From what I have seen of thos atuff going on down there with the COE I am glad InwLivecon LOZ. My dock is wired to NEC specifcations. Bit it looks to me like your qrea is playing games. I also have a blue navigational light on my dock. Never seen mention of that on here dor Table Rock while at thexsame time I see excessive requirements for things down there. I do nt think about 1/2 the dock owners on LOZ and installers realy realize what the requirments are, Inspections should be made simple you just need to test the waters around the dock for leakage. I doo it a few times a year. Just seen a alleged installer miswire two docks in my immediate area .They replaced all the outlet on the dock with standard routlets. Told my beighbor it would ever pass a inepection. Right away he wanted to bet me. Told me therere was a GFI in the box ( there is suppose to be) on the bank ant that would take care of anything. WRONG. The NEC insist on GFCI on dock and within 6 ft of any water outlet in your home.

What I do is go to certain places that I know the bass will rise to feed in the evening. Usaully about 1/2-3/4 of a hour before total darkness. They do not feef on the surface. They do not do his all the tme. Also like other fishing it varies in how well it will turn out. It os really a chancey bussiness. When you catch it right you can put a 5 bass stringer of 15 lbs or better in very fast. What I have not done on a bluff is try to time that feeding spree. I know it would take a lot of investigating. Real rime fish moving up and down does not relate To what I am doing. the fish show a certain patern about ten feet that tell me theyare on the prowl.

Jim with the folks that know you and what kind of fisherman you are that is all that means anyhting. With them it is not needed to prove what I said I caught. Reason I am secrerive is because this is a public forum.

I do not do straight down bluffs either. But I think it would pay me toreally try it with plastic worm during the eve ing feeds. Only bluff type structure I fish with a drop shot is if the edge of the bluff is submerged down pretty deep and I fish on the top shallower area. Been catching mine here on LOZ at 20-25

I have that problem woth photos. The few pictures I do take I take whioe the fish is layling on a measuring board on the gunnel of my boat because fhey are going right back in the water. Only do it rarely. Then only oartvof a sort of report to a friend that fishes the same arm of the lake that I do.

I cut my teeth on the uper merimac and wappapelo at the same time. I really believe that they two are about equal. It is all about reconizing the the right time, place amd way. If you have the concentration amd your sout is about 1/2 fisherman you will do this.

Past 3 years I just could not fish wth a heavy rod. I bought a couple Berky cherrywod and cannot be happier. They go out just about every evening for 1 to 3 hours from early spring till late fall. They are very senitive. well made and generally suit me fine. I am not a bit sure people are getting anything more than I am out of my $25 dollar Cherrywoods. As far as feel goes I believe 90% of the that comes from your own tackle set up and your ability. I know I am going to see post now about my rods have no strength. but I remember seeing numerous post on here oof people complaining about how there precious expensive rods broke. I have a friend that owns a Tackle Shop where I hang out. . I see these broken rods coming in and the greatest majority of them are from abuse. I think it is more about keeping up appearances than need.

when I buy a 7 ft rod Inwant to get as much length into the rod itself as I can. rods sold as 7 ft are for the most part only about 6 1/2 ft above the reel seat. These things with the split handle will be even shorter above above thag. .I just think a rod shoud be sold by the length above the reel seat. I do not like the way the back part of the dual handle bumps mys arm when trying to cast it.

Just what is your point quillback. You think a 80 yr old cannot drive a boat. I sas,a youngun fallout of his boat right here in front of the house while trying to fish docks in a heavy wake just teasterday. On this lake you can swamp a 21 ft bass boat real easy. Very intelligent youngun to stand up and operate a foot controlled troller in heavy wakes. -
That is exactly right. It does not even need to be rocky or even a bank. What it needs to be is a spot where the forage is and is close to deeper holding water. This system is nothing new. I know of people who have been doing this many years. So the only thing cat out of the bag about it has been that it has been lightly discribed on this forum discribed on this forum. Even when you find them it can be a chancy buisness. If the fish are really zeroed in on the forage you can throw anything you want at them and they will ignore it. They a.so can be finicky about how it falls. I also have not had much lyck dragging plugs thru them. Time of your attenp to catch these fish is very critisal because it does not last long. They will fill their bellies very fast with that forage abd return to their dolldrum in the deep. This past couple of weeks I have bee catching them from almost on the surface to about ten foot over fish holding 15 to25 ft down. It worked but it is not working now for me. All the signs are there though that it should be. So I will go do something else and let them rest.

Money Has nothing to really do with it people like that will runnng these big boats. My neighbor accorss the road brought home a New 21 foot skeeter with 250 on it. for him it was something like pocket change. He is a tradesman young and married to money( I suspect) and down home plain. Only thing I would like to tell him ( but never would) is that all the money in the world will not make you a good fisherman. It takes hours and hours on the water fishing and searching for understsnding of the fish not the commercializatio These people running around out here are from the Yuppie class types. They like to spend their last dime roll playing and fooling themselfes that they are superoir to others. When I first went into management they told me just remember that your country club and they are sweat shop. To this day I hate that sort of thinking. But that is how a lot are. They are a good part the reason we have this natinal aftitude today. -

Well you all cam read this amd learn something and then again it might just throw a monkey wrench into your trip. Bass Just are where you find them. Past coupleple days I been catching bass on large plastic worms with a 1/4 or 5/16 weight on them. Been catching the bass at 2-10 ft in water 25 to over 40 ft deep. -
i headed down around my point my point late this evening. And there sits some guy and a woman way out on the point. They were in what appeared to be a 15 ft bass boat. There was not a ft of freeboard all the way around. Considering that they were sitting was right on the main drag to Coconut bar, about 100 yards from where they recovered the Elison kids body and the big wake boats weregetting numerous. I would have to say they were living very dangerously. I really expected to see them floundering in the water wjen Icame back around about 10 minutes later. It is not hardcto scarecme off the water around here is in a18 1/2.ft Targa. I expect to not be oit on the wat tilll next Wednesday eveming.

there is onlyone problemand that is tha nationall attitude and how it is reflected in everything from our highways to our byways, politics amd anything else.Americans are acting like self centered spoiled children. It is alway ME ME ME first.
-
That is exactly how it is with your buddies Mitch. Only Good thing I note in my neighborhood is that there are just virually not tournaments and very few fisherman. Especially on the weekends. Maybe it s becaise the fishing has gotten pretty bad in this area this year.

Questions remain over handcuffed man drowning
Old plug replied to Brian Jones's topic in Conservation Issues
Anyone who lives here and had any sort of dealing with Piercy knows the kind of attitude he demonstrated. I have no doubt he blew his top at the kid and just was not thinking. He seened to think he was superior to the rest of us. It is not like I am way off looking back. I am like Wrench i live right here in the neoghborhood. -

Bluebird and High Pressure This Weekend
Old plug replied to Seth Clarkson's topic in Table Rock Lake
The peroid you were fishing in is what I was talking about for this time of year. It is a It is a peak feeding period. You might try a heavy jig if you bouncing on the bottom. Sort of thud it along the bottom with small hops. It is sort of like saying suey suey suey to land pigs.
