It sure is Jerry. several are millionaires around this neck of the woods. I can weld a bit and fix my own dock ad lift CRITTERMO.., Have you considered replacing it. I have a fiber gllass box lift under mine that locks up against pins when it is up. They are very good boat lifts and do not have those plastic bushings.. I know soneone who might be able to help you and that is B&B boat dock on the gravois I think John has several used lifts he might sell you., I have changed one arm with my neighbor. It is no real hard but youvgot to rase the lift up enough to get the arm loose with a come along. Think you might have to have that frame welded before you do anything else though.

Yes they are all prety uppity up down at that place. They have the thinking that they just deal with high quality fishermen and othera are not really worth their time. I know Ed btyant does not carry much in the store anymore. He does not depend on selling a lot of it. I like him and have tried to get him to carry more. He has other pokers in the fire. I think he sells collectable tackel and lures on the internet. He has a collection in the thousands of collectable lures. Plus another collection of thousands of reels. He does a lot of repair work as well. He is good fisherman and still winning a lot of his clubs tournaments. Fisherman coming in there may not have a Jersey or a wrapped truck on the lot. But do not be fooled.

I just flat refuse to pay the prices at Fritz. If I am foing to pay high I will go up and ask Ed Bryant at Osage Outdoors to het it for me. He ia a friend so I try to support his bussiness when I can. Prices are out of control. 31/2 OZ WOW way more than I would want. I think the biggest I have is 1oz slngab spoon another one of my favorites

I like the two in the middle. Did you get them locally. My favorite though has long been a Johnson Sprite. hope to get out on a couple of my favorite humps this fall. Theyvarecso far out I am plain scared to try to fish out there.

I agree woth that Wrench. You know as well as anyone there are deep fish and shallow fish. Must have been close to 2 months ago when I started catching deep bass. Surface temerature was hovering around 80 at the time. I have always felt that some bass live deep and come to the bank only in the spring spawn, then retirn to the depths. I believe they feed by rising to feed off the bank. It must be prety peaceful and secure down there. A lot depends on the fisherman and how he likes to likes to fish. That is where I and wrench as good a friend as he is part company. He goes up and I go down.

Just a suggestion. I am a local. Been out here for about 25 yrs. Live about 200 yards from the Ellison drowning. I know there are shallow fish and deep fish. I have been catching some fat 12-13 in dinks walking in back of mine and neighboring docks shallow very late in the evening. These dinks sort of surprised me. I expected them to show some stress due to the heat But they were looking pretty happy overall.

I can understand that. We have about rolled the wheels off our little Ford car going back and forth to St Charles when one of our gorls have a problem or doing something. One was born with something defective in her hip bone. They doctors did not want her to use it very much for over a year. I made special oak furniture for her. She is now 7 and we no longer go up there about the hip but sure do for dance recitals and soccer games. The furniture was given to some childrens health organization and is to other parents with babies in that situation. Young kids have a real amazong ability to bounce back.

That the fishing that deep might be just great right now.

I havenot been really able too fish spoons the past few years. But certainly hope return to it. But like mos ither things I do not follow the precribed way. I really loved to catch largh catfish under scols of feeding White bass. I have caught dozens over 10 lbs and one almost 50 doing this. I call it the poor mans deep sea fishing. LOZ blie cat fishing has really fallen off these past few years.

I got old frayed wide brimmed hat I have had for years. One of those where the sides button up. I am so attached to that thing I get excited when I forgot where I left it. Got a Parrot embroidered on the front. A froend brought ot back to me from a cruise. Told my daughter aafter I a, dead to hand it on the wall over my favorite fishing rod and reel as a rememberance.

I loved marabou when I floated., I liked 1/8 oz jigs tied heavy and long in either solid black or purple and pink. The purple and pink could be a iiiler. Back in the early 60's people thought I Was nuts to be using that color combination.
-
All my jig are budktail except for a 1oz rubber skirtd one jig I have used to bang the bottom. To me the thing like about deer hair jigs is I can customize their sink rate. leavng the hair real long males a trailor effct. Do not really think though that the fish cares if it is hwir, pastic skirted or a grub. It is a personal preference.

Not a Table rocker nut what about chasing the shade. That lake has got to be full of ledges tapering at differnt degrees. Got a botion that if I was going to fish it would be morning and evening shade.

They are not back they been camped in the soil since this time last year. these now will be laying their eggs in the ground and dieing. The eggs will become larve and emerge this time next year to repeat the cycle. I tried catching the larva in the ground and posioning them. It worked a bit but not a lot. I think if you Can catch them in the early stages of emerging you could reallyvdo Somme damage. But Ibunderstandctheyvhave a large range for such small wings. They love tress like Elms. If I gould spray them when they appearcI would wipe out a awful lot of them. Our however are all ozer 75 ft. I am Not about to reach them..

I would bet in southern Wiconson but I have seen the Mississippi at Clarksville that color in the winter. Was a period of rime I would take several trops up there for Walleye, Sauger and Black Crappie.

GOOD I HOPE THEY GET MORE. Thing is like I said I have no use for the aloft thinking of these kind of people who feel they can do this. It. A old Navy discription comes to my mind to discribe them. Theu are 3 grade lower than Whale s--- at the bottom of the ocean. -

I know one gorl and have met twp others thatvwork up there at Cocont as servers in the summer. They want to malexmoney for their education thereby imroving theor future and becoming productive citizens of ts nation. The people they serve are wealthy big boater people with a lot of money to spend. One of the great joys of these type of prety people is to sneak out without paying the bill. This asshle owner then charges the bill to the server. I cannot make up my mind who in the h-- I wish I could shoot first., I have a terroble attitude about these kind of people that boarders on violence. We would be a lot better off with a lot less of rhis type scum -
I like the idea of batterie powered utilities ob a boat dock. But of your charging batteries you can still electrocite yourself because of the amperage. We keep a lage spreadcout oramentsl garden. Water for that cones from the lake. I have a 2hp pump on the dock it would make short work of and solar arrangement I think
