Hey Bluebasser thanks for the links to the different swim baits styles. I will agree with Champ and never say never, for I told myself that I will never try a Ned rig. Well when the bit gets tough on the Rock high skies and no wind guess what I will try. I also been trying to find a Roman Made Negotiator, but seems like all the tackle retailers are currently out of them. I think all of us would agree that we all have strong passion for fishing or at least I do. Fish whatever makes you happy you only live once.

May be out of your way a little bit but Sportsman Factory Outlet in Springfield might have some

My dad will be down on at Table Rock this weekend, and will try and get a photo. Mitch F had sent me a PM and informed me that he thought a company by the name of Kay Key lure Co. produced the hair jig for Tony. Mitch sent me the number but it is no longer in service, so I assume the company is out of business. Thank you all for your help.

Fish24/7 Did you feel like the perfect 10 rogue got down to 10 feet or so? I fish them a lot last year and they seemed to get a lot deeper then say a Spro Mcstick or a Megabass 110? Also don't know how much you fish that rogue but they have a bigger profile in the water and get bigger bites. Nice job by the way on a good 4hours on water.

Dutch, I wish I did but my dad I believe has one or two back home on Table Rock. I will try and see if he could send one to me. They are a real simple jig and could probably make them myself, but it is a sentimental thing to me. I just remember the trips my dad and I had with Tony. I will see if I can get my dad to dig through his bag and find and get a pic. Thanks

I did call Denny Dennis but no luck Thanks Jak 1717 for the information.

rFisherk Those are some nice looking jigs, but not the jigs I was looking for. The jigs I was looking for where a ball head with one plastic weed guard. They where white, yellow, chartreuse, and black, and they were package with a mister twister trailer. I tried calling the Pontaic marina where they use to sell them maybe 15 years ago. I love to buy these if anyone knows where they might be.

I have been looking for a hair jig that was made for a Bull Shoals Guide named Tony Albright. I had fished with Tony a couple of times in the past and had great fishing days with him. I know he has since pasted and he will be missed. Does anyone know where I can find these hair jigs or knows who makes them? I have tried the marina he use to guide out of with no luck. Thanks for any help.

Champ I did see this fish what a beautiful specimen, and I also believe the MO state record came out of the Rock as well. I just got to put my time in and have some luck. Champ thanks for sharing this picture.

I think the spotted bass is underated, for it is a great fighter, very aggressive and a beautiful looking fish. My goal is to catch one over 5lbs on the Rock. I know probably a steep goal, but going to keep trying.

Hello Vernon, I am not a guide and wish I had more time to get back home to Table Rock. I have fished the Ozark area lakes for a long time and here are my suggestions. I have also suggested brands that have been very productive for me. I am sorry your tackle got stolen, and hope this helps a little. Spring Time: Jerk baits Spro Mcsticks and Megabass Vision 110 (Norman Flake and Pro blue) Spinnerbaits War Eagle Jigs: Nutech Jigs (Bo is on the forum and is a very helpful person). Crankbaits Wiggle Warts Summer Time Crankbaits Norman DD22 Dropshots small worms with purple in them Big Worms 10" Berkley powerbaits Spoons White Football Jigs Purple and brown Fall Time Squarebill crankbaits Stike Kings, Spro , and Jackall are what I throw but there are a lot of good ones out there Spoons white War Eagle and Dixie Jet are good Spinnerbaits War Eagle Mouse is a great color Wiggle warts Winter Time Jerkbaits Spros and Megabass Spoons White or Chrome Rapala Ice jigs Drop shots Alabama Rig I hope this helps, but there are a lot of guys on here that are on the water more and maybe they can help you. Good Luck

Ordered mine! Land Big Fish has them as well.

Duck, My father and brother where fishing off the far end of Virgin Bluff over Thanksgiving week. They caught about 12 or so in hour with about 5 keepers. But they said the Crappie where acting very strange after they would release them. They would float and then my brother said he grabbed one and the air bladders where coming out?? I thought that was very strange since they where catching them in about 15-18 feet of water. Did any of your fish do this??? I was wondering why this was happening??

Thanks for the advice! I hope there is open water down there in December! WOW it is cold!

Bo, The smallmouth are fun, for they seem fatter and more round then the fish on Table Rock. My buddy owns a fly shop so I can get any color buck tail. I was thinking of tying black, brown, and maybe throw some color in like blue or orange. Bo any suggestions with color for Table Rock?
-
Thanks Bo! What a great jig! I have just jaw jacking the smallmouth here in New York with them. I also love the videos you are posting on you tube. I can't wait to use them when I get back home to Table Rock in December. I was going to try and order just the Nutech pro series head and tie some up with buck tail to use in December too. Love to support local business back home in Missouri!

I would agree with Bo on this as well, for this is a bait that probably not thrown that much on Table Rock or other Ozark lakes. My Uncle loves throwing a rattle trap and does well with it in the Spring and Fall. I don't know if anyone has tried the one knocker or silent versions, but I bet down in the clearer water they would work well. Hey Fish 24/7 try throwing them for a day, for it is something different and a useful tool to cover water very quickly. This time a year I feel that is key COVER WATER!

Just got my Nutech order and the jigs look great! Can't wait to try them out! Thanks again for all the advice
-
Thank you all for the helpful advice! I will be putting in an order his week.

I am new to the Nutech line of baits, and I was wondering if they are the real deal. I was on there website last night and they seem to be pretty snagless, so if anyone has any experience with them I would love to here about it. Thanks

Merc, Who makes the black widow spinner baits? If you don't mind to share?

Bill, My dad and I where fishing the James not far from Cape Fair last weekend, and caught 30-40 K's all where very healthy. Some where still spawning for we caught them off some gravel, but caught some off ledge rock as well. All of these fish were caught on jigs, and the top water bite was very slow last weekend. Hope the K's show up for you down lake.

Thanks great report. Looks like you boys had a great trip.

I like the Falcon Cara T7 7' Med great rod, but I have been using a fiberglass rod lately and I really like it. I know fiberglass rods are heavier but David Fritts has American Rod Smith that is very nice for about $70.
