they are doing lol. There are always more spots to fish, as you noted your boy picked out another spot, and had continued success. Great day on the water!

I apologize. I was reading it from my phone, and didnt notice the smiley face areas. Yes I have terrible grammar, that I will not argue with. I curse way too much too, which is a sign of poor intelligence and a limited vocabulary.

Also....ya know there are seven marked spots on a very small section of water. Almost as if there are good spots all over table rock! Pick a main lake point. Sink a crawler down 20-30 feet No bites after 30 min. Go to the next one. And repeat. Or maybe the 7 best spots on the lake just happen to be a half mile from where ur staying. In that case better take that pic down.

Its an evolutionary advantage to look out for others of our species. Its Hard wired in our brains to "empathize" for other people. All part of being a social species.

1/64th oz ball head no collar jig. 1.5-2 inch trailer of choice. I go 2" keitech swing impact or easy shiner. Thats my go to crappie set up as well. Dab o loctite glue is needed. 2" swing impacts have caught me lmb (3 inches to 5lb lol)crappie, all different sunfish, white bass, musky, catfish, and gizzard shad.

Were they eating bugs? Or chasing bait? Sometimes fish will chase bait thats 1/2 inch long. I just ignore em cuz I cant catch em. A small fly or popper maybe? That's happened to me countless times where ill see surfacing fish and and waste all my time trying to catch em when Id be more productive sticking to my original plan. Totally annoying!

They dont allow private boats there. Just the rental john boats. 33 has lots of those though.

I agree 100%....this is the point that i have been trying to make for a while now....I dont fish the lake 300 days a year, and keep all the fish i catch. I fish the lake 4-7 days a year, pretty sure babler puts a few more hours on the ol drink than me.

Yup, Just because they swim away we think that they are good to go. Put any land animal through the sort of trauma that a fish goes through and see how many survive. Not to even mention the amount of plastic that fish eat from all the lures. Ever lose a dropshot worm or crawdad plastic to a snag but get your hook back? That bait falls to the bottom and has a good chance at getting swallowed. I once dropped a senko in the water at a boat ramp and watch a little bass come up, eat it and swim off. They swallow it, and it probably dies. "blissful ignorance" Perfectly stated.

It was me I caught and ate all the keeper bass outta the rock. Just a bunch of 14 1/2 inch fish now
