Are all these locker bars constructed like this one???? It really is one is to flimsy to stop a thief. Just remember where there is a will there is a way. I can remember one night at holiday landing On Wappappello Lake when some thieves stole 3. motors off a lighted dock with people camped nearby. The amazing thing was None of them were small. If I recall they were from 40hp to 150 hp. It only took them a short while to do it also. It amazes me to this day.

I have never heard of that lock a bar. My only thing about that is it will draw undo attention. Make them think you got some real hot stuff in there. I am not sure i would want that. There is a big rummage sale.almost every weekend up in Versaille accross from the High School. I have seen fishing tackel up there that I did not think was rummage sale class stuff. I seen one guy with about 5 or 6 Long ducket rods there.Would not surprise me if some stollen tackel did. not wind up there.

Well Seth you seem like a pretty darn good SM fisherman I imagine the people who know you in real life have no doubt you ability. That is the only people that really matter anyway. Only thing I wonder about is if you have ever stepped on a hook in your bare feet. ???? They are real hard to get out of bare feet.

Try netting the bait fish. Then just drop them down on a hook and line. If they do not bite it. try it unweighted. I think they believe it is something falling that has been injured. Lights work on LOZ. very well at this time.

No I never said anything about finesse. You just do not understand what i do. I just do not use tiny baits to try to catch big fish. I can finesse a 12 inch plastic worm.

Plastics and how they sink is something I have been doing for many years Mitch. I have a box with nothing but hooks and weights in my boat. Everything from tiny split shot to 3/4 oz bell sinkers. There are other things beside the construction of the bait that play into sink rate as well. The type of line your using will effect the sink rate. so will the general depth you are fishing again depending on the line. If I was limited to one setup it would be 1/4 oz on a 12 lb test mono line. That will about work over all. But when you talk about salt effecting the sink rate your getting into finessing. That is mostly my aim even with 12 inch plastic worms.

Climate change I guess is partly generated by corporate greed.

GOGGLE-EYED. If You get over to this area try to to visit the treatment plant that belongs to the Morgan county Sewer District. It is state of the art. The treatment is so extensive when the water leaves the plant it is. totally sterile. there is nothing in it at all. They have a final system of some sort of lights that the water flows. under that assures that.

sounds like a shallow well. I would still turn the testing over to someone out there who knows. I agree with killroy. They can test the whole thing for you. The levels are so small that can harm you a Lab has to run the test. most counties I know have a office for that. Many times they will just give you a couple bottles and you fill them with water from the well and take them to them. They measure all that stuff in Parts Per Million. I am sure there is some bacteria in there. But your going to need a Lab to tell you how much. If you are going to just use the water for washing all you need to do is drop swimming pool choline tablets down in it. That is a very common practice in many rural areas because of ground water contamination. Ground water contamination is a serious national problem. That is why almost all the people I know with wells use bottled water for drinking water.

If I was you I would find out who is the locale well guy and let him test and examine the well. If the well is real old it may not have a sleeve in it either.

I nave about 1/2 dozen of those gray colored bair jigs they sell at Pro Bass shops . They call them Smallmouth jigs. Around here I use them in them in In Sept and Oct to pitch docks. They could be tied sturdier. They do have a nice drop rate on 10 or 12 lb test line though.

i caught a smallmouth way up in Mill Creek cove. Was about a foot long. I run a 18 ft targa and it will take anything LOZ can throw at it.

i really like the looks of that area down there but in spite of being out here well over 25 yrs i have never fished it from a boat. If I did I imagine i would be rolling plastics like jigs and worms through all those eddies and any root wads I could find. thats about the way I fished streams years ago.

I am not going to argue with anybody about what lake is better etc. I will only say again that as TR ages there will be more and more affeaunants entering the lake. ABkEENAN. Tell me what do affuents look like. since you have seen them here in the lake with your very eyes.

I just like the slower sink rate you can get from a buck tail jig that is tied with the right amount of hair.

I think mostly Mitch it is mainly a personal selection. My self when I started out that is about all there was as far as bass go. Given my druthers it would still take a well made and balance hair jig over anything else. i do not remember what brand I bought but they were we dressed in buck tail just the right amount of hair for the jigs weight. .

COE has nothing to do with LOZ and it would have been better if they did many years ago. You see the power company holds title to large expanses of land that years ago unscrupulous developers sold off to people as lake front lots. Now there is a big battle going on about it. There are homes businesses and everything else you can imagine on that ground that the company is now claiming rights too. Nobody realized thIs until a couple years ago.
