Lake is full of crappie right now. They catch far more crappie than white bass trolling in places.

When i floated it was very rare to see stock in the river. Maybe they come down at tines to drink i do not know. I can tell you though the idea of making live stick in the river free game would never happen. I have seen all kinds if animals in the rivers bathing going to the toilet. Etc including human animals. How do you justify that would be the argument you would encounter. Such a argument could lead to all kinds of unpredictable results. For one there would be a nightmare of water rights issues. Then again it would be no real problem to line the bank with electric fence and start pumping water out of the river to fill watering ponds.

Reelfoot use to have some real hog Blue Gills in it.

I use freshly netted shad in the fall to spoons to deep jig on LOZ. I have used live hellgrammites years ago on the the Meramec when was able to find them. I do not think they were so hot I must say. . A small crawfish is king of that river. And maybe any river in the Ozark's.

They should be doing that up here at LOZ now but they are not. I been getting really full of this lake this year. Last year i caught 16 bass over 5 at this point. This year I only got 6 and it would have been 4 if i had not gotten 2 inside a hour a week or so back. Then it shut down again.

I have not seen her in the store lately. but when i do i am going to have to congratulate her. I will also have something to say about her sticking her tongue out like that. Thing is i did get a keeper and never left the dock. Actually Mitch he is bass fisherman of a very high quality it he just burnt out on all the shenanigans that go on when you get caught up in that competition thing.

There is something about inside information. I never paid much attention to it though i alway thought they might be getting it. Then one time I was visiting with a friend that had a home up in a cove right across from a small hump that i had been fishing. We were sitting on this deck and this good looking gal in a swim suit drive upright to the spot like she had been there a hundred times before. Wheni stopped staring at her body I noticed the boat had a lot of decals on it. It was Penny Berryman. She was in a practice session. She pulled straight into that spot from her take off about 6 miles away. She spent 2 hrs there.she did not catch anything. Personally i think she was to early in the day for that place, But I am certain someone told her exactly where to go.

Just remember one thing it is the states responsibility to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. You talk all the stuff about what he did and the prosecution witnesses can say he done it. But they are witnesses for the prosecution. They will be cross examined by the defense lawyer. And when he's done if he is any good the jury is going to have doubts about they thought they seen and didn't see or know while under the influence of alcohol. Also defense witnesses. Are biased in there opinion of what happened. When you hear stuff like the victim was try to cool things down and reached for the gun to push it away. Well who said so??? A prosecution witness is who. This small time county prosecutor better be better than i think he might be.

This discussion can go on forever. But i can guarantee you there is a lot of other things involved. I used to help a JAG where I worked research a legal question that had been in court several times over a period of many years. It was not about murder it was about immigration and benefits. This Castle thing sounds like something that is going to really require a lot of research. The law can say something in black and white but there is other things get involved such as the intend of the law and all prior rulings. If they select the right jury. And the lawyer introduces things in such a way that might show reaching for the gun was a act of aggression. I am thinking hung Jury on this but he could get off scott free.

Some poor folks do. A lot do not. There have been millions of people caught up in the economic mess we have made of this country. I would not worry to much about it. It will all be over in a few yrs. if we going as we are.

Well you read the law. I would use my lights then because the boat patrol does have a right to determine if your in a dangerous place here in Missouri. Another way to look at 14 and 15 would be to say anything and everything else

I think the real problem is that they are following orders. There isno mandatory requirement for filling a ticket book. When i fished nights i turned out my light like most fishermen the only time i was ever bothered was at the mouth of the Gravois Arm on a weekend night. And he just said turn on your lights and left. But this discussion here is flavored towards he has no right to do that but he most certainly does. I knew when this law was posted it had to have a section for his desecration.

Be real careful about this. Go down to section 14 and 15 and read it carefully. I am sure he can order you to turn on your lights and order you off the water if you do not. The way i see it you argue with him about it you get at least two tickets. I would imagine on some lakes they do not enforce this except during high traffic periods. In either case he has the ultimate decision not you.

It is not that simple there need to be something done about the U S navagatable waters issue. Like it or not U S law trumps state law.

Im sure they hit buoys in broad daylight. I have seen them do it. I have also seen a fool drive a cruiser straight into a bluff. Last summer some guy drove his boat up into the woods so far he could have hunted turkey just down lake from me. They have driven boats onto the golf course and we had a member ( you remember this guy wrench) of a bass club that drove his boat into a island at night going so fast the boat became airborne and ejected both people in it. 99 and 9/10 of this crap is due to drunken drivers or other drugs. I have a friend who was a Lt.Col in the water patrol and he has seen it all. Something drastic needs to be done. There is no doubt about that. It is upto the poelpe to push it down the throats if asses in Jefferson City.

Teddy wrench is right. You can run with some very good fishermen in those clubs. I have no idea what clubs there in this side if the lake. I was in bassin bandits with wrench but I do not think they exist anymore. i was wondering what mike marker your in since sunrise beach covers a lot of area. I live out of Laurie and rarely leave the Gravois Arm myself. I do not and am not qualified to guide and do not know much about other areas. This last year I think has been spotty all over the lake as far as bass fishing goes. I had a terrible year here on the Gravois.

They may have had extra pressure up here. sunday was o awful bad out there. Also this place coconuts has a darn airplane giving rides up there i have no idea at this point how they are keeping a waterway clear for landing and takeoff. Then in the air he swoops down at tree top level into the coves. Gives them a thrill ride. It will go on I suppose till he has a mechanical problem and sticks it into someones home. I think the water patrol has been having a lot if problems with the coconuts facility.
