Old plug

The other day when returning from springfield on 44 I seen a a tackel store on just off the hwy. Did not get the name,but there was a large Yellow Lews sign on the side faceing 44. There wss a name on the front but Mrs leadfoot was driving and I did not have time to see it. Maybe she seen it before me and mashed the car into passing gear. What is it like.

I think its nice your getting a boat. However I know you ply the waters of LOZ. that boat is a bit small for large lakes so be careful.

I second that Doc. The key to catching fish on shad is freshness. I have used frozen ones but it just is not the same. Just more foolishness from some hustler that believes we were all born yesterday. Then again there is a lot of evidence to support that.

both of my battery charges are only 11/2 amp. Never have a problem with them. i have caught a 10 amp trickle type charging at the top of the indicator and humming real hard. Thtviscwhen Inchanged to the little charger. Pretty hard for one of thoseclittle things to over charge.

I might be the least educated person on this forum Also struggle with my though and getting them down in writing at my age. i will make my position clear here. i am neither liberal or conservative. I voted twice for Obama. I thought that he had some directions we need to be going. Of course I do not agree with everything he done. But I do not disagree with everything he done based on his color. Like it is clear many on this forum do. As far as Phil goes I have never met him. And do not care if I ever do. I think he is a bussiness men number 1. That is the reason he made this forum. I can understand his desire to keep the forum pure. Those are commendable things. As far as th forum goes I think its bad for your wallet because on a whole your a gullible bunch. That is what it is designed to do, As far as Phil goes I have not looked him in the eyes and had a good conversation with him. I do not think much if his trout tournament stuff either. I pay taxes to stiock those trout in there for peoole to enjoy. There is something wrong with having trout tournments. I believe he is a religious person who is following his christian beliefs as they are taught to him. if it was not for bored I amsure I would have made my last post long ago.

MJK----- Well then count your blessings. Fish when you can and enjoy it for what it is. While you can. MARK------ I will check into it. I have a friend that owns a upscale gift shop and tackle store. Mostly rod amd reel repair. Not as much tackle anymore. The box stores and on line stores and online outfits make it very hard for him to carry a big inventory. i will talk to him about it. I do not think he carries Falcon but it would not surprise me if he has some around. He is a collector of reels and lures. One of the top If not the top one in the nation.

I flip and pitch 90 percent of the time. iNhave a couple reels incthe $100 range. Yep I like both worms and jigs. Do not even own a a bait anymore that causes any resistnce any larger than a small wilggle wart.

I understand also. Im over 60 myself 17 years over 60 in a monthor so.

This whole bass fishing thing is about money. GETTING YOURS.

Thumbs------ If you can afford it I would not care what anyone bought or used. What worries me is those who should not be doing that because they have other priorities that they out on the back burner. Like I said I have seen it on at least 3 occasions where that kind of thing destroyed a home and family. I use Cherrywood rods because they are very light and it came to the point where I could no longer deal with the weight of my old ugly stiks. I made the conversion about 2 yrs ago and have not had a problem with the 7 of them I own. If I do break one i can get another for $25 or less. At my age I do not need anything that will last me a lifetime. I see some postings on here about those expensive rods breking. I have no doubt it is 99 percent improper use. But still myself I jut cnnot be sure quality is quality in anything anymore.

Glad to see your wife and family has a lot of bearing on your fishing and spending. I have known the placing of fishing above family and budget to destroy a few families.

Sounds like fresh prime meat to me. You have Silver Dollar city. Plus the branson attractions. If the corp want to do this the developers will be beating down their door. Have no idea what the casino laws are in Ark. In Missouri the law is riverboat. Prevents them from doing lakes.

I have 2 Presidents, and a couple of bait casters in that range. I only have 7 rods and they are all cherrywood. For some people Its not about price it something like driving a $65,000 dollar Caddy when you only need A little Ford Focus. Makes them feel better and above others.

Take the money you figure your going to be spending that weekend and buy some stocks very soon. They are a far far better gamble right now than your going to have next fall.

If this forum was a lake it would be a hot spot since it is full of fish to hook.

i was down at PBS this morning. Bought 200 jig hooks, 75 worm hooks and two packs of trailers and a lead snipped pliers. spent $51. Jig hooks were all size 0/1 and 0/3. 100.each of the jig in a box( Eagle Claw O' Shaunesy style) . 50 0/4 worm hooks and 2/5 0/5 worm hooks( PBS brand, Two packs of tournament trailers, and a small led snip pliers. Cost me $51 bucks. Would hve cost me at least twice that much if I would have bought all the expensive stuff some people swear by on here.

Insure hope your right but. I do not wet my panies. I do but i do not live with my head in the sand either. Time will tell.

How about 50 yrs ago. It only came natural when some guy tore up his little creme worm tht he would guy would think to put wht was left on a jig. Mater of fact .i caught fish on tyatvkind of thing in the meramac at least 55 yrs ago.

yeah that would be good. I can a few applictions for it.

Well something unbelievable is going to happen within the lifetime of you younger people. Not sure just what is going to be to be. But with the current state of affairs I am leaning toward it being a revolution are nuclear war. Then there is mother earth herself. Could Be some minor changes that cause big big thing to happen. Maybe be the atlantic belt. It is slowing and will cause a ice age. Metoir hit could do is all in. Both very CERTAIN to happen sooner or later. It has happened before.

i am headed down to springfield tomorrow wrench. I sure want to check out that worm he had in the video. If i get some will be using it on a jig head. It looked real supple in that video.
