Most of the leaders of this nation been telling you there is no climate change going on. I am sire they must know the trith and would never lie about it for some self serving reason.

That will only mke matters matters worse.

You will never figure out the mental thing unless exercise deep concentration. That means blocking out everything between you and the end of your line. For me thats easy. You could run a train next to me and I would not hear it. That is also one reason I like to fish alone. It is twice as hard for me than a hearing a person with someone in the boat. Keeps you on edge tapping you shaking the boat amd god only knows what else. But hearing are not it is eally hard to concentrate woth someone else in the boat.

I use it all the tine on crappie outdits but have all I need.

the ones I had came in only two colors. Red and brown. As far as the bait caster goes I do not think I seen a free spoolone till sometime after I gotvout og the Navy. I learned the old fashioned hard way.

Another name for that particualar style is Saturday night special. I have a stainless steel 38 special simaliar to the one in the post. I fished with a group at clearwater. Our whole purpose was to catch a s many carp as possible to be processed into fish paddies by a local church and frozen to be distributed to locale poor families. There is another priceless use for carp. Most young people and to many older ones panic when they get a heavy fish on. The below pictire is of my son at about age 9. I taight him to catch carp on a crappe outfit with 4lb test on it. As you dan see in the picture from one of our trips to clearwater. Those carp taught him well. Now days he likes to choallenge large sharks off the beaches in Florida.

You got to registar it by law. what do you intend to do with it. That gun was designed for one purpose as a weapon. I have a stainless steel one like it.

Down at Clearwater we used to use feed corn. Would drill holes for the hook in it then soke it in coolaid

That os exactly the kind of thing happened to me. except for the fish. I did a lt of hollering abd screaming at him every time he startee to take a shot at the plug. At the end I thought he was going to just ignore me and come get the plug. But he left. I did not fosh that cove throughly . Had I made a lot of cast Inam sire he wouod have gotten it.

Owls have there ways. I had one follow me from tree to tree up and sown a small cove tring to steal my top water bait. .

I agree woth you on that Wrench. LOZ has temperatire influenced by the shade of thousands and thousands of docks and these big boat do a pretty good job of mixing things as well. Never have really bought into the stuff about surface temperature being a real big controlling factor. To me it is only a tiny piece of the pattern puzzle. THat said it still seems weird down here.

WEEKEND WARRIOR this has been a very strange year so far for me. I do not know what it is but thngs just or not what and where they should be. It is either the fish, me or Wrench doing something nasty in the lake and it is washing down to my area. I have caught several spawning size keepers this year but only one had a bloody tail a 5lb 4oz one I caught behind a neighbors dock about 8 ft of water. Wrench also reported 7 keepers with no banged up tail this week. The crappie spawn at my dock has always been a sure thing. This year it never materialized. There have been very very few bass including dinks that have paid attention to a wacky worm. That is something I miss. Now today is a good example of strange doings. I caught 2 keepers first was was 15 " right where you would expect it to be. That was the only one. The other keeper was a 4lb 5oz female I caught on a brush top in a least 15,ft of water. It was a big bellied female with no beat up tail and no spawn color. I just before dark I was fishing a deep steep ledgy area by casting a drop shot up near the bank and bouncijg it from ledge to ledge. I have caught several nice bass doing that. Well I caught today was dink after dink at 20 ft and or better on a giant trick worm. Craziest year I have ever had in the mid Gravois.

Wrench----- you can bet it is very confusing. Very Very strange. My son was here and we went piddeling a bit for him to learn about new easy to use bait casting reels. He got down here and did not have a lot of time. One of there older office buildings they have ,was broken into Friday night and the thieves stripped every last peice of copper pipe out of it. Son said it must have been a darn crew of thieves. Hell of it is the building is sold amd they were suppose to close on it this week.

Funny about the spawn. Here on the Gravois it has been very tuff to find any fish in the spawing areas. They all seem to be hanging off the bank. I caught two nice sized spawnimg sized keepers yeasterday to 2 3/4. One was at15ff. I have only caught one that had a beat up tail. So yeah, it looks like the spawn is past. Hear in the Gravois though it does not appear right now that neither the Bass or Crappie have even spawned very much. Gravois is clearing pretty fast and I have yet to find a bed or a old used one.

My daightef lived in Columbia for several years on a house built in 1980 in the area called victorian village right near Univ of Ohio. I live on the Gravois Arm and rarely leave it anymore. I will say this though Jigs, creature grubs and plastic worms including sinko types are the the most dependable ticket around here. Fish docks. Follow shaded areas.,

if your in the right place at the right time water color will not matter muck. Inpicked up a 5.42 LMB off a neighbors dock about late pink up tine this evening. First 5 for this year. They might bee getting into the spawn. This one had a pretty bloody tail.

The water clariety does not bother them that much. I guess they adjust a bit but you got to adjust a lot more. Last week it was very good for both crappoe and bass. At that time you could not see below the surface. I caught several on plastic worms and on jigs. matter of fact you could catch them on top waters and wacky worms. They were shallow. Then in one day the whole bottom fell out. Things had not improved by day before yesterday when I left for Herman. I would think though you just need to get out there and work them till you establish some sort of pattern. Keep in mond were on the verge of Thunderstorms moving in.

Do not be to sure of that. You can hardly see below the surface in the in the mid Gravois but I have geen catching a few crappie 10" and longer with the largest close to 12" Using a 3 1/2 to 4 inch swim bait. Also a few keeper bass up to better than 17 inches on a jig. I have not left mine or my 2 neighbors docks. Funny thing is the fish seem to be early and late pattern just like a clear water pattern that is normal for now. I only fish for a couple hours a day. I am going to get out though starting tomorrow. I do not like to fight the wind we been having this week.
