  1. Sounds to me like you horsed that fish.
  2. Ahhhh how I lng for the days when only drag I had was my thumb.
  3. NESS and others downing LOZ. Please cobntinue. i apprecite your lowering our traffic volumn. Table Rock is the place fpr wake boats. I am looking forward to the cruisers bar down there. You can bet it will happen in time. It is just a matter of political manuvers.
  4. Turds might wash in but the rest comes throu crack in rocks called quaffers from mikes away. when you understand them you will know how futile it is to keep any wter clean. Just to many people.
  5. Yep the same kind there is in all lakes with people around. It come down throught the quaffers in the form of affients. then there is fish. wonder how much the tonnage is a day on fish dung. IN my area we have been on full sewers for a few years now. That os the only answer anywhere. affluents. Affiants can come from areas miles away from the lake. It is hsppening everywhere. we have been polluting outr ground water for years.
  6. I think it was just the lady of the house laying down the law.
  7. what tou want is someone to predict accidents for you. I do not know how tharis posible.
  8. Sorry thumper I will not be biting on this alleged miracle. But if you keep trolling through here I imagine you should pick up a few fish.
  9. Up your line test to 8-10 lb test and forget about the leader. i assume you think the tiny leader is so the fish can't see it. That might matter some with trout but it does hot mean a thing in my book for bass. they are more concerned with what is on the end of the line than the line itself and what it is doing.
  10. Well thabk you Phil I think we should take advantge of your offering. I am sure if Wrench came he would be very helpful. He is all for helping others. Lets me suggest. Maybe we could all meet at JB Hooks for breakfast and coffee some morning. I think that would be nice.
  11. WHERE TO BEGIN !!!!!! I cannot even clearly recall all of them. When I was in my early 20's I used to trot line a back water lake in IL other side of hardin. I and some other poeple went together and leased the fine little shack up cabin. for a year. Most only only came up on the 4th of july are fpr the big turtle cook and picnic in Meppin IL. I cannot count the number of times I about got stuck on stumps in the middle of he night. But getting back to a nice bed in that cabin sire made up for it.
  12. i have ny share of jugging around me. never bothers me on the lest. I do not know what is going on up there but ot sounds like some people being arrogant. if it happened here. No worry something would happened to the equipment.
  13. As one who has spent in the New Madrd fault area. I can gaurantee you it shakes pretty regular.
  14. i have not looked but there is a writeup somewhere with several serrinos that was part of the planning here a few years ago. I do not think it would take a very big break at all in the earthen wings of the da,n to make a disaster. As i recall they felt the break would expand far to rapidly. It was a interesting study I am going to look for it.
  15. That would be sometime wrench. It is far from impossible. The first responders from the the counties sirrounding LOZ have been practicing and planning just in case of such a event. Truman is a earthen dam.It could weaken just like any dike along the Mississippi. I can see the constant shaking going on from oklahoma causing at least some of those reservoir out in the area to start leaking.
  16. Can you explain to me if that is true how come this one was felt some places and not others. St. Louis felt nothing but accross the river they did.
  17. I got a better one just knock off the tournament stuff since it has never improved the world, nature, or anything else. Best fisherman are the ones I the shops and store. Reeling in the human fish
  18. You all understand how fracking works I suppose. They take oil out of the earth that has been make by the earths own heat. Then they go and fill up the quafers and what not with waste water. It would certainly seem to me that the water is going to heat up and expand. I understand the vibrations from a earth quake follow geological formation miles down in the earth. That is why some do not feel it and other do. I see 3's almost constantly out of Okla. maybe we do not feel it up here but I wonder what is going on a hundred or so ft down. It is going on all over the planet. Just down load the My Radar map and select it to be shown. You will be very surprised just how shaky this world is. We certainly do not need to be contributing more to it. They need to pour money into rapid public transit. Everytime I see other places in the world they are so far ahead of us it is pitiful. Katy trail might be a big thing for some of you but that thing could have become a high speed rail.
  19. I have My Radar App. I t reports quakes hourly. It all came from the fracking out in Oklahoma., It will get worse. They will not be satisfied until all the constant shaking out there brings down one of those damns on those nearby lakes. Some days they have 1/2 a dozen small quakes in a matter of hours. They have speculated they could have one out there close to 7.
  20. I agree Mitch but there is a lot of what is wrong with society today involved in that. A lot of being number one are some kind of special person. I have nay fished about 1/2 dozen tournaments in my life. I felt very early on that I did not like the things I seen being promoted by tournament fishing. As I recall I did not do to bad for only my few attempts I think Iand my partner won twice and came in second one time. But I just did not think it was fun to compete with that I greatly loved to do. Besides that I am much more comfortable fishing alone. My mind tends to connect with the things around me and by extension to the fish.
  21. I would suggest measuring the fish and scoring by total inches. I do not post pictures in here. I do post a few with a couple friends and they are all on measuring tapes. Awful lot of the fish I see on here are exaggerated.
  22. good care is very important. They have made some advances also in radiation treatment. I went thru 8 weeks of it myself this year . I have not had my 12 week test yet. But they tested me 3 weeks after they were done and There was none. A good doctor will deal with things early and will not wait and say "let's see what what developers.
  23. Now your talking getting something done.
  24. My crappie fishing this year has been limited to a greenish blue $69 buck crappie light. Have actually done very little of it but my son and his wife and one other person have caught enough crappie doing that from a few docks in my area than you can imagine. Did not work everytime but when it did the numbers and quality were way way up there. I am betting LOZ is going to have a banner bragging season next spring.
  25. Well it will be when it gets this old your have affeunts, gas and oil in the water. You need to read up on quafers septic tanks and how far thing go thru the ground. Those two thing are your major threats LOZ Is getting cleaner. There are more and more sewer systems installed yearly. I was referring to corp of engineer bussiness. I would Like to see you all fire in the right direction if your going to fight them. A federal law must be made by Congress. The law in question here gives the Corp of engineers broad powers to manage the waters of the nation. What I see going on down there are directives that they have issued under the law that allow them to. You will have a real hard time fighting the CORP. .You need to get your federal representative involved as positive allies In your behalf Without there push you got a lost cause. All the gripping will do no good. You got to spark thief interest so that they do are on your side. You got to get those law makers off their --- . Those in Congress can do that. You Do that and directives can disappear overnight.
