  1. Caught a bunch of trout again this morning then moved to the bank and caught these on back to back casts. Let them go after a photo op
  2. You can fish off fall creeks dock for $5 a day, you can fish the copper creek access dock and the docks at the Branson landing for free. There is also a public park where turkey creek runs into Taney across from scotties as well as the park where Roark runs into Taney. All can be good fishing at times.
  3. Fished the lower lake again this morning. Caught around 15 or so but they were biting funny, not taking a jig great, just nipping at it. Probably hooked up and lost twice as many as I caught. Good morning but could of been great if they would of stayed hooked up. Mainly chased schools of midgers around. Was weird everytime it would sprinkle they would stop midging then when the rain stopped here came the fish again. I also think they bit better after the fog burned off which seemed weird again to. Size was decent but bit quite as many bigger ones as the last few days. Still a really good morning on the best place on earth! Yesterday I ran up and fished from the cable down to short creek with the water running. Threw a jerkbait the entire float and caught 5 brownies and 6 bows. Biggest brownie was about 16 inches and had a couple bows in the 17 inch range. Just flat got to dang hot for me yesterday afternoon so back to the pool with the family I went.
  4. Weird camera angle trying to take a selfie but it truly was long. Just a tank of a fish and mean as can be
  5. Pick away any time. Always glad to help. It's so peaceful with not much boat traffic and the scenery is beautiful
  6. Done really well so far this week from bee creek or rockaway on some really nice rainbows. Done pretty decent rockaway to empire on the bass. Not caught many but when I catch one the size is great. Been a great week so far
  7. Went back again tonight and catching wasn't as great but it was good for sure! What a beautiful area of the lake to and so peaceful
  8. If you don't mind me piggy backing or help your report I fished the lower lake this morning cause the fog was just to thick to get all the way up from below the landing. From the bee to rockaway there are alot of rainbows and some are very nice, they obviously have been in the lake awhile. On a couple occasions I saw schools that had 50 to 100 fish in them. Lots of midging going on too. The landing has the usual lots of fish but they aren't near the size that they are down stream. Sculpin/amber sculip peach with orange heads tricked a ton this morning
  9. are they launching this round out of moonshine beach? kinda looks like it. i'll be on taney starting tomorrow for a week but might drive up to watch them launch a bit if we are in that area.
  10. I have 3 that I have pins/certificates for. Is there somewhere I can email you the pictures and have them added? I would be happy to, it's a cool page!
  11. you can NOT. I'm going to throw some but it won't be up there obviously.
  12. test test.....holiday weekend and no postings. I'll be down for 8 days starting Saturday, if they continue the flow pattern I plan to throw a jerkbait until my arm feels like jello from one dam to the other trying to catch a big brown. Probably gonna throw some swimbaits to see what I can do with those as well both up and down lake looking for big brown or green fish either one.
  13. that can be tough to do with that summer fog ahahah. when you headed back down my friend? Can't believe you haven't been there with the gates open. Thanks for the help guys.
  14. 97 views and no comments......the legend that is Taneycomo bass continues. I'm not looking for spots at all just wondering if the main lake holds fish in the summer or not or if they all seek out the creeks and coves.
  15. The last couple of years I've figured out where the bass are pretty good in the winter time on Taney......summer is a different animal to me. Are there any fish on the mainlake in the summer or do they all go back in the slough, creeks and coves in the warmer water? I keep trying to tell myself the big ones will stay on the main lake and eat trout but am I wrong? are they all going back to the warm water? am I totally wasting time even considering the main lake at all?
  16. Seth I'm a falcon only guy and you would love an Amistad. Tell you what, if you want a good deal American Legacy Fishing has Falcon Low rider Amistads for $99 with free shipping.
  17. You kidding me DJ? How freaking cool is that? When did you take that picture? Wish I had known I woulda hit you up for a sneak peak. That's absolutely mine. Small small world man.
  18. Don's work is amazing and he seems like a great guy as well. Terrific communication also.
  19. Thanks Marty!
  20. I wanted to share a picture of my replica I got made and just got back of my 10+ pound rainbow from last fall. With a suggestion from Phil Lilley I chose Don Frank from KC to do it and I think he did just a marvelous job. Thanks again for the suggestion Phil. He did a great job with the orangish pink gill plates and fins. Pictures don't do it justice but I wanted to share.
  21. if you pour at all the Do it Molds "walleye jig" is a flat sided jig perfect for taney. I pour my own and tie my own. A lot of sense of pride in doing that and I'm able to put an awesomely sharp hook in mine.
  22. I might just do that. It sounded fun as heck. I actually went down to bass fish lower Taney but finally got my wit's about me and took advantage of the flood gates and I'm so glad we did!
  23. Wanted to share some video I recorded from this weekend of a few of our jerkbait fish. First fish was a 20 inch brown which short lined me at the boat and made me call for the net about 12 times in 6 seconds hahaha. Ended up with 16 Browns Saturday on jerkbaits and probably another 10 rainbows. Also caught alot of rainbows on jigs but over 25 fish on a jerkbait was really the highlight cause it's so darn fun. We lost 3 really big ones which tends to be the case when throwing the stick baits but that is all part of the fun. All fish were released unharmed and swam away great! ***Of note I waited to post this after Seth and DJ posted their beautiful brown this morning. I'm in no way competeting against them I'm just adding some supplement video we captured to show how great the weekend was for lots of folks on the water. Was really happy for both of them on their awesome weekend filled with a win and a big brown to boot!
  24. Congrats man what a beautiful fish!!
  25. Thanks man. Seen you guys several times today, gave you guys a wave but didn't wanna disturb you since you were in the tournament. We did awesome on white jigs before you guys all got to the cable but when all the boats showed up we drifted on down and started throwing jerkbaits and just had an epic day on them. All 16 Browns were on a jerkbait and we lost 3 that were bigger than the 20 incher I landed. 2 of them that we lost were WAY bigger. Even had alot of bows on the jerkbait, all in all I bet we hooked close to 25 brownies today. That is really nice to see for a change! That's how it goes though, I can look at a jerkbait and get 3 hooks in me, a fish can slam it and somehow not get hooked? Ahahah. Anyhow I'm glad you guys had a great day as well. Safe travels home to all of you!
